I wonder if Bucoda Hwy and Hwy 501 are one in the same? It looks that way from the map. Are you saying the bigger house on the left is 725 and the small one in the center is 719? That would make sense.

It certainly looks like Bucoda and Hwy 501 are the same. This might help w/property searches. I think the building on the left is a garage(?) - not sure.
As to the address numbers - these online maps can be off as far as accuracy...

I've been looking at the area in Google Maps and I think I found the house:

Is this the one?
======================
The little white house does look similar.
The house is in the 700 block of Star Route 507.

There were videos onlne from news reports.
Let me see what I can find.

Her white Honda car was parked across the street from railroad tracks.

Thanks KAE and Dreamweaver!

Good job KAE, I looked for property records for 719 Bucoda Highway, no such luck.
The link Dream provided was a "no worky" but I found it on a google search, got the screen shot posted above from it. It is the little house. What is next door, looks like a shop or some sort of business?

I know a couple of people were doing searches. I sent them a PM both here and at IS asking for information, but no one replied.

Thank for the confirmation. I was hoping the Bucoda Highway name might help.
This one bugs me.
The cat was reported as missing. Did it ever come back?
Maybe it escaped and she went looking for it and ran into someone...
Has hunting season started yet? Maybe posters could be placed at local sporting goods stores to make area hunters aware of the case.

My thoughts and prayers to Nancy's family and those who knew her. I hope she can be found.

The cat:
The cat was found in the house four police searches later.
I think he/she was found hiding under the bed.

Searches were done til late Spring.
Her coworkers who organize the searches and do searches, had postponed any new searches til this fall.

Hunting season: I do not know when it starts in WA.

It appears there are different start dates for different kinds of weapons and animals and regions.

Nancy's house did not have any close neighbors, as in right next door.
There is video of police search outside the house, digging under a tree.

Thanks for the info dreamweaver.
I hope the searchers will be aware of hunters in the area and are wearing appropriate colors while searching. I'd hate to see any more tragedy come out of this.

Still trying to get my arms around this case. Nancy was separated, but relationship between she and the ex was friendly. Had began dating again, but no potential POI's have been identified by LE, so I assume there is nothing there. Has been said she loved her job at the Department of Ecology in Olympia, no POI's there. The co-worker she dropped off that day after work has been cleared by LE. She had a date with a co-worker that Saturday, and did not show. Ex found the house unlocked, a glass of wine on the coffee table and the TV on when he brought the kids back on Sunday. That indicates she was taken Friday night ... No signs of a struggle in the house.

There is mention of railroad workers doing a project across the street from Nancy's house. I wonder if LE ever got a list of the workers and questioned them? Other notable mentions up stream; A neighbor Nancy mentioned that creeped her out. Married co-worker.

OlyBev, a co-worker of Nancy's who also head's up the private searches, posted on 10-8-09. She is not giving up and will continue to look for Nancy. I hope if I ever go missing I would have someone as tenacious as OlyBev looking for me, as her family seems to be polorized and does not want to appear in the media.

Something very off about this co-worker Matthew? Most of his statements are laced with an in-depth level intimate knowledge and facts about Nancy. It is obvious that he covets his relationship with her as a very close friend above other co-workers & friends. His statements like; "There's a hole in my life and there's a hole in this office," he said. "I can't give up." also, he has been on an emotional roller-coaster since Nancy went missing. He writes to her on the blog referring to her nick name Nanny Mo Mo, He states "We were both tired after a long work week", " She was going home and un plugging the phone and chilling" In addition, He is stating "she lives by a golden rules"... His comments on the blog he felt compelled to create, with his wife feels over the top to me. Talked on the blog as if he has to prove he knows her the best or trying to hard to sell his involvment in her missing? Hmmm Food for thought.. or maybe im reading to much into this, who knows. Just odd to me.

i agree. he seems to be going out of his way to seem concerned. very suspicious.:croc:

Bumping.

Bolded by me. The wine. Was it normal for Nancy to relax with a glass of wine by herself? Could the wine be indicitive of having company?

I definitely think construction workers and in this case railroad workers should be one of the first people to be looked at. They have opportunity to become familiar with someone's routine, assess if a female is single and a lot of the time they tend to be transient traveling to wherever work is. Unfortunately a lot of companies hire undocumented workers for cheap labor, pay them under the table and there are no records kept. Those people do their days work and they move on.

I am glad there is more interest in Nancy's case.

I know that posters said railroad workers and homeless living in the junkyard were all questioned.
Neighbors were questioned.
Dogs were brought in.

As for the wine, I think that it did not seem to be a surprise to anyone, so my guess is, yes, she did have a little wine. IMO.
I don't think there were 2 glasses of wine. I remember asking if there was
a clean wine glass in the dish drainer or the cupboard.

Her plan was for a quiet night on Friday after work.
Sat., she had a date with a coworker. She never showed up.

IMHO: Nancy was abducted Friday night.
I think she stepped outside for a cigarette. She smoked on the front porch
or
someone knocked on the door and she answered it.
She was a small woman.
I think the man that took her just picked her up and put her in his car.

Leaving the door open, the wine out on the coffee table, the tv on, the bedside lamp on.
And
leaving her two girls. Not by choice.

Thanks DW. I have been following Nancy's case since the beginning. You never think it will be months later and still with no answers.

I definitely think Nancy was taken against her will. It seems like she had been outside on the porch either during or right before she was abducted. Were there any foreign tire marks found?

I am still undecided on if I think this was a random abduction or if this was done by someone who Nancy knew and trusted. Would she had opened the door to a stranger? It is a small town - the kind of town where people don't lock their doors and trust one another. The perp could have just walked right in. If he made it all the way up to the front porch you would think he left something behind. Mud, shoeprint, hair, a fingerprint, something. It is so frustrating.

I know what you mean. I have followed her case from the beginning also.
I think that if she taken on Fri. night, then no one knows til Sun. night, and there are two days of time for tire treads to be gone or any forensic evidence to be gone.
I kept thinking that there was something left behind of the man who abducted her, but I just think
time and weather just took any evidence away.

Am I remember correctly that it rained some that weekend?

We still know so little about *Nancy* ... What made her tick? Was she a free spirit, was she a homebody, was she lonely and seeking company, who did she talk to about her personal life and the intimate details only close friends share?

She went to the store after she was dropped off from work Friday right? Did she attract someone's attention that night? Did they follow her home, drive on by and then circle back later, creating some excuse to knock on her door? Get her outside and then grab her? The one thing that bothers me about this is the lack of a scuffle. It either completely happened outside or it was someone she knew.

Me too Gaia, I waver between someone known to her and a stranger. Wish we knew more about the married co-worker.
