chafing sux.
The course cloth of bitter disappointment.
Perryville is being sued because of the violence by gang members. These girls are ruthless. They dont care about rules. Jodi would be a target. She wont be conning or manipulating them. She will wish she was dead. Prison officials already said she will be in max security.live the same life as death row inmates. Either way, her day will come.
She gets no cable or internet --just a TV, when she gets to cockroach heaven.
Oh I get it now...I just watched the verdict again...she was actually crying from relief or so it seems.

I've been wondering what that means. :waitasec:
Jodi donated hair? Did she go down to the hospital and get tested to see if she can donate a kidney to her father? Thats what a reporter should have asked her.
Thanks for giving me an opening to ask this:
Today I met someone who really, totally believes in the Law of Attraction. He's very, very nice, educated and rational. The subject came up because i've been pretty down on myself lately and he's a personal fitness trainer I've employed. He was enthusiastic without being pushy or fanatical. He asked me to watch the movie, "The Secret" on You Tube before we meet again. I told him I'd heard about "The Laws of Attraction" during the Jodi Arias trial and of course he knew nothing of it. Said he doesn't watch the news, etc. because it doesn't help him attain his goals in life. In some ways, he reminded me of Travis, actually.
Have any of you investigated this school of thought, "The Laws of Attraction?" Do any of you believe? Any anecdotal results to share? Conflicts with other religious belief systems?
I'm fascinated with the concept of Thinking Myself Happy. That would equate success for me. Very interested with anyone's experience. TIA
I think it was her holding up that da*n survivor t-shirt that sealed the deal and had them thinking she was a certified nut case!
I am disappointed that the jurors couldn't agree, but would be more disappointed had the 8 been swayed from the DP just to finish the job. The four holdouts - crap on you for saying you could when you couldn't.
So, cheers for the 8! I don't think we will see another jury. It just doesn't seem logical if its true that if JM took the DP off the table, the Judge would then decide. Why go through another trial and all that expense for another maybe? I'm not hoping for that, as I voted to hang her. Just thinking from a logical standpoint. If ckja has to agree to a plea, she won't ImO unless its LWP. She's a gambler, and a murderer.
Thank you for posting this link. It should be recommended viewing for all as it provides a reality check about life at Perryville Prison. During Arias's presentation to the Jury, I was concerned that whoever 'coached' Arias to say those things has misrepresented the reality of prison life to the Jury.Published on May 23, 2013
A brief video and reality check of the journey Jodi Arias is facing as the jury decides her fate ~ Whether she gets a death sentence or life without parole she is doomed for the draconic prison called Perryville where she will likely die as she becomes one of the walking dead in the Arizona desert.

Off topic // I had an opportunity to use the phrase that Travis coined tonight on FB and gave credit where credit was due. It wasn't much, but what a smile it put on my face to help Travis alexander touch another group of people in my life. / end off topic
The prison official I heard said she got basic cable. Infuriated me.
i know this is not going to be popular, but it's my opinion and i'm ok with it.
I keep hearing about the four holdouts. In actuality, there were no holdouts. The jurors were given a task to do and 3 possible choices to mark on the card. They all put in their time, came to their conclusions, 8 for death, 4 for a life sentence. Juror instructions does not say you have to give into the majority, in fact, it says quite the opposite, not to be bullied into changing your mind if you truly believe you are making the right descision. All 12 made their "right decision" as based on how they viewd the mitigating factors in comparison to the aggravating facors of the case.
They are told they can each accept or deny any of the testimony they have heard. It is something they and only they can choose to believe or disbelieve. There civic duty was to use their life experiences, their common sense, and their sense of what was true and what was not. They are told not to let emotions play a part in their decisions. Their job was to vote life or death. All 12 did so, there were no holdouts, they all voted, they all debated and in the end, they didn't all agree. Simple as that!
I respect the jury for taking on this tough task, and just because they didn't all see things as i did, and all 12 vote for death, i do not hold that against them. To call the four holdouts imho is just wrong. It could just as easily be said that there were 8 holdouts who wouldn't vote for life in prison. Cmja is where she needs to be right now, and her next move is to perryville whether she likes it or not. And we can thank all 12 jurors for that.
As i said in a previous post, i will bet dimes to donuts that the alexander family is not bashing the jurors tonight. Disappointed sure, but i can bet they aren't calling them idiots and some of the other lame terms i've seen used here tonight. They are too classy and have too much respect for our legal system to bash 12 people for doing their civic duty for 5 months.
Aim your hatred if necessary where it belongs, on cmja, not these 12, or 4 of the 12 that did their civic job as they saw fit.

When the civil suit was first discussed, one of the lawyers (AZlawyer, iirc) explained that the statute of limitations on the civil suit (2 yrs) has long since run. I asked a trial lawyer I know, too, and he agreed. I also did a little research myself and discovered the some states have passed legislation tolling the SOL in homicide cases, but I don't think AZ is among them.
