One of the videos (channel 29's wrapup of the day they found her -- I can't find it on line this morning) had a reporter saying Mr. Bass saw the remains in a place where he often sees dead deer. I thought it was kind of odd that deer would die in that place more often than another, but if it was a place where deer carcasses wash up, that would make sense.

And I would guess that after heavy rain that melted what was reported to be around two feet of snow, the runoff was quite high.

I have 3 theories, please bear with me. Just need to get it off my chest:

The fact that the police told the Harringtons she died quickly makes me think of gunshot as the cause of death.

Maybe it was a deer path that we saw in one of the aerial shots. Perhaps someone who owns one of the houses in that nearby development got tired of the deer eating his rhododendrons... or someone who works on landscaping. Maybe he went out at night and occasionally shot them as he knew where to look for them. Perhaps even by spotlighting. He accidentally shot a human being who was running for her life from someone through the hay to the trees. He either didn’t realize it, or realized it and did not come forward. (Real stretch I realize.)

or:

There was an awful episode of Criminal Minds wherein 2 psychopatic brothers kidnapped disabled motorists or came upon hikers in the woods and made them run for their lives as they hunted them down. (Another real stretch.)

or:

She escaped from an assailant’s car, ran for her life and was shot. (Maybe not such a stretch).

I hope her parents get some answers soon.

Did Morgan's car leave Harrisonburg travel to JPJ ...friends have keys ..wait in Morgan's car and the friends return in Morgan's car to Harrisonburg where it was picked up by the parents..??
Has that been established as fact?

After examining photos of the immediate area, and then taking a second (and then a third ) look at google maps that show where the creeks run and the terrain, it's becoming more and more apparent to me that the killer did indeed use an ATV of some sort to transport the body to this location. An ATV probably equipped with a mounted rear rack, used by hunters to transport game, which also explains the comment made by Mr. Bass of deer carcasses in the area. It's an area familiar to hunters.

Assuming that ATVs do not have the capability to traverse creekbeds, I reckon the most likely avenue the perp used is via Chopin Drive, and into the ATV path that hugs the bank of the creek, as I have highlighted in the following map:

Why do I think this route is an ATV/hunter path? By examining Google earth, and the "Timeline" feature that allows you look at satellite imagery going back to the 1990s, there is a distinct "track" that runs from the Blandemar Farm Pond, hugging the line of trees and the creeks, down through where Morgan was found. Unfortunately, I don't know how to link Google Earth maps, but if you have google earth, you can examine the topography of the area going back to April of 1994.

The perpetuator is indeed a local. I think it highly unlikely they utilized their POV to get to this location. If I were law enforcement, I would be looking at that "access point" at Chopin Drive @ Blandemar Pond... taking a close look at locals who own all-terrain vehicles, or have easy access to one.

The information I am looking for was the interview where Mr.M spoke about the condition of the car...position of seat etc..

Nostone... I can't find anything either but a mention on one of the previous threads regarding Morgan.

I remember somewhere it was said by Dr. H that Morgan's car had been washed and cleaned several times since Morgan had been missing and that Alex had been driving Morgan's car.

I also believe it was said that Dr. H said the car had been gone over by LE, but had not been forensically(sp) gone over.

OT:
Does anyone know if the police have a perp or POI in the recent death of Cassandra Morton of Lynchburg, Va.
Also, if anybody knows what was determined to be the COD for Kristan Charlene Fox, found dying near the dumpsters at the Zion Crossroads McDonalds on New Years Eve.
These locations are so close to Charlottesville, plus with Kelly Catalano of Chesterfield still missing. Either there are a few active perps around or one SK.
