Yes, the area had over 2 feet of snow in places, here in Northern Va the last of it just finished melting (it stayed around for a while).

Lets certainly hope that any evidence may have been preserved as well ..
The snow would certainly slow down any decomp of the body ...
When I read that Morgan's mother asked LE not to take the body away til she got there.
I was so sad for her. Please don't let her last memory of her beautiful baby be this one.
I understand as a mother that would be sacred ground to her.
I'm sure the farmer will keep it sacred for her.
He said he rarely uses that piece, God Bless the family!!!
Here's an aerial of the area.
He said the area would be next to impossible to access from a road, since it's at least a mile and a half from the roadway.
How did the perp get her back there? Tractor?
I don't think the two roads connect. I think they mean that if you go in on Blandemar Road, you can get to the back of the property.
I'm wondering about that building (top left of Shutterfly's post) that appears to be a big house on top of a remote hill.
Perhaps the ground conditions were different then. If I am not mistaken there are several secondary roads closed in that area due to high water. The ground is also saturated now making travel difficult.
My heart goes out to the family of this young girl. I do not think that LE would be bringing the Harrington's to the site unless they had very good reason to believe that the body is that of their daughter.
I believe you are referencing the VCU student who disappeared and whose body was found in Essex Co, VA.
On one of the news reports, the reporter said that is the owners house.
I thought the one they were identifying as the owner's house was not far off Route 29? The one I mean probably isn't visible from the road.
