Obviously the jurors do not understand that I CANNOT concentrate at work. I need a verdict so I can do my job. I am a mess - dumped coffee all over me, tripped over air and fell on the floor and trying my best to focus on the task at hand at work.

BethKaras Jurors will take a lunch break from 3:00-4:00 pm ET/noon to 1:00 pm in Phoenix.

I feel a little better. Notice the jurors are only taking a 1 hour lunch and not the 1 1/2 hour lunch that the judge was giving them.

They mean business. I have to keep the faith. Its all we got.

OT: There is a God! My daughter was in a head on collision this am traveling at 70 mph on the interstate when a vehicle crossed the median. All persons involved were wearing seat belts (6 persons in the other vehicle and just my daughter in hers, as she was on her way home from the night shift as a nurse). So far she is ok, we will see what tomorrow holds. Rough morning here. Thanks

Just jumping in mid-thread here.
I'm wearing blue shirt, pants, and (shh) bra (just cuz I happened to have a blue one, not because I'm trying to be kinky or anything).

I'm feeling more confident about this one than I did with CA, although after that debacle, it's hard to feel confident about any verdict ever again. Despite Judge Perry's words that made me feel a little better, it was really too little much much too late.

Anyway, my thoughts are with Travis's family and friends today. Headed off in a few to teach my little munchkin preschoolers, and hope to come in on my break at ~2pm PST and find a 1st degree verdict!!

Let the elephants trumpet justice for Travis today!!!

May the defendant rot, dismissed, forgotten, alone, and forlorn, in a cell for the rest of her days.

Did anybody watch 48 Hours this past Saturday? There was a case about couple who got divorced. Wife started stalking ex and his fiance. She bought gas cans, turned off her cell phone and drove through the night to his house. Shot both ex and his fiance. The similarities were SO similar to JA, I actually gasped while watching

:seeya: I saw that and was hoping a few of Jodi's jurors saw it, too. The gas cans would have been a light bulb moment for them.

Four months buying lunch? I hope they at least allowed them access to a fridge and a microwave.
I only buy lunch when I’m at work probably once a month if THAT. When you are on a budget, that would bite.

But this is from HLN? I hope they are again, wrong.

Well, Jose Baez will always be the most "special" Hispanic Lawyer! I think of him as someone battling a lot of intellectual and emotional deficiencies. Just the fact that he uses the bathroom by himself is a win for him.

I would take issue regarding the reputation of Jose Baez. I think he is an opportunistic, self-promoting, cynical "lawyer". Furthermore JB is markedly intellectually dishonest. His appearance on the Dr Phil Show convinced me that he is really a low life attorney.
His closing presentation in the CA trial was full of bombast, obfuscation, and frank BS.
In terms of integrity and competence Jose Baez should never be mentioned in the same sentence as Juan Martinez. They are worlds apart.

The more I hear about Texas the more I think I made a mistake by retiring in Oregon. :banghead:

Ill be happy to swap with you any day ! Texas has 110 degrees 80 % humidity absolutely miserable and no mountains or ocean or beautiful pine trees ( except for a small swatch in East Texas called lost Pine)
