I'm on the same page as you. I meant for the people standing up for AH. The recording of JD calling AH out for hitting him and she is heard admitting it. AH gaslights him every chance she gets. If the tables were turned.......

BBM - From what I understand about the UK case - Depp was suing the Sun and Amber was just a witness for the Sun. Since Amber was a witness and not a party to the lawsuit, Depp was not able to enter evidence against Amber's claims or at least not to the extent he is able to bring forth in this Virginia case.

Also, UK law governing Depp's defamation case against the Sun - the Sun only had to prove that there was a 51% probability of Amber's claims against Depp were true. IMO the UK judge erred in his statement giving credibility to Amber's claims as the case was not whether or not Amber was truthful but whether or not the Sun had a 51% probability of their article being true.

I've yet to see actual proof JD was ever a wife-beater. Has anyone provided medical documentation or law enforcement documentation?? I guess we will eventually see AH's witnesses. And, I wonder if anyone has changed their testimony since the UK case against The Sun.

It has been my experience that the abused individual would not taunt the abuser or call the abuser names. The abused would not yell at the abuser. The abused would not strike the first blow to the abuser. The abused would not chase after the abuser. The abused would not be mad at the abuser for locking themselves in a room and refusing to come out to continue the fight. The abused would not walk away smiling/smirking at an undamaged camera after being caught recording her abuser attacking cabinets.

From what I can remember from the opening statements of this trial, IMO AH's team will tell Amber's side of the story. Complete with testimony from her friends.

They will also introduce MAKEUP, as an excuse to why not one person ( other than her or her friends) including any medical personnel or law enforcement who were there saw a thing.

They will also call many Domestic Violence specialists to the stand. ( Who never personally saw a bruise or a mark on her face)

They will attempt to disregard the LE testimony from JD's team as tarnished and misogynistic. "They did everything wrong!" Therefore just because they (LE ) said they didn't see anything doesn't mean it wasn't there.

I will watch, I will listen to the testimony. But, at this point after watching the trial so far, I am not a believer at all of AH and all of her claims. MOO

AFAIK, Amber has yet to turn over her phone and the photos to Depp's team so they can have them forensically examined. I wonder if the date of the video or audio have been verified by metadata.

What happens Depp's team are not given access to the phone and photos to authenticate the metadata prior to Amber testifying ? Will her team be able to enter the photos into evidence if Depp's team have not had the opportunity to examine the metadata ?

I'm not a lawyer so I can't say for sure, but my understanding is that both teams need to be given all evidence brought forward in the case.

That^^^ is vital information. If AH is telling the truth, there will have to be PHOTOS taken on the 'right day', which show her alleged injuries. Even if she was wearing makeup to conceal, which I doubt, she would have taken photos as soon as the bruises first appeared.

Why wouldn't she pass them that discovery if it was all on her phone at the right times?

It is unusual for a narcissist to decide not to testify because they feel they are able to win over everyone and have tremendous faith in their genius intellect and their abilities to charm and convince others, even if using deceit to do so. JMO

Justice Andrew Nicol (the judge in the UK defamation trial) previously worked at Doughty Street Chambers. And, the attorney, Jennifer Robinson of Doughty Street Chambers, represented AH in the UK defamation case. Maybe this happens all the time and there's no prejudice among attorneys and judges. However, for such high-profile case... I'm not sure this should have occurred.

Yes she can choose not to. The defense said a couple of times when questioning Depp that Heard would be telling her side though.

And, like @katydid23 said, she won't be able to help herself. No way she'll miss an opportunity to be in the spotlight.
