Well, I'm not sure what to BELIEVE, but what I **Think** is that all the items retrieved from and with the bag should at least be checked to determine if there is any evidence of decomp on them. What occurs to me is that these toys sound like the kind of thing that might accumulate in a car that frequently has a young child as a passenger -- Happy Meal toys, little stuff to keep a child occupied. Many children aged 2 - 3 are fine with small toys that technically are for older age groups because of their size. My son didn't put things in his mouth, for example, so I was able to allow him to play with small toys at an early age.

And if the bones are Bones and were not rocks, then even chicken bones might have been in Casey's car.

If in fact there was a shamrock charm, that would make me feel even more sure that the items at least should be checked closely and thoroughly to rule them in or out. A shamrock charm, and if the cross on the tree in fact does have beads that match beads Casey is known to have owned, are enough reason to me to check the area well.

As far as sonar, I don't know anything about it except what I've seen on deep-sea search programs, but I suspect that their sensitivity lies more along the lines of basic shapes, outlines and sizes and less along the lines of fine details such as those that bones and toys would produce. If I'm right, then TM's sidescan sonar search likely was looking for something the size and shape of a suitcase, duffel bag, plastic storage container, etc. A thin plastic garbage bag buried under silt and containing small objects wouldn't show up looking like anything much, seems to me.

boy, getting pretty rude around here...alot of this stuff makes no sense and makes people crazy. If it gets to the point that you just can't deal....maybe go watch family guy or something. This child needs to be found...period....can you imagine if Caylee could hear some of the comments that are being made...or any other missing child for that matter.

I agree with you, it either is Caylee or it's not.. Until the LE answer's, noone will know. Why anyone would think LP would "plant" this is beyond me cause he is quite smart enough to know if it's not Caylee there is not benefit for himself! While some may not like him, he still has some reputation to uphold given his business/income no doubt... can't see him ruining it all to "plant" info... He is certainly not a stupid individual.. So, guess we can all just sit back and wait for an answer from LE.

I don't think it was planted either. Routinely, through the day, I do a news search on Caylee and when I did this today, there was only one story about the bag and contents. This story said that the bag was being handed over to the FBI for testing.

Probably within an hour to 2 hours, there were pages of news stories about this and somehow, it went from the FBI was testing it to it was no way Caylee.

My gut feeling then was that LE was trying to shut down the media circus, buy some time, and have this tested. I just don't believe that in that short of time, LE can determine for sure that it was not her, or that those items did not belong to her or her mother.

Regarding LP, he is just human. Full of strengths and weaknesses. He has been passionate about trying to do good here. I don't think that he brought the media into this - I think they were already there. People are very interested. Why wouldn't the media be there? It's news. I don't think we can blame him for that. I respect LP for at least trying to do something to bring this child home, one way or another.

I don't think the bag was planted. It was too far down for that. I am just going to sit tight and wait to hear what the real story is.

Perhaps LE will go visit Hawk's Hollow and check under all those old boards.

I have thought that at some point, Casey would come clean in an effort to avoid the death penalty. Maybe she thinks that without a body, they cannot give her the DP. Maybe she knows that there is no longer a body to find.

I know this - she does not act like a grieving mother in any way. If she knew that child was abducted, she would be plagued with visions of what might be happening. She would be beside herself with worry. I think that the tears we see are for her, for what has happened to her life because she was saddled with a motherhood she really didn't want. Like someone that's not sorry for robbing the store - just sorry that they got caught.

I just don't know what to think. I pray that it is her and that LE is just trying to get the media out of there or something, but I just don't know. :(

I was going to post, but you had already posted exactly what I was going to say.

I hope it is Caylee so she can be put to rest..
I cannot believe LE didn't take the toys saying there was no connection..HOW do they know..do they know every toy that little girl had. Her mother (use that word lossely) & gramma probably didn't each one.

Why didn't they take the items and try fro fingerprints on toys and bag

and LP has to take a poly for what? Cindy & George has been lying from day one and they don't do it..Geez
I hope Lenny refuses..

Too many people saw the shamrock so we will wait an see

Evidently, it's not Caylee.
LE specifically said what was found had nothing to do with Caylee.

Okay, maybe I haven't been around long enough to have the lay of the land in the Cayle forum, so if I've insulted someone or been rude, I apologize sincerely. Because I don't see anyone being rude on this thread, just having a discussion--so it must be me!

I read the JBR threads every now and then (so I know where you are coming from) and you guys over there can get away with much more than us here! :)

That isn't a complaint. I like both thread equally even though they are so different.

I remember when my daughter was 3, Polly Pocket dolls and accessories were her ultimate favorite. I never understood what the obsession was because I guess as a young girl I was a Barbie fan. I would always get her a new ensemble for Christmas or Birthdays only to find the little pieces all over the house and in my car. I have to admit that when cleaning I would simply throw all these little pieces away because to try and save every little doll and every little shoe, dress, etc. was just ridiculous. When I saw the bag containing the doll, my heart dropped because in my mind, this is what a little girl Caylee's age would have played with, as my daughter did. And yes it would have probably been in the car. I've always felt that this maybe where her body was dumped and it shocks me to think that LE passed it off as not related, regardless of the circumstances! My hope is that it was for media purposes but the fact that they left most of it, concerns me. And I noticed beads in the bag, like from a craft kit LP described. WTH?

I'm not sure what to think anymore but I don't think this was planted by padilla.. and this is why, it's the shamrock.. why would he be all freaked out about the shamrock only to make himself look stupid when it turned out to be gumby.. if he really wanted people to believe it was caylee and he put the toys in there then why didn't he put in a real shamrock object.. if he planted this he would no that the shamrock was gumby.. and also le might be upset because they don't want it made public that soon..maybe they are hoping they can find more body parts close to the bag they found.. they don't want to mess up anything with this case..they have worked to hard and too long to let anything screw it up now.. they are smarter then we think..

Even if the toys, etc don't pertain to Caylee, the LE (I would hope) still took the items because if not Caylee's case it could be someone else's missing child's toys.

febedallas, I read the same thing on my phone today and felt it was strange, didn't make sense.. I kind of feel the LE/FBI is doing testing also trying to hold off the media until something is conclusive..

Well I agree and I am so confused by the LP divers findings, the LE, the media coverage etc..., someone is doing something and that is so much better than sitting here waiting, wanting, someone to do something after 31 days and 4 months later. It seemed like a lifetime to me now that 5 months have gone by. So if Leo wants to get others to donate time and search for this sweetheart, go for it. As for the KF whatever, they need to check that out, I worked for a slime person who sold childrens products and he was snorting coke and was never around the office but was at the bars buying rounds and was the biggest liar as well as his associates, Needless to say, I saw a business go under. His greatist idea was to become a non profit. He saw himself in his own words in front of the whole staff "walking the streets dress as Ghandi, in sake of the children", but then again, he was a coke head and that day, I closed the business the next day.
I would personally check out anyone who I put my faith in to give money too. He gave me a full brochure to put $10K into his business after I found out he was a fake. $10K? He owed over $450K and made money on selling pencils and borders for classrooms? Oh we made 50 dollars profit on pencils that day. LOL Didn't last long as a business manager there. He couldn't make payroll again.

I have done a short bookkeeping of an expense for Tes to search and boy does it cost a lot. Where's the giving? I heard it was recieved, I know everyone did donate as much that they could, but why so much money? Someone charged their full fees? How sad to do that. The only thing I wanted for my birthday (nov 1) was to join TES. I hesitated and don't know why but didn't. For now everyone needs mula to continue. TES, LP for lunches (LoL), and now Murt's ustreme account or something is way over $1000. Whew! Help!

So many donated, so many even flew, drove to or had a short trip to the search area, many not fed, many over fed, so what costs that much? Sorry, I was a Purchasing agent/Buyer all my life. I lived near there and boy do I wish I was with the search teams too. What cost that much with people donating food, water, etc...bring you own also known as byob. What so many people did here and other sites was remarkable. We communicated what was
needed and when. Great job to all. If I were searching, I would bring something for backup. That's just me and I would be so happy that I had food and water.

This is such a sad case to be part of. Hope everyone can take the rest of what might become of this case and find something. I am getting exhausted and hope the infighting stops soon. Nite everyone! Peace.

I honestly am not sure what to think myself. I watched everything unfold today. I heard from those who were there at the river about what was found and saw the emotions comming from there today. Alot of things that happened there today really have me saying :waitasec: huh?

Respectfully snipped:

Regarding the "shamrock", Here's a transcripted statement from the lead diver:

"BOSINSKI: I was actually the initial diver who found the garbage bag, which was underneath the piece of concrete that had that little what we assumed to be a clover, a four-leafed clover. Come to find out once the FBI got here and forensics teams got here, they broke it apart and it came to be a small Gumby, Gumby magnet.

GRACE: But it was a child`s toy, but you`re saying it was in a garbage bag weighted down with a cement block?

BOSINSKI: Yes, ma`am. The garbage bag was ripped -- when I found it down underneath the silt, from what I could tell and by what I could feel, the garbage bag was partially closed. And as I pulled it up, I didn`t realize there was concrete in it. And as I got it up to the surface, I realized that there was actually something weighing in it, and I tried to do the best I could to preserve it. But in these type of conditions it`s extremely -- extremely hard to be able to control everything..."

What I gathered from this was that the "shamrock" was just a piece of Gumby sticking out of concrete. This just goes to show why preserving the chain of evidence is so important, and it boggles my mind why so many people would be able to get a look at it before LE did.

There is a pic of KC gnawing on a chicken wing while driving.

So, let me get this straight, CA is claiming that LP planted a bag of misc. toys, sticks, rocks, concrete pieces imbedded with Gumby magnets (huh?) and bricks? TM implies the same.

What purpose would this have? None.

The whole "planting" theory is delusional.

There were 2 crosses in the woods. One found in the first search of the area which was not taken by searchers and which LP found and photographed. Female BH said they looked like ones she saw in A's house. Later, beads were still at the bottom of the tree. A second cross was there for the jogger, Nicole and was "found" more recently. CA says LP planted the first one with items stolen from KC.

Again, to what end?

I was reading through pages and pages on the NG thread and recall a poster saying that police in unmarked vehicles were at the Anthony home last night and that they removed something in a brown paper bag.

Does anyone know if there is merit to this?

I have searched the net but can't find any references to it. If it's true, perhaps it's beads and such.

Anyone???

I hope that LP team finds more stuff today....:) go LP go LP

I just watched my local news and I wanted to clarify some things that people are saying that aren't true:

1- GA and CA were NOT at the site today...they were at their Kidfinder tent. All of the vultures...i mean News media were there to interview them and find out how they felt..CA actually gave a pretty good interview to one of the crews and told them that they were NOT going to the site because they are allowing LE to do their job and they would just be in the way...she also said that if LE tells them what they found is Caylee then they will do what they need to but until then everything is speculation, however I did notice in a quick scan that on a different interview she talked about planted evidence and such.

2- There was a blue bag found that was weighted down with bricks.

3- They showed a picture of a baggie of "toys" the toys were a polly pocket looking doll (like the happy meal kinds) a green plastic frog, some other plastic thing and i did NOT see a shamrock but heard several of the stations report that there was one. The toys did not look like dog/pet toys.

oh and just to let you all know I am NOT on the side of the A's I am just being "fair" in saying that the interview *I* saw on the news showed a more human and less "crazy" side of her BUT i do know there is another interview that she did that her more on the "crazy" side....jmo

Thank you for that (bolded). That`s what a credible forum should be about. (know any )

I dont know what to think. But I do know IMO LP didn't plant it. And I can say Im a little dissappointed In TM right now. I respect and admire TM but I dont support him saying what he is saying all over the news.Im sorry there is a time and a place for everything. TM upset with LP handle it in private. The more I hear lately the more I wonder if TM is drinking the koolaide:crazy:

from the live feed i was watching, it sure seemed like the "proper authorities" just walked up and started unceromoniously digging through the "find" as if they already knew it was not important. But how can that be? ANYTHING found could be evidence pertaining to SOME missing person or crime.
