Not sure if you were joking, but even if they actually did try to recreate this it wouldn't work because the person would have to have the incredible will to actually die, and I don't think a police/researcher could muster that from nowhere.Maybe a brave soul on the police force can try to recreate the suicide by loose plastic bag/falling face first into the water scenario. (With backup to rescue him/her of course)
See how far back the houses generally are from the road? If they have security cameras facing toward the street I feel like there would be several problems with this regarding Cheryl walking that route:He is a link to a possible walking route from the location of Cheryl's car to the culvert. ... it therefore it avoids major arterials and intersections - as a result there are no traffic cams visible and few commercial properties en route...
ETA: Who knows what time of day google collected these images but I am stuck by the lack of traffic, both vehicle and pedestrian.
1. It wasn't completely light outside.
2. It was overcast.
3. Too great of a distance for a camera to pick up good info on anything.
4. Security cameras are gaining popularity, but still, not everyone has one. (we have a LOT of package thiefs in King County/Snohomish/Kitsap so most people I know of aim their cameras at their porches and driveways.)
Someone who wanted something she had. They wouldn't even have to hate her.Look at this lady!
Who would hate her?
Seriously Its just a photo of her but I cant see anyone hating her.
Stryker: What did your mom put her credit cards into? Did she carry a tote bag to work, and if so is that missing? I know so many people who commute into the city (myself included) and I kept a ton of stuff in my messenger bag. With being a System's Analyst - especially a laptop in case I was on-call and someone needed something that required remoting in immediately. So, I was curious about a messenger bag or tote bag - she had to keep her phone/glasses/keys in something?(regarding belongings) My wording was very confusing. I remember reading that and thinking it could confuse someone.
It would help us to know in case any of us go out looking for evidence using Anzac's guidelines.
Just wanted to mention that if the cell phone was thrown away into water it would have turned off pretty much immediately. (Unless she had it in a waterproof case.)Finding the phone and wallet along a secluded (creek) route to the culvert would tend to support suicide IMO.
In fact, the phone being turned off (a murderer wouldn't go to the trouble of turning it off, they'd just throw it away) does support suicide because it is a very deliberate act to obscure her trail, and right after the text too IIRC.
Don't forget that tomorrow is the Washington State caucus!!! Voting is cool. All the cool kids are doing it! I would, however, love to try and join in an effort another day if I can!Feel like organizing something? I have nothing better to do on a Saturday than dig around in ditches and bramble
