What's that mean 2 jurors left with a Marshall? Verdict maybe? God I hope, I'm physically sick....can't eat, can't sleep.that poor family.

Marellenabc15 Tweets "Juror's #2 and #9 just escorted out by security.. could be grabbing lunch. It appears juror's will work through lunch."

Smoke time maybe..?
That is what I'm thinking; or escort to their cars.

Must be a smoke break.

I'm doing my best to stay calm, cool and collected. Perhaps my time working as a litigator, and in the court system, has jaded me, but I've come to believe that there's no such thing as a case so well-proved, well-argued and clear-cut that a jury can't completely screw it up.

I've seen verdicts derailed by juries who didn't understand THE CAPTION of a case, who decided to fill out their verdict form from back to front, who disregarded all of their instructions on the law because they "went by too fast" (around here, they don't get a copy to take back with them), who began deliberations by discussing which attorney was "cuter" or "looked more honest," or decided that a discrimination victim didn't deserve any compensation even if he'd proven his case, because he "sounded cocky."

On the other hand, I've also seen juries who took a hard look at the evidence, properly applied every instruction they were given, and did a bang-up job as the finders of fact.
The problem is, you can't tell which kind of jury you have ahead of time.

I still have faith in our system, but if I was ever [wrongly] accused, you can bet I'd be insisting on a bench trial! :)

Thanks for your post. A jury is a dice roll for both sides, and especially these days, I think. Our society has taken a bad turn the last 40ish years. From the move away from critical thinking, (or any thinking at all), to making an excuse or rationalization for many types of bad/criminal/uncivil behavior-that's my jaded take on things. I know that while I once wanted to be on a jury because I am fascinated by the law, I want nothing to do with it now. Like you, I'd go for a bench trial if I was wrongly accused of anything.

I hope this is a good jury who doesn't think CSI and Law and Order are real. I hope they didn't buy any part that unethical and ridiculous defense. I hope, being in the same room with her, that they saw JA for what she is (the opposite of a victim).

Praying for justice. :twocents::twocents:

#jodiarias jury report: Jurors 2 & 9 just escorted out by security -- could be grabbing lunch...it appears jurors will work thru lunch.

I don't know about juror 2, but juror 9 is a smoker. I saw him smoking on break the day I was there... that's my guess. They ate their lunch and want a smoke break.

No big deal.

Breaking News: Jurors #2 and 9 are regular.

When I served jury duty they brought our lunch into the jury room. I tried to convince them that my doctor had me on a very strict filet mignon and lobster diet.
I sure hope that the Dessert Lady is nowhere to be seen ... all of that sugar might work to convert the Mesa 12 into the Pinellas 12.

I'm not too surprised the jury are still in deliberations. This was a long trial, IMO.

Does anyone else have Comcast and get these annoying "Comcast Newsmakers" info-shows twice an hour?
It only happens on HLN and each segment is at least 5 minutes. Normally I would be grateful for anything that interupts HLN but this programming is really lame and very disruptive. Not a fan.

5. JA tweets
6. RS and the 'card' saga
7. ALV and the potential perjury

And I'm still sure there's more

All the emails and IM's between Travis and ja......proof he never spoke to her ugly UNTIL whatever she did that promoted that email.

#jodiarias jury report: 12:50 Jurors 2 & 9 return to jury room with soda in hand. Both appear pretty somber.

They were really friends with benefits, and I use the term "friends" loosely given what we've come to know about Jodi.

I agree. In her jail house interview she was asked a few times why they broke up. Her answer each time was breach of trust. When pressed she falls back on breach of trust. That had to mean her blackmailing him with the sex tape. A bit of truth?

#JodiArias jurors have returned to the deliberation room... with bottles of Coke & Diet Coke. :) #thirsty

There is a plus to all of this waiting...Jodi is waiting too. I hope she struggles through each second that she is sweating out the verdict in her holding cell. (She is probably still sure no jury will convict her though.)

I think you're right about her still believing no jury will convict her. She's uber-confident and I imagine the longer deliberations go on, the happier she is. I just read Nurmi's motion requesting the state to consider second degree / manslaughter and it is rife with overconfidence.

I have a nagging feeling, even if she is found guilty 1st degree, she won't be phased because she'll be confident it'll be overturned on appeal. I don't expect to see much reaction from her if the jury comes back G1.

Jodi called NG " N. DisGrace " in her last tweet.
JA thinks this is all a game evidently. Seems not to have a worry in the world!
Juan is going to look a lot taller to her when she is 6 foot under!!!

Folks, we're having some server issues today. We were hoping to move to two servers by 'verdict time' but it doesn't look like we're going to make it, but I promise, it's coming soon. Please bear with us.

It's my understanding that it is the weight of the hits that take us down. Another reason is the moving around, page to page and refreshing. It puts a lot of weight on the site.

Members can help if they will refrain from a lot of refreshing of the page. Another way you can help is to set your 'View Per Page' to at least 50.

Instructions are as follows:

Top of the page in the blue bar, click on

> User CP
> Edit Options

Scroll down to Thread Display Options

> Number of Posts to Show Per Page
> Show 50

Scroll all the way down to

> Save Changes

Making the above changes will help considerably. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope we don't have any problems, but in the event, we do, please know we're on it and we're working at keeping the site up.

Our IT Tech, is our super hero and has already come to our aid at least once today.

Sorry, I had to lock the thread for a minute, but I needed your attention.

Thanks everyone and let's hope for swift justice in this case!

PLEASE REVIEW THE ABOVE POST from SoSueMe.

Also, PLEASE REFRAIN FROM POSTING OFF TOPIC GRAPHICS, PICTURES, ETC.. on this busy thread. That helps tremendously with loading issues as well.

Is there any way to stay signed on WS?

I get up to stretch, get a drink, rub my callused mouse finger, come back and I'm signed off.

I feel like they're taking them out in small groups for things like soda, smoke, etc. and then bringing them back.
