Chico fixed his post that you quoted. :)

Great that you are calling people! I am so happy you are there and working so hard, Jennifer!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Jen once this weekends searches are over, will we be able to share with the forum what we found and show on a map what was searched?

I'm not sure, that's something Brad will have to answer. :)

And as far as being told in the briefing whether or not you could talk about it.. I don't recall us being told to tell searchers that they couldn't discuss it. I was told specifically not to mention it online. I also couldn't discuss things that Brad and I talked about in private online or in real life.

I will have to talk to Brad or Dawn and ask if that is something we need to tell every searcher.
I think they are going on the idea that since it was an ongoing investigation that people would know not to discuss it. It might not be something they thought of. I'll bring it up tomorrow.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Sorry if it is belated now.

I seen it after I posted (I hadn't refreshed the page. I read my private message asking me to delete it and then when I went looking for it I couldn't find it. I thought I was going crazy. lol)

Nope, not belated. It's in 20 minutes! lol

Thank you.

Thanks WSers for all of your hard work, thoughts, prayers and support for Lindsey and her family. It is wonderful working and meeting some of the WSer's that are local. Sorry I haven't had more time to sit and really talk with some of you.

If some of you have areas that you are interested in having us search, send them to me at my email addy....search4missing@yahoo.com ...especially if you've been looking through MikeB's photos (I wish I had more time to do that, MIke was nice enough to bring me some printed photos and I feel like a heel for not spending more time talking with him). Thanks Mike!

As you know, we can't speak of areas we search, areas we plan to search, or things that are found.

Thanks again for the wonderful support and keep those prayers coming!!!!!
Here is his polite reminder. ;)

See what happens when you've been up 18 hours straight?

yeah.. reading comprehension goes right out the window. On that note.. I'm off to bed. 6 am comes early!

A couple of things.

If you're feeling bad about disclosing a search area on this forum don't worry, I had a TV cameraman recording me pointing to an aerial photo describing the area we were searching. Hahahaha. I realized later that might not have been a good idea. Not sure why.

Other point. Or lesson learned today. This is a good tip. We don't know for sure if Lyndsey is alive or dead. When we're searching the brush like today we are looking for a body. After ten hours of that it can be quite wearing so I ended my day today in a town a little ways away and started looking for live Lyndsey. Low odds but that doesn't matter. It made me feel better.

G'nite our weary warriors!! Get some well earned rest.

Jennifer...please try to enjoy your birthday. Maybe someone will slide you a cupcake today. :)

Hahahaha~ Tricky cameraman! ;) Gotta watch out for them. Kinda like Geraldo giving up our soldiers' positions.

I am glad you ended your day on a positive note, Mike. It should be a requirement perhaps. Just take a few minutes to walk through town...any town on the way home from searching. Good suggestion.

One quick comment while I wait for my husband to get out of the shower.

No, as I had it explained to me today, we aren't looking for a body. We are looking for clues to a missing little girl. Stumbling across a body might happen.. that possibility is always there. But first and foremost we are looking for something that holds a clue to her where abouts.

We all hope and pray that Lindsey comes home (albeit a little battered and bruised but) alive.

Just two days ago a family had their similar prayers answered when Jaycee Dugard was found alive after being gone for 18 long years.
There is always hope. Always. And that hope is what keeps me working so hard at finding Lindsey.

I just want to say THANK YOU, again, to everyone here. To those working first-hand in McCleary, all of you sound so amazing, and the work you are doing has me moved to tears. And to the rest that can't be there in person, for keeping the hope alive here. I am honored to "know" all of you.

I had a 7 hour drive today. Pretty much the whole drive was spent thinking about Lindsey. Because of this new search, and because of everyone here...I have a renewed hope that Lindsey will come home, one way or another. I know everyone here is sending their positive thoughts and prayers. But I think we can go one step further. Not only thinking and hoping that she will be found, but KNOWING it. I hope all of this doesn't sound cryptic or creepy, it's been a long hot (107 at one point) day in the car, haha. But searchers, go out saying, "My group is going to find something to bring Lindsey home."

It might just be the emotions and intense hope, or it might just be the heat. But Lindsey is coming home.

I have the utmost respect and admiration for the local WSers who participated in the search today. It's people like you who restore my faith.

I've spent some time looking at Mike's photos (you actually hang out of the airplane to take them? Wow!) and have to admit I was a little overwhelmed by the daunting wilderness, though it looks absolutely beautiful. I'll be thinking of all you as you set out to search again tomorrow and will be praying for a large turnout.

ETA: Happy Birthday, Jennifer!!!

sending positive thoughts to all the searchers!

Lindsey come home to your mother......there are many who are looking for you.....sweet girl.....

hugs to you mom Baum we are all here to support you......

I haven't read the threads, I will. I just wanted to report in.

I wish I could share information but I've been asked not to say anything about the searches themselves.

I can tell you that I met the woman who "broke up the fight" between Josh and Lindsey. And lets just say that the media, once again left out a lot of information and got even more incorrect.

I spent a lot of time today (I was there 10 + hours so I had a lot of time to visit between briefings, mapping and debriefing. lol) with KK and MB. I even got to spend a little bit of time with Josh. It is confirmed that he does have Aspergers. I got to meet Kadence. What a neat dog.

Anyway, I feel good about things that were found today. I hadn't read the report of JVK/Cyberswepts search (I was debriefed out so I passed that on to Breanna or maybe it was Dawn.. to do. lol). I'll read the report tomorrow.. sounds interesting.

It's been a long exhausting day and I will be back there tomorrow morning (it's my 41st birthday.. I would like presents (Dell mini laptop please) and a cake (or as Sandy said a muffin) at 8 am to do it again.

There is so much more I want to say but I can not think straight. I need a long soak in the tub. And a couple of beers.

{{{{{{{Happy Birthday, Jen!!!!!!! }}}}}}}}

Sorry - all out of laptops - and I think my pooch ate the cake that was here (and honestly - you prolly would not like it anyway - mine has to be soy-based and sugar-free). .....but here are some dancin' 'nanners!!!!!!

For personal and health reasons I haven't been able to spend as much time online the last few weeks as I'd like to, nevertheless, I have been quick-lurking on a daily basis.....and I just have to say how proud I am of this group of peeps. What's been done w/Mike's fantastic pics (much like the Steve Fosset search which I also participated in) and the WS presence at the searches......you guys are all beyond amazing......so far beyond, that there are no words....just a huge warm feeling in my heart.

It is sleuthing proven facts and pulling together such as this that has earned WS it's rep for being the "Gold Standard" of such boards, and why LE has turned to our boards for clues from time to time......

......we're going to bring these babies home - and justice *will be served!!!!!

You all deserve :applause::applause::applause::applause::applause::applause::applause:

For those not local, weather conditions have changed from nice and dry to raining all night. Sending lots of warm, dry wishes to those who are out searching. Due to lack of childcare, I still can't come help...and it's driving me nuts because it's in my own backyard.

Don't beat your self up because you will be able to help slueth witht the info they bring back. I look at like if I can't be there I'll do something on my end. I called the 3 major stations on Wed. to ask them if they would report Lindsey's search in their constant news rotation. That didn't happen so you have to focus on something else. Our local searchers are going to be burnt out and may need you to spread some news they share. Our state is notorius for helping one another in a crisis so I'm wondering why this was given such little air time and LE didn't send out these private plans to search to other agency's to gain more volunteers. LE doesn't have to be putting on the event of the search to spread the word. Thankgoodnes for the folks that volunteered as they are one of the walking angels on earth. Shame on Wa. state for not seeming to want to be involved. Our Pugeut Sound Easter Egg a hunts get more airplay. Our state seems to be getting numb with all our reported crimes against children and when apathy & frustration sit in it is time to change laws. This is a good way to volunteer if you can't physically help in a search for our missing children. Hang in there on this drizzly day foot soldiers, your "All" is not for nothing. ~<3~

Go Searchers Go!!!!!!! Lindsey come home today. It is Jennifer's birthday and she has been working so hard to find you. It would be the most specialist (is that a word?) of presents for her. Not to mention all of Websleuths would be cheering!

Any clue you might be able to send Lindsey would be helpful. We are praying for you sweetie and sending you strength and love so that you might be able to help the searchers find you.

And we are praying for the searchers that their eyes and ears are sharp and tuned and that they have extra determination, persistence, strength and endurance to find you!

Salem

Let this be the DAY!

www.helpfindthemissing.org poster "Hairball" posted he found odd items on his search. States he wishes LE would look at the dump site where he located these items. Something positive must come out with all the good that is going into finding clues to return Lindsey home.

Awww...I guess this means Mike didn't get to fly today. :(

Any reports from the field today? If it is raining...it will be miserable searching. My heart truly goes out to them. Keeping them all in my thoughts and prayers.

Lindsay, where are you? I pray that someone is led directly to you and will bring you home today where you belong.

I'm thinking about "Muddy when it rains, & lonely" from Tubas impression after working on Lindsey's chart. Maybe this bit of rain from last night was to help in the search for Lindsey. Yuky moist stuff to tromp through for all the searches. I'm curious as to the ratio of men and women who volunteered for the search and if there were out of towners who came as well. While traveling to Yakima and all the pit stops inbetween I enquired if Lindsey's story reached east of the mountains and most had know idea. It is always interesting to hear what touched those that traveled from other counties to help and if they take the info back to their communities. The Karen Carperter song, "Bless the Beast & the Children" (and all who protect them) keeps playing in my head. The anticipation of positive news to report keeps us on pins and needles so everyone return safe.
