That really jumped out at me. When asked for a specific time frame, he said Saturday/Sunday, weekend...not Sunday morning/afternoon...

YES...I am still doubtful of time she was really missing.

As much as I thought the dad was involved, I am starting to think this could be a stranger.

we are continuung to recanvas the neighbourhood around the home
re interview people, that is how they discovered the body
they are gonna do dna request
asking for help for people in the park, if they saw something, someone out of place
the preson who may be resposible would havemud on them. significant amount, muddy pants, shirt, shoes, boots
if you know of someone who has thrown away muddy clothes/footware, let LE know
next briefing at 4:30
will hopefully have positive id on the body, they believe it is Jenise
forested, heavyly covered in mush, not easy to get there.
park residents will have a DNA swabb

I hate to even think out this, but I'm wondering if it was such a "thick" area, maybe she was thrown. And, if so, that could mean there was more than one person. just thinking.

I heard that also - but what I heard was that the parents are being cooperative and that they can not clear anyone yet, because they don't have details such as COD, TOD, or MOD. The way the gentleman worded his statements, it leads me to believe they are leaning far away from the parents.

And regardless, Bessie posted a warning above that the parents are not to be discussed as poi/suspects at this point in time. If that changes, she will let us know.

It was different for me. It was like he went out of his way not to say they were cleared. TO me it sounded as if he wanted to make them feel okay while still including them in the suspect pool which at this point would be normal not knowing the full facts. I believe they know COD. I also believe that they are walking with kid kid gloves to keep the parents cooperating and feeling open.
The more info the better.

I am not calling them suspects but I think it is telling he did not immediately say they are when asked.

They took Poly's. But have not released the results.. Can anyone else think of cases where parents were poly'ed and cleared pretty quickly?

I have to say.. I am really really hoping this is stranger case. I am not looking for anyone she knew to have done this to her. It always just seems all the more cruel.

Yes, also snagged hair strands. Foot or shoe prints for sure!

And I would think tire tracks along that dirt road, possibly - if a vehicle was used.

Poor baby :( Just heartbreaking. This is the 4th case like this in the last year or 2. So very sad.

They probably won't clear anyone until they actually know who did it. And that is very common. It doesn't mean much.

Oh Jayzus. This means they consider the father's report of 'safe in bed' to be unconfirmed.

So when was the last confirmed sighting on Saturday?

I'm gonna go off and do some primal scream therapy. :pullhair: BRB.

MP, 14, was one of the last people to see Jenise. She said they were together Saturday night. “I was hanging out with her all day Friday and Saturday and I woke up and didn't see her at all Sunday,”

Seems like we're on the right track by doubting that she was indeed in bed 10pm Saturday.

I was thinking the perp would have scratches (still do), but the mud info is a great tip for people to look for/remember.

Drat, though. I so wanted to hear about an arrest!

O/T ..Has anyone else lost their 'Thanks' button after post # 446? No #447 post, jumps to #448. w/no thanks button after that. What's going on? TIA. nancy.

What I think. They have a lot of evidence from crime scene. Like someone said....hair, odor, DNA, foot prints. They just took bloodhound around to each home. Fingers crossed.

He did say that it was hard for the sun to penetrate through. I am getting the impression that it was more than muddy. Like very wet, runny, so much so that it would be hard to identify foot print and such.
sorry for the spelling mistakes, my comp was being slow, lol

I see this with a lot of cases...even if LE has someone in mind, they will ask the public to jog their memories, keep the tips coming in. They don't want to potentially miss anything. So for me, I try not to read into what LE says in pressers unless they are giving out facts.

The only problem with muddy clothes...........they can be washed in any washing machine.

Oops ! There goes the evidence.

I would imagine they also have plenty of footprints, handprints, and impressions found in the mud that they can compare things to later.

Have there been any other missing or murdered children in this area in the last few years?

Do we know what time the pressor will be today?

When that happens to me it is after I make a post; I just refresh the page and the Thanks buttons appear. :)
