Question please....

Where are the alternates and when did they learn they were alternates?

Thank you

The three alternates were pulled from a hat just before the jury started deliberations. They are in the courthouse, but not with the jury. They stay on stand-by within the courthouse in case of emergency until a verdict is reached.

I am not a lawyer or play one on tv, just my recollection of what happened and what was said.

*holds door open for her lovely WS friends*

*passes out notice*

WSers - don't waste your energy on people trying to get a rise out of you. It's not worth it. Put them on ignore by doing this.

1. Click here http://www.websleuths.com/forums/profile.php?do=ignorelist
2. Type in their name
3. Enjoy the peace
4. Avoid the risk of a TO

Thank you for the reminder. ...that's exactly what I just did. I almost forgot how much I love & need to take care of me. Thank you. :beats:

What do we know that the jury don't?

1. Interrogation tapes (majority of content)
2. JA's parents tapes
3. JA kicking/killing doggy boy
4. Chris Hughes stories
5. ?

I'm sure there's much more

5. Dr. Samuels sent her 8(?) greeting cards.

ITA. I said this awhile back, that if it isn't murder one, nothing save a real-time video of the murder would satisfy them. In the age of reality tv, people expect beyond ALL doubt.

From last thread, Angelina Frost posted:
JM gave them a veritable bread crumb path to premeditation. For them to be out, makes me believe that someone just doesn't have the capacity to understand it. If this comes back less, I move for a professional jury system.

Worrisome that others will see that you can murder who you want and essentially get away with it, or do comparatively little time w/ respect to your offense.

I absolutely agree! Bring on the professional jurors!

BBM: I totally agree ... someone is NOT "getting it" ...

I just cannot believe that they have been out for 10 HOURS NOW ... the jury saw PHOTOS of the CRIME happening !

They have a CONFESSION !

What more do they want !

:banghead::banghead::banghead:

Sorry for the rant ... this is just unbelievable, IMO !

:moo:

People have been discussing the issue of how the family of the perpetrator should behave. I don't want to judge, having never been in that position myself, but does anymore remember the case of MArk and Lori(?) Hacking in Salt Lake City? He killed her while she was sleeping and then dumped her in the trash. There was no trial in that case because his family convinced him that he needed to confess! You don't see that very often. Oh, and they were Mormons, too, which is sort of a weird but meaningless coincidence.

Ugh! :scared:

I just don't understand what's taking them soooooo long.

This seems to be such a cut and dry, M1 proven case.

Come on jury! Do what you need to do and move this along!

PLEASE!
The thing that makes me feel better is when someone said this jury has been listening to months and months of testimony, tapes, expert witnesses, evidence etc. They haven't been allowed to talk to another living soul about anything. They probably need to decompress, discuss, share notes, voice concerns etc. A very tough job they have.
I'd rather they take longer than have them done after a few hours and come back not guilty or hung (ahem FCA)
Have faith. It will be okay :)
MOO

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy sIII (so please excuse the typos!)

6. fake pedo letters
7. plea agreement with threat to trash Travis

I'm trying to remember that this jury probably has very little idea about how many people out here are waiting for this verdict. Right now a woman's life is in their hands, and they are likely taking all the time they need to work through the mountain of evidence and read through the jury instructions carefully.

That said -- hoping for a verdict EOD today!

I knew it was not correct. We would know. WAT or HLN would be all over that.

and probably on HLN with JVM chasing the person down....

:floorlaugh:

heard food containers brought in for jurors - looks like they are working through lunch - probably filling out all those forms - M1 DP!!!

Ordering lunch in= We are making excellent progress and we don't want to lose momentum so close to a desicion.

Lunch out= I am tired of you people who don't agree with me and I want to get away even for an hour.

Were Travis and jodi exclusive when she was baptized?

They weren't even a "couple" then. They only were "official" for 5 months in a "long distance relationship", I think Feb 2007-June 2007 and that's only if you can "believe" JA.

I was thinking that too.

I don't think jurors are allowed out and about the courthouse w/ no bailiff present. There were no male bailiffs sworn in so who would escort a male to the bathroom? Plus, even escorted, what's to stop spectator #1 from talking across the stall to spectator #2. Does the bailiff walk in and announce "juror in the stall, all remain quiet."

When I was a juror we had a bathroom inside the juror room, so we didn't have to leave. At the end of the day we left normally but then we weren't on a high profile case.

Good to hear the court brought them lunch today. I was honestly kind of shocked that they went out for lunch yesterday, because when I served on a jury when we got to the deliberation stage we were not allowed to leave the courthouse and had meals brought to us, but maybe that's just my state's policy.

I would think they wouldn't want them to leave the building though, at this point, too much of a chance to run into supporters or family (from either side).

Just a lil' lunchtime entertainment for the jury:
