I would like to see perjury charges for ALV.

No doubt. It needs to happen, though I'm sure it never will. It's unbelievable she was able to lie in a murder trial without being held accountable. I feel bad for those whose lives she has ruined.

Bailiff brought up a bag of food, went into back room. Appears jury is working through lunch perhaps #justicefortravis

<modsnip>

I am bothered by the number of men on the case too.

Sex still sells. Some guys think with the wrong head....IMHO

.....but then I also hope that these Men realize (the single ones) they could be the next TA out there with some Sicko girlfriend down the road

I do wish there were more women on the panel....IMHO

Either way (female or male juror) Travis did not deserve to die..even if he did yell at her for dropping the camera (which I do not believe it happened).

Also IMHO......JA lies..........so I as Juror would throw out her words and anyone associated with her.

MOO...always MOO

I have now resorted to actually doing work at work instead of staring at the jury clock lol...It's horrible!

The thing that makes me feel better is when someone said this jury has been listening to months and months of testimony, tapes, expert witnesses, evidence etc. They haven't been allowed to talk to another living soul about anything. They probably need to decompress, discuss, share notes, voice concerns etc. A very tough job they have.
I'd rather they take longer than have them done after a few hours and come back not guilty or hung (ahem FCA)
Have faith. It will be okay :)
MOO

Sent from my Samsung Galaxy sIII (so please excuse the typos!)
I thought the very same thing. They are probably happy to have the opportunity to go through ALL the information, together, that they have proving she IS guilty.

And here I thought we were finally going to get the word on interdimensionality and the coexistence of space time continua within an as yet described intraplanar quantum anomaly. Oh well, guess we'll have to settle for bad Elvis drawings.

No, that's not in her settlement memorandum, that is in her Yoda Arias manifesto...

IMO, this is how a jury should deliberate. They're taking their time and trying to get it right. The KC case had sequestered their jury and they just wanted to get the hades out of there. I think not sequestering this jury has made a very positive effect. JMO

One more thing. You have to remember they can only deliberate on what they know, not what we know.

Oh hello! :seeya: I haven't seen you in a few days.

I think I speak for everyone who has missed you when I say, "we've missed you!"

Looks like the jurors are working thru lunch today, their food was just brought in. #JodiArias

Working through lunch sounds like a good sign to me! :chicken::cupcake::coffeews::panic::cheer::cake4u::Banane13::cup::cheesehead::sundae::martini::gum:

Not a very balanced meal but I tried! Give them what they want!!!

My understanding is that if ALL 12 jurors stay together in the Jury room they can eat and continue deliberating. Anyone else hear that?

I'm trying to remember that this jury probably has very little idea about how many people out here are waiting for this verdict. Right now a woman's life is in their hands, and they are likely taking all the time they need to work through the mountain of evidence and read through the jury instructions carefully.

That said -- hoping for a verdict EOD today!

Could be possible that all the people out there waiting are making them be even more careful with their decision...

I think Wild wanted his burger and got sick of waiting for it.... He convinced himself they took lunch so he knooted his way over to the burger place and is eating....

The jury is still deliberating per every other report...

LOL! Exactly my thoughts too!

I am NOT for sequestered juries.
But ... In high profile cases like this juries need some basic security around the courthouse.
It's crazy that media is tweeting/etc that they saw juror #whatever looks sad/glum/happy.

Yes, this is a public govt building ... And there are other people there conducting their business.
But this jury should be in a cordoned off part or floor of the courthouse - with no access by the media or anyone else.
These jurors should enter & leave the courthouse thru a side or back entrance and be escorted to their cars.
These jurors should have a bathroom and break room in their area.

The state of Arizona has spent MILLIONS of taxpayers dollars on JA's defense.
Money should be spent on ensuring this jury is safe & secure.
They should cough up the $ to have lunches and coffee breaks available to them in their private area. Access to a secure outside area for smokers or any juror who just wants to go outside to see the sun in the middle of this tension filled time.

Again ... I am NOT for sequestering juries.
But basic security for these jurors is essential.
All it would take is some joker to yell something wrong in the vicinity of a juror to possibly cause a mistrial. God forbid!

IMHO, that is a good sign, they are working hard. Want to get a result.

Do not go out for a lunch break...

When I served jury duty they brought our lunch into the jury room. I tried to convince them that my doctor had me on a very strict filet mignon and lobster diet.

5. JA tweets
6. RS and the 'card' saga
7. ALV and the potential perjury

And I'm still sure there's more

You got one I posted after yours and two I missed.

I don't think 9 plus hours of deliberation is indicative of a hold out. Rather, I think the jurors are going over a mountain of evidence and when they are finished they will have a verdict and begin the final steps toward fulfilling their duty/obligation.

Something else that's crossed my mind is precisely because the jurors hold Jodi Arias's life in their hands ... A life that was given to her by a mother who has been in court every day ... I think they are showing reverence for the sanctity of all life before reaching their verdict.
