You are not completely wrong......I tend to do what you said. What I DO know or think I know is the SCPD and DA will do most anything to subvert the ends of justice if they find their own people are involved.

This case is no different than what I have seen before, know and understand.

The DA has now seen to it that one of his people that could be involved is running the investigation.

Think about it - when did you ever see a district attorney, any district attorney injerject himself into a murder investigation at this stage of the proceedings?
 
I think I can say if a college had a course about corruption in Suffolk County PD and DA office I would qualify for a PHD. You would be addressing me as "Dr.Hawkshaw".

I believe the possibilty this case seems to be going nowhere may have to do with connections between the prostitutes, their pimps, and members of law enforcement or politicians. I am not saying they killed the gals (not that it isn't possible) but I am saying that somewhere along the way the lives of the victims, co-workers of the victims, and their handlers crossed paths in some very important way.

Make no mistake about it - they will even ignore a legitimate suspect if there is a chance they will be exposed themselves. I have seen them do this before and they will do it again.

If they can't do this in a legitimate fashion the best way to do it is to blame a dead man that can't defend himself. They, (meaning the DA and police) can come up with almost any scenario to place a person near the crime scene when that person can't defend themself, or anyone really care.
 
So NYPD detectives were asking about LI back in 2007? Did I understand that correctly? It was around 24 mins into the interview.

IIRC her cell phone pinged off of a tower on LI after she disappeared.

I will like to take a moment a say say 30th Birthday to my loving sister who I miss so much.

When a person passes away birthday turns into the celebration of that persons life. Maureen life was full with joy, laughter, love and kindness. She will always and forever be missed by the ones who loved her and knew her in her life.

SS, The Foreigner wrote a very interesting post that has piqued my interest. You now ask him to prove it. May it is true, maybe it's not. Maybe he is misinformed. We posters are not really in a position to prove anything. All we can do is offer information and let the others digest it for what it may be worth. You are usually more tolerant of others posting information, why not this time?

All due respect, that is not how this website works. You might be able to drag people's names through the mud at other websites but here on this website a poster cannot start making accusations with a person's real name unless that person has been in the news and directly linked to this case. What Foreignor posted may have been interesting gossip but this isn't a gossip website. If you notice, her post was removed accordingly.

What do you mean by gossip? "making accusations" and "drag people's names through the mud" ?
I posted a map (no street names or housenumbers) with addresses plotted in which showed the distance/closeness between Buffalo NY Melissa Barthelmy related addresses and the fired trooper Titus Taggart Buffalo addresses + one person from Oak Beach Buffalo address, who , by rumor, has been named to have talked about what possibly happened to Shannan Gilbert the morning of May 1st 2010.

Great job on Taggart!! I think there was an Oak Beach resident (BA) mentioned in your post that has not been in MSM. That's probably why it was removed and maybe to what Seaslug was referring.
 
Can someone please cross-post these messages in the Melissa B thread. It does seem that the Buffalo to LI link as well as the I-95 corridor, from Maine to NYC going into Brooklyn/LI, and to Baltimore might be relevant to MBB, MB,and MW.

In all respect; I´d like to ask if MBB's sister, Meltruth, could share how come you in this 48 hours clip says that your sister Maureen BB called you July 6th (2007) and that you then say that, "I guess that was the night before she didn´t come back" (that would mean she didn´t, as apparently expected, came back July 7th 2007), when officially it has been stated that she disappeared July 9th (2007)
There seem to be a 2 days discrepancy.

I only ask this in order to be absolutely sure WHEN MBB actually went to NY and when she disappeared.

May I also respectfully ask you; WHERE was Maureen when she called you?
Was she in New York? or was she still in CT?

Did she have an STD panel? Particularly did she have HPV (Genital warts)

HPV is an interesting one among the set of STDs. Condoms may not work. Once transmitted, one of the definitive treatments involve use of Interferon, which is an expensive and possibly traceable medication. It is unlikely that a potential perp doesn't already have the disease. Really long shot, but maybe it is worth questioning.
