I'd love to know this too...along with what exactly he was in trouble for... it's a small town, it musta been in the newspaper right? even if his name isn't mentioned maybe it will throw out an age :)

I'm confused. Is Kara the mom at whose house Lindsey went to? Her daughter is M? The guy who said he told Lindsey to start home has a different last name...who is he?
 
IMO, LE should or probably is looking at the brother. They might be saying otherwise so he isn't lawyering up and they want to find a body first.
 
I noticed on K's myspace disturbed (lindsey) left a message to join the EMO and proud cause. EMO means emotionally disturbed. My 12 yr old says the kids who cut themselves are considered EMO. Wonder if these girls are into this? 10 seems young. She would be going into 6th grade (intermediate school here). All this stuff didn't start until middle school here. Both of their myspace pages are very disturbing.

This case reminds me a lot of another little girl out on the West coast who went missing from yet another small town. The scenario is almost identical to this one. She was also heading home from a little friend's house and never made it home. Her little body was found in the town cemetery. Her bicycle laying on the ground, propped up against a headstone.

I know that I read about the other case here on WS just recently (within the past few months), but I cannot locate the thread for it now. I do not know if an arrest was ever made in that case.

I just cannot shake the feeling that the cases are so strikingly similar.

You may be referring to the Jodi Parrack case, but that happened in Michigan, not the west coast.

This case also reminds me of Sandra Cantu. Missing in just a matter of moments.
 
The friend's father, Scott Williams, said he asked Lindsey to go home before it got too dark.

"She was here 10, 15 minutes, and then, you know, we said, 'You should probably get going before it gets dark,' and that was the last we heard of her," he said.

The girls were at MC's home around 9:30 Friday night, hoping Lindsay could sleep over.

"I told her you need to head home, it's getting dark soon, a half hour of light left. She put on her shoes and headed home," said Kara Campen.

So who really told her to go home??? Are they boyfriend and girlfriend or are these two different households? Did she stop at another friend home on the way home? this is confusing.
 
ok... It's kinda hard to post info because they are all minors... but.. I'll do my best on what I did find.

Fistey "K**** Kampen" - She is the daughter of Kara and her brother is the first name listed on the moms friends on myspace. I do not know if there is more than one brother & I do not know if Fistey & Michaela are the same person because Fistey does not go by the name Michaela at all... cept under her pics, she has an album with that name but of animals.

On Lindsey's myspace that is viewable, it lists out her best friends... K is listed, along with her brother and 2 other lil girls... however no mention of family or brother or anything to do with a Michaela... I did search myspace for the last name Baum in McCleary & there is page listed with a boy named K*V*N that is 19 (or so the myspace says) LOL It hasnt been used since June of 08. This may be her bro or may not be... but there aren't very many Baum's in McCleary.

I thought this might be the brother also. He doesn't look 19, but the myspace is useless since it is private. Has anyone seen a myspace for her mom or her dad?

I just watched our local news. Lindsey is the top story. For that I'm thankful.

It appears this case has galvanized the locals in McCleary to get looking. I saw interviews with people who live there and have horses who are searching, and people who just live there and want to help.

I take comfort that the people in McCleary are coming together for this little one. It looks like the whole town is on high alert and are looking everywhere.

I was a little disturbed at her mother's comments. She said why would whoever took Lindsey still be in McCleary? They would have taken her somewhere else. While I may agree....it bothers me that her mom said that.

It gives all the searchers there a sense of negativity and hopelessness IMO. I just didn't like the comment. But that's just me I guess.
