This was before the autopsy results....which means perhaps they are covering all their bases. Perhaps clues thus far were inconclusive, and they needed autopsy results to know more and in the meantime they wanted the public's help. The fact that the results are known now and they are having a burial means it's conclusive post-autopsy. Which tells me there were no signs of trauma to the body to indicate homicide...but there are so many unanswered questions with this case. I think normally LE gives more information to the public, which makes this even more mysterious. Very anxious to hear more information.

The statement made by the sheriff's department was made on Friday, but the article came out today, which led me to think they are still wanting tips from those who may have them. It will help so much when and if more info is released.

Whatever age it is would have to come from Pulaski County specifically.

If it wasn't specific to that county it would fall under the state. I can't find one for that county, though. I think they changed the code, because of all the latch key kids, and we're just under the assumption it's 12 and under. :)

If this isn't an accident, I'm sure whoever is responsible is a lot more curious about the "hard and creditable tip" than we are

@CameronOAustin is there a press conference scheduled?

@Melendez_89 Not currently. Just a press release with information. No conference.

No press conference scheduled yet.

I feel strongly they're waiting on toxicology reports before they go forward with charges.[modsnip]

glad we got a time for today's info!

it's unclear, does this mean they'll also be announcing an upcoming press conference??

Have no idea. Again strange wording imo.

This is really unfortunate for the local community, I can't imagine what they are thinking and going through losing that beloved lil boy and wondering how it happened. Are their children safe. So many questions.

If that was the suspicion, why are the parents not being held or at least some sort of agreement they can't leave the state or whatever? I guess that's the part I don't understand.

They are certainly being watched and with LE members around the clock.

Was there ever more than one news source that mentioned Pokemon cards? I'm starting to feel like pokemon cards are one of those phantom things that is written about, but never holds any real significance or is brought up again.

I wonder if she asked him if the septic tank lid was usually buried under the grass?

I ask her a couple questions

I wonder if she asked him if the septic tank lid was usually buried under the grass?

I ask her these questions

Did you ask him about the lid
Was it underground
Or on top of ground
Were there septic problems recently

I linked to the file from the state in a previous post. There is no minimum age for a child to be "home alone" in Virginia.

http://www.dss.virginia.gov/files/division/dfs/cps/intro_page/publications/general/alone.pdf

I realize that and you've already stated it. There's been cases of child neglect from kids being left alone and wandering outside, also if they're left alone in vehicles. As I said the kids were very young. Here's some and I'm assuming it's a case by case basis with the circumstances.

Fairfax County

Age Guidelines ...
7 years and under: Should not be left alone for any period of time. This may include leaving children unattended in cars, playgrounds, and backyards. The determining consideration would be the dangers in the environment and the ability of the caretaker to intervene.
8 to 10 years:Should not be left alone for more than 1½ hours and only during daylight and early evening hours.
11 to 12 years:May be left alone for up to 3 hours but not late at night or in circumstances requiring inappropriate responsibility.
13 to 15 years:May be left unsupervised, but not overnight.
16 to 17 years:May be left unsupervised (in some cases, for up to two consecutive overnight periods).

I haven't found others yet, still looking.

Q: What is the age at which a child may be safely left alone without adult supervision?
A: Age alone is not a very good indicator of a child's maturity level. Some very mature 10-year-olds may be ready for self care while some 15-year-olds may not be ready due to emotional problems or behavioral difficulties.

They are certainly being watched and with LE members around the clock.

I've wondered about that. I remember reading in a news article, before Noah's body was found, that they were confined to the home. I wondered if that meant they were to distraught to leave or if they were under law enforcement supervision.

Ok take a look at the pic (in link above)

Look
By the steps see the white sticking up

Looks to me like a vent pipe for a septic tank and appears to be in the location of where the blue tarps were set up in other pics

Are my eyes deceiving me?

We need to be careful to not bring FB rumors into the thread.

@KSuri: @SweetSue517 he didn't want to discuss any details. Said everything about case needs to come from Sheriff. So we wait. But lid WAS on.

The lid was on, but was it secured with screws or bolts? That's what I'm wondering. Not being derogatory at all.
