Regarding the whole psychological aspect of this case, I'd just like to say that I wish the experts in this "community" could get their chite together. They're obviously so far lost up their azzez that they cannot come to agreement on any assessments they make. There are counters to everything they ascertain. Score cards and silly charts abound. And none of them stick to any protocol. If I were a juror here, I would write them all off. I am a non expert. I am NOT an expert. I have no educational background or experience (apart from a personal one) to speak of...And I know that there is something seriously wrong with JA. My googling about Sociopaths leaves me with a certainty that she is one beyond what any "expert" on the stand is able to convince me as otherwise. They can stick any number of alphabetic descriptors to her but she's a psycho to the rest of us (normal but not necessary expert folk)!

I agree and I also think that thru the years she has found a way of black mailing folks. Maybe she talks them into sneaking a paper(picture...whatever) to her mom in court then she threatens them after the fact with doing the act. I have a feeling she can be quite the charming victim and persuasive...thus keeping folks under her thumb.

BBM

Now that would explain her relative ease with flying here, there and everywhere, driving tens of thousands of miles on a whim (one time with premeditated murder planned), renting cars, etc. Have often wondered, how on earth did she afford all of that working part time minimum wage??

I'm taking them at face value.
This person is asking what we all want to to know: why would JA do something so stupid?

That's the problem, thinking that it's "stupid" as opposed to something that requires higher brain function (thus refuting the fight or flight nonsense). The defense team is hoping the jury finds this action regarding the camera so stupid that it must have been done while in a fog. That's the point Willmot was trying to make during her cross-examine of Demarte.

I read all the minutes that are published between the date of the motion 4/7/13 and now and I didn't find anything about this in the record.

OK. I really wasn't sure and I didn't want to look at the minute notes again.
Thank you.

I don't think that he will. If he could bring it in via the NG episode, I think he would. If he had to bring HER in, I hope that he would err on the side of caution. She was a witness for the defense in the OJ trial. Yes. She took OJ's side in that trial...

moo

ITA!! I keep seeing people say they wish JM could bring her in, but I think it would be a HUGE mistake. Not that I think he could (or would) at this point.

Also... she said she still uses the 6 points, but she did NOT say that JA is not a battered woman. What she said was that BWS is not a free pass, but is meant to give people understanding about their fear and how it might be elevated or different from anyone else in a similar situation. THAT is what she was saying she hadn't seen in this case... the fear. IIRC and MOO of course. :)

If we do we better call ahead to make sure they have enough ingredients for stawberry Fraps on hand to serve all of us!

And make sure we have a look-out to ensure skateboarders don't "play tricks" on us and flip our license plates around.

:seeya:

I think he has a list of 16 rebuttal witnesses and even if he does not call them all (this is his first one).. at the rate the defense is going and with the question phase I think this could well go way beyond any date projected and I do not see this wrapping up Tuesday at all (:twocents::twocents::twocents::twocents::twocents:)

I don't think he actually has 16 people on the rebuttal list. The docket said a "State's sixteenth supplemental list of witnesses". I don't think that means he has 16 people listed... just that it's been changed for the sixteenth time.

I've only heard of the following people being on the list for sure:

Dr. D
Computer Guy
Dr. Horn (Possibly)
Tesoro Employee
Walmart Employee
The Mifford's (TA's friends - I might be spelling the name wrong)

Oh and I read somewhere, I think it was on the Justice for Travis facebook page, that JM estimated his rebuttal case would take about 5 days.

Anyone know of anyone I'm missing?

It's really upsetting to me that between her diet, lack of access to a shower and lack of sleep she looks like carp! People may mistake that for anxiety..fear...worry...

I say feed her, let her rest and hand her some make-up! Then everyone would see the same Jodi as on 48 hours, Inside Edition etc...

She may even be suffering from food fatigue. It's not right. I have no problem with the DP.., but even caged rabid dogs should be fed and allowed to rest.

The bear/tiger question bugs the chit out of me. The person who posed it either has an inflated ego or is dumb as chite can be. What was the point? What were they trying to understand? HINKY METRE (Pinellas effect_ for me. Bleh.

I hope that I am wrong or that the person gets eliminated.

For or against the State, there is something not quite right with that question.

moo

I think that juror envisions a made for tv movie in which the infamous tiger/bear question is included. Guess I got me a suspicious mind, dunno.:moo:

Yes. Even after. If they don't get it by now, there's no getting it.

We don't know who asked the questions and we don't know if the person or persons who asked the questions that are annoying you will make it to the final juror count.

In my mind, from what I've heard, these jurors get it or they get it enough to reason with the ones who don't. And it won't take that much convincing after the closing arguments.

The only question that bothered me out of all the questions asked was the tiger/bear question. That's it. Many here have explained their interpretations and they sound reasonable.

I think there are one or two jurors who are at saturation level and they're ready to go. They're hip to Jodi's sh&t but they don't like JW and they want to mess with her head. One or two bored jurors poking a stick at JW.

Regardless, it's time for them to wrap this up, make their closings then fight over the judge's instructions.

After that, let the chips fall.

ITA with everything you wrote here.

If there is anyone there who doesn't believe this is murder one after the stalking, the gas cans, the cell phone turned off, the car rental from Redding, the hair dying, the upside down license plate, the theft of the gun w/ the caliber matching the bullet taken from TA's head, the 29 stab wounds, the near decapitation, the shot to the head, the change of weapons, the defendant's hand print in a mixture of her blood and the blood of TA, the hair stuck in blood, the efforts to clean the crime scene, the photos she deleted from the camera that was thrown in the washer, the removal of the weapons from the scene, hooking up with RB after the murder....

Sending a dead man an email, a text, a phone call, sending TA's grandmother 20 irises, lying to the police and a 1000 other things, if after ALL that, a juror doesn't get it? Nothing will help.

If there is actually someone in that group who could be that unintelligent, oblivious and COMPLETELY void of ANY measure of common sense, there is no recourse on earth to obtain justice for anyone. Ever.

JA washing the camera instead of taking it
sounds stupid for sure.

:waitasec:
I wonder, knowing that JA had stolen stuff from him before,
not wanting to lose a camera he had spent some $$ on,
could he have purchased a "zoombak" or some type of
GPS theft tracking device ?
They were available in 2008 as an aftermarket addition
to cameras.

Maybe she did leave it by accident.
I just thought if it did have some device on it
she might as well leave it because perhaps it could have easily
been located anyway?

~don't guess it even matters!

I think I'm banned from the site. I went there once to check out the crazies who resided there. I tried to post a comment saying JA would (hopefully) soon be on death row. Not only does the truth hurt, but JA fans don't like to hear the truth; hence the reason they've become her fan.

I think that earns you a "navy blue " rather than purple heart in honour of TA :)

Learned long ago to never underestimate the stupidly of jurors.

The positive part about that strange bear-tiger question is that I thought Dr.JD explained why the PDS would be invalid if you lied about bear vs. tiger very well. I think she clearly communicated that the re-experiencing of the trauma seen with PTSD would be different if the trigger were different in any major detail and thus the answers to the PDS would differ.

I disagree. A PDS would be ascertained regardless if it was a bear or tiger. The "triggers" might be different but a PDS experience would occur with either case. Someone on the jury believes this. I don't agree that JA has PTSD but someone on the jury still does and JD didn't answer the question...
