I kept waiting for his google searches info… all that kept popping into my mind as I read about this case was “hos long to die”. And now we have it! So much for his skills as an IT person and on his work computer of all places…smdh

He seemingly had it all but couldn’t get out of his own way… an intelligent beautiful successful dedicated wife, a gorgeous baby, nice house on a curl de sac, expensive trendy car… Imo I wouldn’t doubt that mommy influenced him to assert his dominance and authority over her to “ keep her in line”if he wasn’t already doing so before she arrived. Did I read somewhere that there were other people LE were looking at who may have helped with Mamta’s murder?

Poor Mamta was too good for him and he knew it. She probably married him thinking he was on her level intellectually, educationally, and he was emotionally mature at 30 something, that he was already established in the US with a career, maybe he had some savings, and that they could build a beautiful life together.

Poor Mamta and that poor innocent baby who has lost both her parents.

WOW, how and why is the Secret Service involved? Should this not be FBI ?

This does not appear to fall under their jurisdiction, unless there is something we don't know.

Moo
He was an IT contractor working in the White House. His computer is their jurisdiction. He is not currently employed by the contractor though.

Good point. I remember vaguely that he worked “at the White House”, I think I read this as a congratulatory post on his FB. His LinkedIn shows IT Specialist DoD (Department of Defense) in the header section where achievements/knowledge is listed.

Not sure if related.

Yes, and the searches were made in APRIL. She disappeared in July. I'm not sure if his termination or layoff date has been clarified, but happened in that time frame and had to raise the stress level of the household significantly. Hoping for justice for Mamta and the best life possible for her baby.

He seems pretty unintelligent and not too tech savvy to have landed an IT job in the White House. MOOO.

Wow, I don't remember him working at the White House, was this during his National Guard service? The DC National Guard are protectors of the DC area. (Crowd control for large events, inaugurations )

I still don't see the SS link. Would he be involved in money laundering, bank fraud? He certainly was not on the SS detail.

SS reports to Homeland Security, then Commander and Chief ...President Biden.
They protect constitutional designated protectees and "protect the integrity of our currency and investigate crimes against the U.S. financial system committed by criminals around the world and in cyberspace."

DOD, reports to Commander and Chief...President Biden and is responsible for our military.

DC National Guard report to the President.

He worked from home.

April is important to him, as he said this in an earlier interview:

"That’s the problem. We do not have any conflict. It’s been like since April. We don’t any kind of argument. We do not have that," he said.

We do know that Mamta left at some point, and he convinced her to come back. I wonder if that was in April, which would coincide with the searches (perhaps they were made when she was gone).

If the immigration system had any common sense, they would allow Grandmother to take the wee child back home with her. I hate to think of the time that will be wasted and the money spent on immigration lawyers before the little one is settled with her family. She needs to go now, so she can learn the language as a baby and bond with her mother's family.
From personal experience....
IMO there are different kinds of common senses. Not everyone has the same views; this can be especially relevant when it comes to ethnic, cultural, or geographical backgrounds.
I believe it's important to leave room for what a Nepali family might wish that most Americans wouldn't consider. For instance, there may be high value in an opportunity for family members to move to the US and for the baby to stay. Also, there is a substantial Nepali community in the US and elsewhere in the diaspora. Like many communities of this kind, they maintain their culture and speak their origin language. They speak Nepali. There would be no problem at all with an infant with dual nationality to become completely bilingual in English and Nepali both without ever leaving the US. There are already thousands of kids like that in the US: an American might not experience them in their neighborhood, and they're not taught any kind of alternate language vigor in school, but bilingualism from birth is everywhere. No need to go back to a parents' country to experience a culture. Travel, yes; residence, unnecessary.
Note specifically in this case: the robustness of the local Nepali community is obvious from interviews.

Do you have a link to the White House position? What contractor? I only see work from home jobs.

All White House staff report to the President's Chief of Staff.

The DOD provides uniform military security to the White House.

Links previous posted
Thanks

Again, I'm asking for a link for the White House position. So far no one can provide.

His LinkedIn: NARESH BHATT - General Dynamics Information Technology | LinkedIn - Look in the header section: IT Specialist DoD NMCI. Could be a contracting position (someone above mentioned contractor as well)?

The FB "White House" comment I can't find anymore; just looked for several minutes. It might have been the realtor congratulating on the new house, job and baby, but I might remember the details incorrectly. It for sure said "White House" though. And was around the time of the house purchase.

....
During Monday's hearing, Prince William County Senior Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney Sarah Sami said police were summoned to the Bhatt's home at 9408 Heather Court in February for “disorderly” conduct.

At the time, police spoke to Mamta Bhatt, who said her husband “would not give her her documents and destroyed her phone,” Sami said.
...
According to the prosecutor, investigators collaborated with the Secret Service upon Mamta’s disappearance. Naresh Bhatt, a former federal employee of defense contractor General Dynamics as of earlier this year, performed several suspicious Google searches on his work laptop, prosecutors revealed in court.

I reviewed jobs with Security Clearance they are all in house NO work from home, requiring security clearance.
This contractor has NO jobs located in the White House.

Again, I'm asking for a link for the White House position. So far no one can provide.
It appears he worked for a contracting company, perhaps with WH as client. WH link came from a now seemingly deleted post on FB congratulating him on house, baby, new gig. There have been a lot of IT layoffs, if he was unemployed, not necessarily for cause. More will come out in time. MOOO. People I know who work on such sensitive information all have to work in secured locations and he was said to be remote, so all seems a bit murky. IMHO.

This is NOT a White House job nor special security clearance.
It's sounds like an IT Help Desk job
Again, he worked from HOME. It's a contract company. He did NOT work directly for DOD. I guess he's like many who embellish their resume.

Maybe Secret Service got involved due to possible international and / domestic things not yet apparent? And relating to a potential parentless child? Or input from maybe an Embassy request? IDK. Does seem a little unusual. But glad just the same if it helps with evidence recovery and prosecution of the suspect. MOO

NEW TODAY: Prosecutors revealed the Secret Service came forward w/ new evidence in the case, alleging Naresh Bhatt made these Google searches:“how long to marry after spouse dies” &“what happen debt after spouse dies” These new details shocked Mamta’s friends today @DCNewsNow

Hearing lasted about an hour with both sides presenting their arguments. At a press conference immediately afterwards, friends and supporters of Mamta Kafle Bhatt expressed relief at the judge’s decision @fox5dc
Ha! Gotta get married to someone to look after his child and support him!
