I added some clarification in my last two posts.

Did Lindsey go to church activities or church summer camp? I thought I read that she did. Wasn't that one of the DG connections to her? Who else?

From... http://www.girlscoutsww.org/aboutus/camp_properties

I don't believe he was a youth counselor - I believe he worked in the kitchen iirc. It is not Evergreen.

ETA:
Actually I do not know for sure it is not Evergreen or affiliated with Evergreen in same way. I was thinking we determined which camp it was he worked for, but now thinking back I don't think we did. In the affidavit for the sw, it references DG's boss and her statement about him not working there that night, but I don't think we could track her name to a specific camp.

I went back and re-read the affidavit and the name of DG's supervisor at the Youth Camp near Olympia was whited-out, so I guess we didn't even have that to try and track down the right youth camp. This also refreshed my memory about DG being suspended from that job from June 7th - 27th, returning to work on June 28th (a Sunday).

Was anything going on at Evergreen church in McCleary on June 26th? I remember talk early on about people wondering if any meetings were being held there at that time.

Many churches have VBS ( vacation bible school ) for a week around June and July.

Here is Black Lake Bible Camp in Olympia, I will search for others nearby....

This christian school on Black Lake Blvd. may be tied in with the camp.

I don't know whether this leads anywhere -- but there's a lot of circumstance pointing to DG as a person of concern. He was cruising that night and said weird things the next day. I wonder if instead of being involved in abduction, he saw something?

What could he have seen that would lead him to the conclusion he jumped to? Why would he lie about it (if indeed he did lie about it -- we don't know what he told police)? Who is he afraid of?

I'm getting a feeling that McCleary has a rather strong social divide, and people like DG and the Baums are on one side of it while the mayor, the jewelry store owner, etc are on the other. And some of the people on the other side suspect one of their own, but denial kicks in -- "Oh, leave him/her alone, we know he wouldn't do a thing like that."

Which side of that divide would the woman who sent Josh home fall on? Or the friends with the swimming pool?

From the link above:

Grays Harbor County Undersheriff Rick Scott said authorities do not have any indication that the remains might belong to Lindsey Baum, the young girl who disappeared June 26 in the small town of McCleary, about 50 miles away

Human Remains Discovered near Toledo [,WA]

( TOLEDO ) – An 8-year old boy playing outside Toledo made a grisly discovery that has local authorities looking for answers. The child discovered human remains yesterday afternoon. They were found at a location along the 100-block of Cougar Lane. Stacy Brown with the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office says it’s too early to know whether the person was the victim of a crime. The remains are likely those of an adult. Cadaver dogs are also being called in to help search for additional clues, including something which might lead to the identity. The investigation also includes checking missing person records.

I added the bold, green emphasis. It's a tragedy regardless of whether it's an adult or a child but at least that statement might suggest it is not LB.

so if it's not lindsey or susan then who is it?

any other high attention dissapearences in that area?

Interesting...and several other choice adjectives.

TakeNote, while I agree it needs to be addressed I don't think the press conference yesterday was the place to bring up what happened on Saturday.
There are other ways to cross that bridge that won't make anyone angry. ;)

Hi JenniferO,

I was wondering if you travel back and forth from California to Washington to help with the search center?

This article was updated last night and now reads:

"This does not appear to be Lindsey Baum. No, this is not a child," says Stacy Brown of the Lewis County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators say the bones are likely those of a man - but at this time, no one is certain. - snipped

A preliminary investigation has found that the bones appeared to have been in the area for one to two years.
A car was found abandoned in the area during that time. But police are being cautious.

"We are not speculating on who this person may be until we can get a forensic pathologist to look at the bones, analyze them and try to ID the person," Brown said. - snipped

well if its a man that prtty much rules out everybody we were thinking about

Hi Jules, It's great to see you again. Everything you say it what led me to be so suspicious of Mr Nelson ~ and the whole scenario over at his house that evening. Acc to KK the girls had been there swimming the previous day as well. That brings to mind that Lindsey had just been reunited into the clan of the Nelson niece the day before she went missing.

And with Mr Nelson and our learning that he had many male friends there on the night Lindsey vanished, many related, and all 'drink at home buds' per the usual for that small hamlet of McCleary, it seems to me to be a lot of opportunity for look-see's at these swimming and playful girls. IMO

I'm still tossed and torn as to whether she was singled out as a target or died accidentally, like from a truck backing up in a driveway and accidentally hitting her, unbeknownst to the fact she was coming back to seek safe refuge for the night from some other situation, maybe with her brother at home and not wanting to go there.

Right now I think she was A} hit by a truck or car backing out of a driveway that wasn't level, having a large rut running straight across it at the Nelson's, or B} targeted by some sicko at the gas station who took her up yonder as he had visualized in his mind for a long time.

Just me thinking out loud. I wish we would get something tangible to pounce on. Maybe this order against Mr Nelson takes the lead of the two possibilities I see after all these months of studying Lindsey's case. A drinker for sure with wild and wooly man friends. I shudder at the thought!

I need to go catch up on what I have missed. xox xox

Could this Nelson be related?...maybe at the pool party?...
