my guess, Narcissistic Jodi thought if the camera was missing that of course, everyone would immediately look to her, the cough professional cough photographer. Who else would steal a camera from a crime scene but the professional? (junkies or meth heads or regular thief/murderers never steal from a crime scene, do they?)

And too funny that everyone was looking at her well before they even knew anything about a camera. And ironic if she HAD stolen the camera she wouldn't have been caught. But her ego, her vision of herself as the one everyone associates "camera" with, got her.

("Professional photographer" my behind. She was a self-absorbed narcissist who took hundreds, if not thousands, of pictures of herself. Because the world was all about her.)

To add to the irony, her left ring finger was damaged in the murder. Signifying that Travis wasn't going "to put a ring on it," I guess.

Me too Zuri. I cannot even begin to comprehend your grief.

From the grief arises rage. A quiet rage that burns in the core of your being. Rage at all that is unjust and heinous. One look at Samantha's face and I saw my mother's face. The same look. The same grief. From that point forward I joined this forum. It is because of caring people like all of you who have passion for justice and want to right the wrong. Somehow. Some way. In our own way. Thank you....

I am a little slow on the uptake here, I know, admittedly...I am working my way through the testimony...am on day 23 of cross, trying to catch up... My Gosh! I cannot believe how indignant JA is, OMG I seriously want to reach through the screen and knock her upside the head with all the word games she is playing with the prosecutor!!!! She is over-the-top indignant and cocky...and confident. I cannot believe the judge permits this to go on, and on, and on; how is this even possible in a court of law? To indulge in a mentally ill person to spend days on tax payers dollars? Wow. I must be naive. I will say that if I were I juror, then I would be rip roaring pissed at all the time she took of MY LIFE to sit around and be subjected to her manipulations...IMO, her demeanor added days upon days of unnecessary testimony. ARgggggggh!

I hear ya. I remember thinking if I was on the jury I would have been kicked off, because I would have stood up and screamed "Answer YES or NO to the *#@!% question."

I just think she had decided to kill him, went through lots of trouble and expense to go to Mesa to do just that. If she left, left him out of her sight, he could have: gone somewhere, Been on the phone perhaps mentioning she had been by, gotten into the shower but locked the bathroom or bedroom doors...any number of things that would ruin her plan to go to AZ undetected and kill Travis and use her extra gas to get to Utah to meet Ryan/PPL meeting for her alibi.

ITA, she stayed with him every second, no way would she have left him to come back even minutes later. It was key no one know she was there, she wouldn't risk leaving him alone.

Visitor logs show her and the aunt visiting a couple of times a week since the trial started.

That doesn't mean they have any genuine feelings towards her... they could just feel an obligation to visit. Edit: and besides... what about the 4 years she was in jail before the trial started? Did they JUST start showing an interest in her since the trial started?

Sorry to trouble you talented folks, but does anyone know where I can find Chris Hughes on direct exam? I thought it was day 9 or 10, but am unable to locate.

Anyone know?

Even if all we can do is 'rage against the dying of the light' at least it is doing 'something.'

(((((((hugs))))))))))) to you and hopes for your son to have a wonderful life!

Isn't he adorable! Napoleon, your master will get justice soon!

"My favorite part of the day was when he got her to repeat, very loudly, that she couldn't comment on whether Snow White was a battered woman because she knew nothing of the relationship between her and the prince. She is so busted. She didn't even know Travis and is only relying on Jodi's word that he was awful, yet everyone else who knew him says he was a wonderful person." ~ Meebee

Found the quote I liked from another forum on websleuths; just bringing it here...
Thanks!

I can almost see the prosecutor doing the check list of numbers and A-E like he did with the psychologist.

Snow white was abused as a child
Arias was abused as a child

Snow white may have been abused as an adult because of the abusive childhood
Arias may have been abused as an adult because of the abusive childhood

The witness knows nothing about the relationship between Snow White and the Prince except what she has read from the Brothers Grimm (or seen on TV)
The witness knows nothing about the relationship between Arias and Travis except what she has heard from his murderer.

She can draw conclusions without having ever met all relevant parties, but is that a good practice ... to form opinions of adult relationship based solely on the information from an admitted murderer? If Snow White told the witness a pile of lies about an abusive childhood and her relationship with her murder victim, would the witness testify to it in court?

If the witness continues to pretend that she doesn't understand the question, she will be perceived as beligerant.

Huh? There was no accomplice. Everyone but Jodi had their alibis checked out especially seeing as the police thought in the beginning that she might have had an accomplice because they were dubeous at first that she would have been able to drag Travis back down the hallway and back into the shower stall.

But the best reason that there was no accomplice is that Jodi herself would be the first one to blame everything on them... that her and this ficticious person went to Travis's house to visit, and the ficticious person killed him for whatever reason and threatened her to keep her mouth shut about it or he/she would kill her too. There's no way on earth that had there been an accomplice Jodi would NOT have blamed everything on them at right from the beginning - NOT. A. CHANCE.

And that actually would have been a reasonable out for her had there been an accomplice. Her bloody palm print could be excused as her trying to help Travis. Her hair could be excused as her trying to stop the "real" killer from killing Travis and gotten in a tussle with the ficticious person. Her blood mixed with Travis's blood and the cuts on her fingers seen later by others could be excused as her tussling with the ficticious person to try to heroically stop them from killing Travis. Her not calling 911 could be excused as her fear of the "real" killer she was stuck with for the ride back home and he/she threatening her to keep her mouth shut. etc., etc., etc. There being an accomplice would have been the BEST excuse for her to get out of HER having killed Travis scot free with all the blame going to the ficticious person while she ends up looking like the hero.

All the things Jodi had to do to rid the scene of her presense were things she didn't expect she would have to do when she left CA for Travis's house because her vision of how it would happen was that she'd stab him once or twice by surprise and he'd die quickly and neatly in the shower. She didn't plan on his being able to get out of the shower and down the hallway leaving a mess of blood all along the way.

She also didn't use the floor cleaner in any of her trying to clean up. Travis had just gotten it, and it had to be put together before it's first use. There is no evidence that it ever left the spot where he himself left it and that it was ever used.

There simply was no accomplice, and that's that.

So do you think it was a coincidence that Gus Searcy was in Santa Cruz the day that JOdi met Matt there on the way down to Daryl's?

I just have this feeling that Matt has confessed in exchange for immunity, but if that were the case, is it possible to keep it for the rebuttal phase or would it have had to come out before now?

Who do you think was in the car with Gus that was so important he would not even write down the name and asked for a lawyer if it was not the accomplice Matt?

I'm not married to this idea, just asking questions Monk-style...

LOLL As in pack mule, with bags to carry things from one place to another!

In some cases the drug king pins make the "mules" swallow the drugs. On the other end i guess they pass the drugs, or quite possibly they kill the person in some cases and cut out the drugs. Other mules just drive drugs around hidden in the car. A good point by Zuri... as Jodi taped her 9mm to the inside of the hood of the car. She then shows she hides things in cars, no normal person would even know how to open the hood let alone how to attach a gun in there.

Another reason for an enlarged anus? But if Jodi was one she sure wasn't into it for big money. Just enough to get by it seems like, and not in Mesa.

This is the only one I could find:

TigerBalm would probably know.

So, have the WS'ers found out anything new? Has ALV said something in her speech that could cause a mistrial like Nurmi is hoping for? Has J5 said something that could cause a mistrial?

Either that, or he was with a married woman.

IIRC, it was a woman and her pic was on here many threads ago. She worked for PPL under GS

I thought there was a hearing a couple days later where they made Gus tell who was in the car and it was a woman. Maybe I dreamed this. Does anyone else remember this as being the case. ty

Someone late last night asked what happened during the time that Travis was crawling down the hall in an effort to escape the attack. I think JA was stabbing him in the back telling him that he is being punished for rejecting her. I would like to bring that question forward in this thread and would like to know what y'all think may have been going on when Travis was trying to escape her and maybe begging for help.

It was interesting to watch the witness present tactics that she teaches women that are bullied by their partners. She quickly said "Mr Juan, are you mad at me", and she repeatedly responded to questions with "Mr Martinez ...". It's her tactic for dealing with abusive partners, but I don't think it's an appropriate tactic for responding to questions as a witness in a murder trial.

She is supposed to be an expert that is providing knowledge to the court, yet she is sparring with the prosecutor, just like Arias tried to spar with the prosecutor.
