They also stated that the POI they were looking for was included in the 3 people.

I can't understand this at all............they just let him walk........??

For real ??

All day long I had just been thinking it was just semantics (POI not "arrested" or "detained", but yet probably being questioned). But according to that, NOPE. :/

Excellent thought! You just cannot get rid of those sparkles!

Ok, I'm 50 pages behind but just heard on wtop news radio that the apartment that LE is searching is on Georgetowne rd. In case that is new info.

it happens all the time. and maybe he was trying to protect her in some timid, unsure way. at this point, all we are doing is speculating and projecting.

Yup, and I am speculating that his behavior is unusual to the point of being disturbing.

This case got attention because Hannah is a young woman at a prestigious university whose last moments before being abducted were caught on tape. Parents worry that this could be their child, away at college. The fact that she is British caused their media to take interest too. It also happened in the DC metro area, and the national media likely pays more attention to stories in major media markets. Also, LE is releasing info and holding PC's so there is always something new to report. And of course, there is a lot of public interest.

I believe that LE investigating HG's case is handling things much better that UVA did of MH' case. Much Much better!

He was not "checking her out". If he were doing that, then it would have been barely noticeable on the footage. He was following her, which is disturbing stuff. If some old dude were following me around, then I would be very scared for my safety. Checking out a pretty girl is normal, purposefully following one is very suspicious and very abnormal. I once had a guy do this to me when I was drunk and it left me shaking and in tears by the time I made it to my car and drove off. I think he probably thought he was just "checking me out" but I thought, "this man is about to rape me".

Following a woman around is very, very sketchy to me and ain't no one here going to convince me otherwise.

I totally agree with you on so many levels! If he wanted to help her as he stated then why didn't he walk up to her and chat with her. Ask her if she was okay and if she needed help? I am not convinced that he wasn't up to something shady. If I saw a guy following me like that I would have ran and called police. For all we know dread guy could have seen him following her and came up and put his arm around her so he'd leave her alone and stop following her.

If they don't have enough evidence to arrest him what are they supposed to do? Risk the whole case by bringing him to the station to waterboard him? I'm sure LE has officers watching every move this guy makes. Sorry to sound irate...I'm not.

Sexual assaults at or near colleges are only just starting to be reported a bit more in recent years. I think they happen every single weekend at most schools. We hear about a fraction of them, imo.

I totally agree.

Both of you can forget it.

The odds of two killers/abductors working together are astronomical. Please feel free to cite past cases.

The odds of one of them being white, the other black, are far beyond astronomical.

Mr david c , you be surprised when money is involved only color that matter is green. I have seen gang members who have shot at the other rival an mothers and family member then work with them to make profit. Ill give you a good example the robberies in Nevada of a casino. two rival gangs got together and pulled that off.... You seem to miss understand only way to pull of certain things off is to align your self with better or another criminal of the craft.

Not every man is fit to do every single thing in the criminal craft. If one get caught( a rival) , its don't matter they still a rival, none care.. Some make sure your caught to. For the balance of power and money in their favor..

The WG looked like Frankenstein's monster to me in the way he was following Hannah. Almost looked like someone was remote controlling him ... (I know that wasn't the case, but he did seem so intent on trailing her.)

I have no idea what part this older man plays in this case.
If I listen to what LE is saying, he seems to be nothing more than a witness.
I agree, it seems odd for a man to be following a young girl late at night.
But seriously, we do not know any of the details.

I keep seeing the group of young men behind her and i strongly feel they could have made her nervous
And I can understand that this man may have overheard things and just put himself between her and the group

she's 18. she's legal. stop diminishing the word pedophile by applying it to situations it shouldn't be applied to.
Well even if that isn't the technical term it still the term I would use. You can't convince me otherwise. I have 2 daughters and if I seen a man of that age following my girls I'd be a force to be reckoned with, that's all I'm saying.

because some people are awkward and don't want to make the girl feel more afraid. people don't always think these matters through. maybe he didn't think she'd see him... he wanted to be like a white knight waiting in the wings

THANK YOU for the link. He looks exhausted (as a lot of us do too!)

I agree. It's apparent he's invested in finding Hannah and seeking justice (should it be required) for her.
