I am the last person to be able to be sure about something related to the English language as I am a foreigner, but from what I understood from the niece words, Cheryl was, of course to go by carpool before the badge entered the story and was also to carpool after going for the badge. I mean, the colleague said she would wait and asked 'how much' and C said '10 mins' and said nothing else which was inferred by the colleague/friend that she (CD) would go back to carpool after having the badge. That's why the friend waited until 7.30 and when she didn't appear the colleague tried to cal her and the phone was off. Am I right or my interpretation is as gibberish as my English language? lol :blushing: I pity you for reading my texts, but I can assure you I do my best... but it must be a pain in the *advertiser censored**e :crosseyed: :runaway:

I was waiting for you to come and post exactly this.
I realised when I read your post again, that you was meaning her niece still said there was no intention of catching the bus, even after CD had said she would be 10 minutes, that CD would return and carry on with the carpool.
I just don't know.

good idea! sometimes it is advised to park away at farthest end of parking lot or take stairs to incorporate more exercise into your daily routine. but..that seems a bit odd to me if her friends say this isnt normal for her to park there.

As far as I could tell, the block where CD's car was found is the closest place you can park your car to the park and ride outside of the parking lot.

I was thinking that someone said that it was her normal routine to park on 58th. Is that not true? Does she normally park in the lot?

That might change my mind about a couple things.

Yes, just that pinklilies. That is what I understood from the niece words but, as I said, I am a trustable person but... not in English!

Your English is brilliant. I can always clearly understand your posts.

The family said clearly that she used to park where her car was found only when the parking lot was full.

so where does riding the bus, as the police said, enter the picture? not a pain in you know where :)

Oh, you are the bees knees !!Pun intended! :) Your posts are fine! :)

" “Just go without me,” the text said. “I’ll probably ride home with you.” "

"Her friend wrote back asking how long it would take and saying that she would wait.
The text back to the friend estimated that DeBoer’s trip back home would take 10 minutes."

"But then Cheryl sent her friend a text message saying she would be late and would take the bus instead -- but she never made it to work."

I think Cheryl was willing to take the bus as she didn't want to inconvenience the friend.

Then the conversation was about the ten minutes to get the badge, so the friend waited.

Cheryl would have taken the bus as to not inconvenience the friend.

The waiting for Cheryl, implies to me, that the friend was still going to take Cheryl in the car pool.

With the different media stories with the added info or leaving out of the bus topic it has been confusing!
IMOO.

The family said clearly that she used to park where her car was found only when the parking lot was full.

And the lot wasn't full that morning. Hmmm. So maybe she just made a u-turn on 58th and pulled over to text her friend? That WOULD be a good place to turn around. Otherwise I start to think that her car being there could just have been staged so that it seemed like a random crime of opportunity.

ok if "her niece still insisted there was no intention of catching the bus, even after CD had said she would be 10 minutes," and CD texted about riding the bus, then maybe she is saying Cheryl didnt really intend to catch the bus or someone else was texting instead, or making Cheryl text. that is how the police and her family can be right....unless her family is disagreeing with police. i dont want to think that....

Oh c'mon pinklilies that is because you don't know what your username was for me during some time...

The first time I read your username, giving it a quick look with my foreigner eyes, I read 'painkillers' and I thought to myself 'some strange username'... Some time after, when once I was writing directly to you and looked better at the username in order to at least write 'painkillers' with no mispellings I saw it was 'pinklilies'! I had a laugh at my own expenses! :floorlaugh:

Some Pink Lilies to redeem myself from the painkillers

thank you. i bet we can find a lot of media sources saying all sorts of conflicting things. i never fully trust the media, lol. someone posted a post earlier showing example of how confusing they can be and mentioning polygraphs, but then deleted their post i think?

I don't know how they would know her routine unless she mentioned it to someone. But I don't think they would be making it up!

One thing we learned this weekend, Cheryl was not a grandmother. Here is part of her obituary:

She is preceded in death by her father Ervin Peterson and is survived by her mother Lenore Peterson Taylor (Jim), husband Michael, son Eric (Amy), brother Carl Peterson (Christy), sister Karen Coragiulo (Mike), niece Alicia Coragiulo (Chris Adkins), nephew Chad Coragiulo and great niece Erin Coragiulo Adkins. - See more at: http://m.legacy.com/obituaries/seat...&referrer=0&preview=True#sthash.t5F12fqK.dpuf

well, that is sad. its such a small world, i went to school with Chris Adkins. :(

Mother, sister and niece. The three of them agreed that she would park there only when the parking lot was full. I believe them.

Beesknees, your post has made me  you must have thought I was so strange choosing a name like that...
This is the first forum I have ever joined. When it came to picking a username, I looked around my room, saw a vase of pinklilies and thought, that'll do!
Here's for you [emoji219]

Eta: sorry, that was a pic of a bumble bee, don't know where it's gone. It must have flown away..

They did a press conference shortly after CD went missing. There is a video out there. Sorry I'm not able to locate it for you.

Yeah, I don't think so, either. I think her carpool friends probably told them.

I saw some photos from the service on her son's Facebook page. It must have been beautiful. I'll never forget Cheryl.
