I've followed this case when it broke....now and then msm has an update.
So what if Yeardley had a relationship with someone else ? Maybe she was trying to escape Huguely ? Even if they had been married, you still don't have the right to bash someones' head against the wall.
This perp is certainly no innocent, as he's proved by past actions.
imo.
My condolences to Yeardleys' family ; and am hoping for justice for this young lady !

I hope this doesn't come across the wrong way ,but I really wish cameras were allowed during this trial. It's one I've been "looking forward to" (as sick as that sounds) ever since this happened. I can't wait to see justice served for Yeardley.

I guess the laws in some areas prohibit cameras in the courtrooms, but I really feel like this would have been an important trial to air. The Dalia Dippolito murder-for-hire trial, which TruTv shows daily, may be entertaining to some people, but I feel much more could be learned from the Hughuely trial. Oh well, nothing we can do about that. I'm just so glad reporters are still allowed in so we can hear what's happening.

I wonder if there are any seats available to the public or if the courtroom is restricted to only family/friends and reporters?

...grabbing a seat will prove to be the biggest challenge, the courtroom seats about 130 people, and only 80 of those seats will be made available to the general public. The seats will be distributed by lottery or on a first-come-first-serve basis.

I actually heard reports somewhere that the families have people coming "in shifts" to fill their side of the courtroom. but i don't remember where i heard that, so jmo. I also believe that the media is all in another room, so that they can tweet from the trial.

very important that the testimony that is now being presented to the jury is made known, the prosecution is asking the witness how big was the defendant at the time of the murder, as his appearance is changed drastically from then to now, he has lost a huge amount of the bulk from his arrest to today, he was really built pre the arrest and the jury need to be aware of this,

really good place to see updates and information from the trial, mrsu it is not being televised anywhere

another snippet from the trial - they are now showing the jury photos of the defendant from his arrest the day after the murder and his hands had what appeared to be cuts and bruises on them and his knuckles were red and bruised, the defence will say it was from either sports or when he smashed the door in, the state will say it was when he beat the victim, the jury gets to decide, me I think it was when he savageley beat the victim

"Huguely said that while he was trying to talk to Love, she repeatedly banged her own head against a wall. "
snipped by me

Excuse me ??? Why would she bang her own head against a wall ?
George hasn't got the best lawyers if they're allowing him to use that as a reason for Yeardleys' injuries. Maybe in the long run, that's a good thing.
jmo as always...

state will now rest once all the admin is checked to make sure all evidence is correctly entered into case and all the i's dotted and t's crossed

then we shall see just what the defence expert medical witnesses are going to say about what they feel is cause of death

I have seen a trial where there was a similar defence, Orange Taylor the third was charged with murdering a college student Laura Dickinson, ME said she was suffocated, she had a slight underlying heart condition, so the defence was that this was cause of death, first jury had a juror who would never have convicted no matter what the evidence so mistrial, second jury all 12 did there job (not 11 like in first trial) and he was convicted

is a case that stayed with me not only for the unusual name of the defendant

chrisinbmore tweeted that the defense moved to strike all GH5's charges except the grand larceny. I've never understood this tactic.

Earlier today a pawn shop owner testified that Love's computer was worth between $250–$350. This would make it grand larceny under Virginia law and leaves Murder 1 on the table.

It will be interesting to see if this is how the defense plays it. They already telegraphed that strategy so the prosecution was prepared for it and presented medical witnesses to state that there was not enough alcohol or amphetamine (a "therapeutic level" from the prescription she was on) to contribute to Love's death.
