OMG Elle - I had totally forgotten that hot topic from two years ago. Guess it was never resolved but I sure would love to know more...
Eta never mind. Fitness tracker. But was it found?

The sheets and pillowcases were dark brown.
IMO after sex and pics she washed the sheets, then moved them to the dryer.
After the murder she removed the socks she wore (did she wear some of Travis's? Did she wear more than one pair to lessen the chances of a footprint that could link her?) Was the medium t shirt hers?

Oh, now it makes sense to me why she was so concerned about cleaning up the bath/hallway floor. She didn't care about the blood on the floor as much as leaving behind her shoe/foot prints. Psst, Jodi... you missed a spot on the wall. :)

I remember that. And she told Detective Flores that she had knives in her car belonging to Darryl. I think she figured that by visiting all her ex-boyfriends, if she got seen in Arizona, she could say she was on an ex tour before moving on to Ryan, and somehow frame one of the ex-boyfriends for killing Travis. "Oh, Darryl was jealous that I moved on, be must have thought I was going to see Travis and killed him with the very knives we used to have in our home, but really, Travis is just an ex, I am dating Ryan now."

This is what she told DF:

Darryl, who was another guy I dated after Matt that we bought the house together, and kitchen supplies. Darryl paid for so
much when I was there, and he footed the bill at Costco, so I had umm…They said that they took knives out of my car. Umm…

07:38
DF: I don’t even know whose they are, you know.

07:40
JA: Oh, they’re Darryl’s a
nd…

07:41
DF: Okay.

07:40
JA: they’ve been in storage for years, just collecting dust.

07:44
DF: That’s good to know that they’re his.

07:46
JA: Yeah, and like they were all his, maybe one might have been mine, but like, I just…I think they were Darryl’s,

I think the real motive for JA murdering poor Travis is that she was tired of feeling obsessed and really did want to move on, but the only way she could see to do the was to kill her obsession.

She started thinking about it in 2007, with the journal entry about stopping loving him by cutting the current, make it dead in a second, lifeless).

She said she felt somewhat responsible for Travis' death, saying:

"The reason I feel is because if I had… if it weren’t for Ryan I would have folded and I would have just scrapped all my plans and spent all of my days there."

It is hard to tell because she is such a liar, but maybe she really is saying if it weren't for the possibility of moving on with Ryan, she would have scrapped the murder plan and visited Travis instead.

She also says: Listen, it’s not that I didn’t love Travis, and it’s not that I don’t still love him, but I really needed to move on…

She is justifying killing him. "I loved him, but I needed to move on." And she couldn't move on while obsessed.

Yes...once Travis escaped the shower and she chased him down and eventually slit his throat there was way too much blood to quickly clean up.

IMO, no tranquilizers, just based on the time constraints. I think his eyes show he is at that moment paralyzed with fear. That photo is just as haunting today as it was the first time I saw it.

Was that shower floor pic ever explained in either trial, because there's no way TA willingly put himself in that position? If any abusive language is being spewed, it's not coming from Travis.

Heather Connor, geevee. How right you are. Starting at around 1:14 in this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m4WJfUlSf0g

Digital camera door and memory card found inside the washer, disconnected from the camera.

Darn it! Wrong video! I corrected it.

Thanks janx! I couldn't remember which trial day it was but remembered quite a bit of discussion here about that and wondering who put it back together for Melendez since he said it was all together when he received it.

She wanted to destroy the camera and its evidence. That's why she threw it into the washing machine. She probably didn't know that deleted photos could be recovered, but she wasn't taking any chances with that camera.

Probably why she also opened its door and took out the memory card, all the better to bleach them with, my dear. ;)

I hope this is the killer's last weekend in Estrella. I hope she is sitting in her cell as we speak thinking about this too &getting ready to box up her stuff and moving out to Perryville. I hope she is shaking in her flip flops. Something about her that gets on my nerves. I attribute it to her arrogant attitude and/ demeanor. She is such a phony!

im on the last part of juan crossing her and we've got to this point. i seem to have forgotten so much about what she said.

sure i thought this before and its just came to me again re-watching this, but im pretty sure she must have cleaned herself up with travis's body in the shower...?

i mean no blood anywhere in the house but the bedroom/bathroom and a few specs on the washer/dryer. we've all seen how much blood there was and on the stand she alluded that her socks and clothes would have been soaked in the blood.

there are no other signs of her bloody footprints palm print etc except for in the bedroom/bathroom. from the crime scene photos of the sink its clear she didn't wash there.

so from my deductions she showered with his poor corpse.

tell me im not the only one thats came to this conclusion.

im pretty sure the shower would have been covered in blood as well when she left travis there but from memory there was only a small patch of blood under his body?

she really give me the creeps

If you are thinking of the same photo I am--the closeup that shows real fear for the first time among all the photos--where he looks to be seated in the shower, I think he could have put himself in that position. Maybe she held a weapon on him and ordered him to sit and he sat, thinking if he did as she said he could buy some time to try to reason with her. IDK...seems to me he would never have sat even if she ordered it unless he thought he could turn things around by appearing to cooperate with her. It's all I can come up with for why he sat because it is not because he was incapacitated then; he was able to get up and out of the shower soon after.

Aside from that pic being part of the sequence of events before he was killed, the only thing specific to that pic that I remember from the first trial was that there was a hearing outside the presence of the jury where both sides debated as to a reflection in TA's right eye from the camera's flash -- whether it looked like Jodi holding a knife, a bear or a dog. I still don't know what to make of his expression. I think he sees something, but what exactly? The very next picture taken/recovered is of the bathroom ceiling above the shower so did she accidentally click the shutter as she stabbed him? Not to open that can of worms again... lol

Does anyone recall if this jury has heard about the gun she bought, (the 9mm)? I know the first jury did.

Eta never mind. Fitness tracker. But was it found?

I still think the duct tape was use to tape the gun or knifes to her skin.

Agree, krkrjx. I see fear and surprise in that last face shot of Travis. I think she took the picture with a flash to blind him, and it unfortunately worked. I think right after that pic he was stabbed in his heart

Going to back the last affidavit that was shown from MM mom. Does anyone find it strange that his wife never commented. And who postpones a wedding because the pictures were unavailable because the computer crashed? That makes no sense to me. I didn't think the computer crashed as the Bishop just took it to the shop to remove the virus. Another lie.

Yes, I'm fairly sure the card did not fall out on its own. I have a digital SLR camera, and its card fits very snugly into the slot. If she was in a hurry (and we know she was), she could have inadvertently pulled the door off trying to get to the card--or it could have fallen off in the washer. Those doors are pretty delicate. In any case, the camera's being in the washer was no accident.

So she took the pic with the camera in her right hand, and stabbed him (backhand style) with the knife in her left hand? That makes the most sense to me if he wasn't shot first.

Wasn't the tape found on the floor in the laundry room? I know some are of the opinion Travis had the duct tape to secure the body bug, but I think they have Velcro IIRC.

Ok, washing the camera in bleach to remove blood and DNA and taking the memory card with her makes the most sense to me.

So why she left the card behind is the real mystery to me now. lol

I am confused as to what role Maria De La Rosa was supposed to have played in the Arias trial. Why was she there everyday playing friend and companion to Arias? In the job description of a mitigation specialist it seems that it's to observe and make reports. What am I missing?

It is odd. here is a job description:

A mitigation specialist is an expert qualified by knowledge, skill, experience, and training as a criminal justice, mental health, or sociology professional. The role of a mitigation specialist is to present mitigating circumstances and factors to all players within the criminal justice system (prosecutors/probation officers/judges/jurors) in an effort to persuade all relevant parties that this particular individual’s case merits special consideration.
