For those interested, statement on the FB for the Blacksburg Police Department regarding the resource officer accused of not responding to the classmate who reported that NL was involved with an older guy. I'm not sure about linking FB posts but check it out if interested. I'm happy about one of the comments there but I won't go into detail haha

How can NK go in to do much detail & still claim "not guilty"???

They drove down Craig Creek Road, where she helped DE load the body into the back of his Lexus. Then, the drove to Walmart...and kept driving to NC.

Am I reading this correctly? This would imply that NL's body was left for a period of time on or around Craig Creek Road after DE or DE & NK murdered her - then they came back to the body to load it into his car and drive to NC. This would also mean that NL's deceased body was in the Lexus while they shopped at Walmart.

My guess would be that the OP was amused that the reporter, whose bona fides AND sources might be questionable, has a name similar to "ORLY"...which is common digital messaging shorthand for the skeptical phrase, "Oh, REALLY?" I wouldn't fault anyone for being unfamiliar with and/or surprised by the given names and/or nicknames which, by happenstance, might not be on their personal radar.
 
VA courts do allow cameras!!! This particular part of the prosecution is being held in juvenile court, thus no cameras. It will be up to the judge later whether cameras are allowed or not.

Jens Soering, and Elizabeth Hassom were UVA college students. Very intelligent. Both in prison for killing her parents. It was one of the first trials on TV, and that was here in VA.

Very true. Another member stated that Virginia differentiates between capital murder (death penalty) and first degree murder (life). I believe that he has only been charged with first degree murder so far.

(Sarcasm alert) I actually think the counselor did a kickin' job. She ended up loving herself so much she appears to be the only one she loved and valued.

(and now I'm backing off again... it never ends well for me when I start the sarcasm stuff :jail: )

This article says police found NK at her boyfriend's house and found Nicole's blanket there along with some cleaning supplies. Earlier today I read that the police went to her dorm room where they found her and she told them that there was a suitcase in her room that contained Nicole's blanket and some cleaning supplies. Not sure which version is accurate. Wonder what her roommate thought of all of this? and who is her boyfriend? Seems like she spent a lot of time with DE, especially the last few weeks as they planned out the crime, including purchasing supplies, and scouting out a location to kill Nicole and a location to dump her body.
