I was a bit taken aback when she said they had one dog who was being deployed to areas the mediums told her. I would hope they would use the one dog in areas that make sense based on her last known location and not on what a crystal ball predicted.

That one medium I saw who had a video literally said things like.. “I see green, rocks,... cold. She’s strong willed and resilient but she’s feeling abandoned because it’s taking so long. I see.. snow.. trees. She’s alive.” ... that is probably one of those she’s choosing to believe. I could be a medium with that basic info too.

I realize it's NEVER enough when it's your child. However, the search for Sam was larger and lasted longer than many other searches I've seen. I was really quite surprised that it went on so strong for so long. They were really very lucky to utilize SAR resources for as long as they did. Unfortunately, many times they aren't found on the official search. I hope Steve finds her this time.

The search that they did was really incredible, and I only wish that all missing persons got such attention. I hope that the family recognizes this as well. It seems like the vacillate between liking what the police did, and saying they didn't do enough. I know stories of people who weren't found until months later under just the right conditions (albeit not alive). All I hope for them is that in one way or another, they get an end to this story. Regardless, I'm not sure they will ever heal, but at least they would have some closure.

Any updates? What time is it in Washington? Almost 6?

Nothing as of yet. Her mother usually updates between 9 and 11 pm.

This is one of many things that make me angry about mediums. With this kind of information, she could be anywhere. And they use this type of behavior to prey on those people who are at their lowest point. Maybe there are ACTUAL mediums out there...I certainly don't know. But every time she talks about the medium, all I can think of is someone preying on this poor woman's emotions and hope for her daughter.

I find it difficult to judge scale and proportions, based on the aerial photo, but if the ferns surrounding the bluish object are at a similar level, it looks IMO too small to be a standard sized backpack. Anyone else get that impression?

If it isn't full it could also be folded in half or standing on end or something. No clue how it's positioned.

It just sure does look like a blue backpack with some white on it. It's the right colors... with other correct colors nearby that are not earthy tones...

It's making me nervous that her mother hasn't posted anything tonight. I'm wondering if they really did find her backpack as was suspected in the photos, or even Samantha...I know that she said that she would post right away if they did find something, but I can't believe that if they found her in whatever state that she would rush onto Facebook live instead of onto a plane. I've been looking at the Facebook page, but it is past midnight with no activity from her. That being said, she did just post this morning, so maybe she is doing morning updates now.

That color looks spot-on to Sam's backpack. Also the strewn items appear in a semi-cleared space in comparison to its surroundings. If you follow it out to the path, the trail appears to be freshly worn.

Anyone catch Steve is originally from SAYRE Pennsylvania? Of course he is the chosen one to find Sam Sayers originally from Pennsylvania!
