This makes me angry! Why have kids if they are such a burden?? You can't leave little ones alone for a minute, let alone while you drive your husband to work!!! :gaah:

Even worse, Noah was likely already in the septic tank at this point. And they removed the baby first thing, so it must have been obvious she didn't just have a bad cold (someone pointed out to me that medical neglect was not included in their charges). Im thinking the "respiratory illness" is linked to respiratory depression caused by opiates/heroin. I think Noah was dead and in the tank, and baby was knocked out and still obviously under the influence with depressed respirations when LE arrived, leading to her removal from the home.

Roanoke Times Article written after PT's bond hearing. Some new bits of info. prescription drugs and marijuana found in the home during the search. And Ashley's hearing is at 1:00 today according to the article.

The couple had also told investigators that they had taken a direct route to Paul's work that day at the Pheonix Packaging plant, but Fleenor said video surveillance shows them at a convenience store that morning where they stopped and bought some items.

According to Fleenor, the opening to the septic tank is “20 feet out the back door of the parent’s property” with only one opening that is covered by a lid.

“Mr. Thomas wants nothing more than to get out and go back to work and attempt to get his life back to normal until this issue is resolved,” Honeycutt said.

Not gonna happen Mr. Thomas, not gonna happen. :gaah: Get your life back to normal? :pullhair:

My grandma would have pinched the back of my arm so hard if I would have dared to walk on top of a grave...I can only imagine if I had plopped down on one to play... Jeez...

Not only would my mother scold us if we dared to walk across a grave but once my brother and I took flowers off a grave and brought them home to give to my mother. She made us take them back, in the dark! and put them back. That was a "forever" lesson. LOL

My brother's used to do that on report card day (our bus stop was next to a cemetery). Mom was not pleased when she finally found out.

How normal can things be when his son is dead, his daughter is with CPS and his brother and gf currently call jail home right along with him?

I had not known this previously;
"During Paul Thomas’ hearing on Wednesday, Pulaski County Commonwealth's Attorney Mike Fleenor said that Ashley White and Paul Thomas had eventually admitted in interviews that they left the children at home that morning."

According to Fleenor, both were “interviewed on numerous occasions” and on March 23, admitted that they “left both children at home and Ms. White drove the co-defendant to work.”

That translates to "get home and do some drugs"

Ugh - "normal" and "until this issue can be resolved" are being thrown around as if this is some kind of simple misunderstanding.

Certainly, the judge isn't misunderstanding him. - “Mr. Thomas has been deceptive. I cannot take his assertions at face value.” -

Exactly. It's not like he just didn't have proof of insurance or his drivers license on him or in the car or something. Resolve what??

How can this be referred to as an issue? Their five year old son is dead. How do you resolve that? And get back to a normal life?

So they admitted to leaving them home the day after Noah went missing? I guess that helps explain why Baby A was taken that particular day but why did the Sheriff keep repeating the original lie and defending them?

"Arrests warrants also stated Ashley White showed "reckless disregard for human life," and "caused serious injuries." In the report it also stated "Incident ultimately led to Noah's death," and "Cause or permit to life or health of child by a willful act, omission, or refusal to provide necessary care."

BBM

That part really bothers me. If leaving the two children alone ultimately led to Noah's death, both Paul and Ashley would have been charged. That makes me think something else happened that only she was responsible for. Am I wrong on this?

That's how I read it to.
I wonder if Noah had an accident when AW and PT were out, then AW returned home, found Noah and didn't get him medical attention.

Not sure if same one I thinking about, there was one where lady showed deposit slip or something to that bank that was taking up donations.
But to whom/what cause are the donations going?

About the liquid level in the tank - iirc the depth is 36 inches minimum with an average depth of 48 to 60 inches. Noah was 41 inches tall.
I'm really skeptical about these reports that he was 3'5. Per this calculator (http://pediatrics.about.com/cs/usefultools/l/bl_kids_centils.htm), 3'5 and 60 lbs would put him in the 3rd percentile for height but 97th percentile for weight. Noah doesn't look thin in the photos, but he also doesn't look obese. But if he was 4'0, as reported repeatedly by WUSA (http://www.wusa9.com/story/news/loc...ssing-from-dublin-pulaski-county-va/70424496/) he'd be in the 94th percentile for height, which would be more in line with the proportions we see in the photos.

It doesn't really matter for our discussion. I doubt it changes anything for our purposes if his height was reported incorrectly. But if his parents originally told the police 3'5, and he's really 4'0, it's telling that they didn't bother to report his height info accurately.

I think you're right. My 4.5 year old is also big for his age and looks to be about Noah's size. He is 4'0 and 59 lbs v

I would rather think it's something like that. And then there's the question of how he ended up where he did. Poor little Noah. So sad.

I wondered if Paul's charges are specific to leaving the kids home alone that morning and Ashley's are more severe because of actions she took later.
