She really wanted Nurmi to stay on her case "whether he was first chair, second chair, or tenth chair". It took her a long time to trust him and they have developed a working atty/client relationship.... "He knows the defense strategy and how it needs to be implemented at trial."

Well yeah, Nurmi helped craft the pedo allegations, brought in ALV and RS and came up with the current theory (or should I say former theory since they moved onto "snapped" instead of self defense?).

Also she seemed to lee onto Willmott really well when she joined the team.

Perhaps this is an unfair question but does anyone else wonder if KN put her up to that to stay on the case at private attorney fees? How good of an attorney was he if he had no other cases in the public defenders office at the time? How many has he taken on as a private attorney?

Beth K. commented that the jurors looked serious, almost to the point of frustration. I hope the 'tiger/bear' person is not on the jury - they could end up being hung.

That was Jean C not Beth.

Thank YOU! I read the letter from her, but could not find the letter from her mother. Would you put a link to that one?

At the bottom of the document, I believe the bottom right, there is a "next" link, that takes you to Sandi Arias' letter. (hope that makes sense)

OH NO!!!!! Men in there 60's and 70's are the jurors!!!! BAD NEWS!!! My Dad is 64 and my granddad is 84. They have both watched the trial. Both lost interest in the "experts" testimony. Both said they couldn't put that lil girl to death. Both think Juan is disrespectful. Both say she wouldn't have done all that if she didn't have a reason to!

Im terrfied the jury consultants did there job just like in the OJ trial!

Respectfully your dad and grandfather are not representative of all men in their 60's, 70's and 80's.

I don't really feel comfortable projecting anyone's [so and so] relative onto a certain juror simply because of an age or gender demographic. It doesn't really work IMO.

Somehow, missmazzy, that sounds like the best reason so far! Yeah, let it happen well before the sun goes down, and then they can go to lunch & really & truly relax for the first time since early January!

However --

If it's murder one,
they aren't done.

But lunch will be a good respite from the jury room.

And Tuesday, May 7, 2013, will be a good day for Travis and his family.

Let us hope and think positive thoughts.

Respectfully BBM.

That's true, but I can't imagine that this jury will consider that when they pass judgement here given the length of time they've already had to invest in this trial (not to mention all the BS they've had to listen to). None of them have complained about the impact this is having on their personal lives (unlike another jury where cruises were more important than their civil obligation).

This jury has sat there listening and asking the most wonderful questions for four months, not six weeks! I'm sure they want it done, but they will take the time they need to be comfortable with what their decision is, both in the guilt phase and the sentencing phase.

I predict it's going to be murder one. And I think these jurors are willing to go the extra mile to see that through. I agree with Marcia Clarke, they're just trying to make sure they take enough time to satisfy both their minds, and the expectations of the public (paraphrasing here). MOO.

I wasn't indicating that executions were public but up thread some posters were discussing that some executions, especially ones where the crime that was committed was especially heinous, should be public.

Sorry. I completely misinterpreted your post. I usually click the blue arrow to track the post back to it's origin but was too tired.

:blushing:

Agreed. She is a grown *advertiser censored** woman. And was so when she met, manipulated, and slaughtered Travis. NO LIL GIRL here!

I agree, she wasn't a young girl who had no experience in relationships etc,we all know she is more than an expert in that area. She knew right from wrong, but could not handle that Travis did not want her so no one else could have him. :banghead:

My grampa is 85 and he'd have no trouble putting someone to death if they deserved it,as would I.

ITA, but have to say JM is still my favorite. Do you think it was my German Sheperd Lupo he saw in the picture? :floorlaugh:

My hub doesn't get it, his hallpass is Keira Knightley, mine is Juan. He just doesn't see what I see....:blushing:

Lol, JM hall pass! I'm picturing his :blushing: if he knew that!

Ha! My dad is also 64 and he has NO mercy. He lives the straight and narrow and does not believe in weakness. He would have said from day one "give her the needle....Now, what time is tee time?" Not a blink of an eye. He'd never give a look back to a person like her. Never would give her a second more of his time.

THANK YOU! I was panicked when I wrote that. I wasn't intentionally being negative, I think I was just needing a little reassurance and I'm sure this is the place to get it. This is so stressful!

I know the feeling!! We are all TERRIFIED of a Pinellas 12 repeat! We have Pinellas PTSD, but I'm trying to think positively. There is just so much more solid evidence in this case than CA or Scott Peterson and other cases I've seen. This SHOULD be a slam dunk but hopefully tomorrow or wednesday I hope we will have justice. Like Juan said, sympathy should not be a factor during deliberation. I hope the jurors remember that. S far they seem to have taken their jobs seriously so I hope they do right by TA and his loved ones.

I implore you all to relax....please...this could go on for days...
and once verdict is in we have a loooooong way to go from there....educate yourselves on the process --you're a websleuther! Most questions are easily answered with a simple Google or Bing.
Its not about which lawyer is cute, or what talking heads are saying--its about facts/evidence. We got this :great:
:grouphug:

Thanks for saying that...me... I'm chill.....

I could be way off base about the 10:00 am start time but I'll keep telling myself it's because the jurors need extra time to relax, calm down, dress in their Sunday best and tell the world that justice for Travis Victor Alexander has arrived :)

My feelings exactly.

On Dr. Drew, they're predicting we will have a verdict tomorrow. They think the jury wants to sleep on it.

I'm embarrassed to admit that I have a Twitter account but have no idea how to use it. Can someone tell me how to find KCL's tweets?

If no one has answered you yet: You go to search and type katiecoolady, her twitter name

Awwwwww Katie is so purdy, and a class act too!

I didn't know if anyone else had shared with everyone about the article etc but thought for those of you not in Phoenix you'd know what many residents came home from work today found on their driveway etc..

Just a lil bit of the mood in the Valley of the Sun! PS think a lot of people are feeling like hurry up decide on verdict & get the 'Circus' out of town already!

JMO

things that are frustrating me...
1. short verdicts/fast verdicts have NOT been good for the prosecution in my experience, so please stop saying this longer period of time is good for the defense! Just not true...
2. why oh why did no one, neither side ask D.Brewer what color Jodi's hair was when she came to his house on June 2 or 3?
3. Why did Juan keep saying MM would never betray Jodi, in a sarcastic way over and over again and not follow up on that?4. why wasn't the one roommate who was home on 6/4 not been questioned on the stand as to whether or not there was a car in the drive way at anytime he was in and out that day?
5. why doesn't the friend who TA showed the 5/26 email/IM exchanges ever said why TA was sending that, especially since he asked TA if he wasn't afraid she'd hurt him!!!!?????

These are the things that are really really bugging me

BBM

MM was a loser for the defense and prosecution. IIRC as Juan intimated he was willing to lie for JA on one hand, on the other from what I understand from Juan's testimony, he would have denied seeing the neck bruises according to his first police interview. What could he have added with a rep like that? Neither side would have wanted him. JMO.

Signing off for the night, I shall see you all back here tomorrow.

Praying for justice for Travis to come tomorrow.
