The boyfriends criminal record, I found the charge, the statute at the time of filing, time served etc... but haven't found the details and who the victim was. Do we know that info? I saw a vague comment that LE was not discussing it with the press. Is there a reason why it is not being discussed that I have missed.

I have not read in depth but I didn't see much detail posted on the discussion boards either?

Son still hopes for closure in mother's disappearance

The family of a woman who disappeared on Sauk mountain say four months hasn't solved the mystery or quieted their fears of foul play.

For the last 4-months, the not knowing has been agony for Alan Patterson and his family.

[snip]

Wednesday night, candles lined a sidewalk outside the Fred Meyer store in Burlington where Kreiger worked for 17 years. About 100 people turned out for a candlelight "Vigil of Hope" -- a reminder that Kreiger's disappearance is still fresh on the minds of many that were close to her.

[snip]

Over the last 4 months, Patterson says he's received hundreds of anonymous tips and has now raised the reward value to $25,000 for information leading to his mother's recovery. But now says he'd like the FBI to get involved in her search.

I only learned about Patty's disappearance as a fluke. I have been following the disappearance of Hailey Dunn since late Dec 2010. Several of the adults in Hailey's life have appeared on blog talk radio, Bring Them Home Now program. Patty's case was featured prior to Hailey's case on the program that aired on February 3 2011.

I was so intrigued by Patty's case, and so impressed with her son and her friend. I just got around to finding her thread today. I was surprised that Alan and Patty's friend revealed a lot of information that I haven't seen on this thread. It's worth a listen for those following this case, imo. You can listen to the interview at the link below.

P.s. The show is a little "informal" in its operation and the 2 women hosting it take a bit of patience to get used to, imo. But, you will get some good information first-hand by those closest to the missing person.

Peace to Patty, wherever she may be...

No new developments in Patty Krieger case

The Skagit County Sherrif’s Office says they are being inundated with inquiries about the Patty Krieger case.

Chief Criminal Deputy Tom Molitor says that somehow a rumor has started that their office has made arrests in the case, or that arrests are imminent.

Molitor says this is not true and they have had no new developments in this investigation.

Patti's FB Missing page:
Poster says that there has been a body recovered from Sauk Mtn in the last 48 hours.
This is unconfirmed.

They were also the ones who posted the rumor that LP was arrested a few days ago. Which is what prompted LE to make the statement that there were no arrests and no updates in Patti's case.

In other words, I'll believe it when I see an official release.

There will be a 1-year anniversary candlelight vigil for Patti Krieger TONIGHT, at 7:00 pm, at Les Schwab in Burlington, WA.

Charley Project - MISSING: Patti Krieger - Sauk Mountain WA, 2010

‎65-year-old Patti Krieger was last seen hiking with friends on Sauk Mountain on October 2, 2010. She and her dog, Bear, became separated from the group. Bear was found 3 weeks later several miles away, but an extensive search turned up no sign of Patti on the mountain.

Whoever sent that email is obviously lowest of the low. Sorry, but how cold and greedy, preying on desperate family members. I don't know if a case for extortion could be made (no idea about the legal requirements), but I do hope that email can be traced and something happens to the sender. Guess if he/she really is in Ghana, might be hard to track it down though. Just pitiful.

Hoping Patti is found soon...

Krieger's son suggested
foul play may have been involved in her case, and pointed out that Pressley
has over thirty criminal convictions. Authorities stated they had no evidence
of foul play in her disappearance, however
http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/k/krieger_patricia.html

Thats a lot of convictions!!! I wish we knew what they were for.

Also, I read the day she went missing they were with 5 friends. Were they friends of hers? Larrys? or mutual friends of the two?
I didn't read anywhere a statement from anyone in the group about what happened after they split up (after the lunch trip, etc). Did the whole group split up to search for her? Were they togther all of the time? How many cars were taken to the mountain? Why did they bring the ashes to that mountain? Any special reason?

There are so many unanswered questions here... I pray they find her!

Second ransom e-mail sent to son of woman believed dead

The son of a woman who disappeared from Sauk Mountain has received a second ransom e-mail from someone who claims she is alive.

[snip]

He said on Saturday he received another e-mail, saying his mother cried because he wouldn't hand over the money.

[snip]

The Skagit County Sheriff’s Department said it is aware of the e-mails and is checking the authenticity. The FBI also confirms it is assisting and would get involved in the investigation if a kidnapping did take place.
