Donate buttons on both sites work just fine (just tried them both)! The actual foundations, not so much. imo

I noticed the web page counter was under 500. And that counter moves up 1 number every time you change pages in the site. So way under a 100 people have been there. The public has not been deceived here.

Let's see. If we have a non-profit organization that collects donations for a specific purpose (let's say helping find missing kids) that has not used one cent for that specific purpose (again, helping find missing kids) but has helped the "founders" of that organization to not have to work a regular job in over 2 years would that not be considered a scam?

Kidfinders has not updated their website in quite a while. Are they still operating as they were? If someone clicked on their Donate Now button would they still accept the money from some unsuspecting soul? What exactly have they done to help find missing children? What has the boat been used for? Is the boat really even capable of doing what it is billed to do? I did notice that there are only 4 people listed as having positions on their board. The other positions are waiting to be filled. The Milsteads are of course proudly listed as President and Vice President. Link to the website for those wanting to take a look. http://kidfindersnetwork.org/

Now let's look at the Caylee Marie Anthony Foundation. Again the website has not been updated in a while however if some poor unsuspecting soul clicked on the Donate Now button would they be able to send their money to this foundation? What have they done with the donation money? I know, thanks to the website, that they have given Caylee Bears to a hospital in Ohio. I also know, again thanks to the website, that they have given Caylee Bears to the Trumball County Sheriff's Dept in Ohio. But other than that what have they done? There is no mailing address or email address listed on the website. There is also no listing of the board members on the website. According to the website this foundation was established in October of 2008. Link to the website for those that want to look for themselves. http://www.cayleemarieanthonyfoundation.net/index.html

Funny thing is that there is contact information on their website but you have to highlight that section of the web page because it is black text on a black background :waitasec:

This is what is on their contact page (http://www.cayleemarieanthonyfoundation.net/contact.html). You cannot see the text below "Mailing Address" and "Email Address" unless you select/highlight the text.

Cindy knows full well that the Caylee Marie Anthony Foundation website is still up for anyone and everyone to see as Cindy is the one that posted the paragraphs on the website. A quick click of the website would show her that the Kidfinders link is still on there and would be easy to remove. I doubt very seriously that Cindy has forgotten all about the Foundation website that she worked on so I do not give her a pass on the website not being updated since 2009. I know that if I did not have previous knowledge of a shady character in my life that I had a link for to promote that person's shady foundation and then I found out about the shady dealings that link would be gone in an instant even if it was a website that I had not updated for a year or more. But that's just me.

Based on Lippman statement the Caylee Marie Anthony Foundation is in addition to the new one and will remain active.

Snipped
grandparents’ rights. Mark Lippman, the couple’s attorney, told WFTV that the Anthonys plan to be the nonprofit’s officers and draw salaries because they are unable to work. Nguyen said the new nonprofit would be separate from the Caylee Marie Anthony Foundation, which will remain active.

Even if 1 trusting soul donated to that foundation then that person has been deceived. It really should not matter if it is 1 or 1,000,000. 1 is 1 to many IMO. Should we look the other way when a scam only affects a few people instead of a larger number? I personally don't think so. This foundation also accepted donations in person. Those people are not counted on the page counter but they also do count. Now we hear that the Anthony's are setting up a new foundation. One that will be accepting donations as well. One that will be targeting grandparents. I suppose if the new foundation has a low number of page counts that we should look the other way for that one as well.

Just make sure he gets a working phone number on the missing billboard for YOUR child. Couldn't even do THAT for Caylee. What possible help could he be? Helpful like he was to River Cruz??

is that true the phone # did not work on the billboard-Really-wow!!

What is even more scary is that it does not only include the uninformed and the weak minded. Various posters on here, and I respect their opinions, are not uninformed nor are they weak minded, far from that, but they still fall for the CA/GA propaganda. And buy into their carefully crafted "poor pitiful me" acting with hook, line and sinker. Based on that, their money machine of greed could be humming along just dandy.

I have never seen the A's put on a poor pitiful me act.

I will continue to doubt how much money George&Cindy are raking in as long as THEY are the ones counting the money.
They can put any amount on those forms, doesn't make it true.
They are known to be unaquainted with the truth, untrustworthy and imo they have no business being trusted with other people's money.
I'd like to know how they managed to buy that $40,000 new Jeep when they just recouperated from having their house foreclosed upon.
They both seem allergic to work, maybe that is their disability?

Why is it anyone's business but the A's how they afford anything?

Yep, it is just sad how easy folks can be conned into forking over their bucks to a not worthy cause. And it has nothing to do with being dumb, highly intelligent people fall for it too. Having a compassionate nature makes you a target.

One the funny side why would anybody trust an org. started in 2006 that has a picture (which looks from the 1950's) of a nameless founder. :banghead:

From Nov. 2008:

George Anthony To Become Kid Finders Spokesman

George Anthony said he plans to act as a spokesman for the group helping him search for his missing granddaughter, Caylee Anthony.

Anthony said he wants to help the Kid Finders Network get established and grow their organization in Orlando.

Kid Finders has been the subject of some controversy lately. Some have called in to question just how many missing children Kid Finders has actually found.

At the group's headquarters Wednesday, Anthony said the organization has been helpful to his family since the day after Caylee was reported missing. Anthony said he is more than willing to become a spokesman for the group. He has no doubts about their motives or sincerity.

"I'll be a spokesman for them. I'm willing to make their organization grow and help the 14 kids my granddaughter included but other kids," said George Anthony.

A spokeswoman for Kid Finders has taken issue with recent reports that they have not actually found a missing child. She said they do things to raise awareness like print up fliers and T-shirts and billboards. She said that it is very possible that their efforts have helped find missing children.

So, the controversy in this article is that many had issue that they have not found any missing children.
Is this what GA knew about? If so, I can see him wanting to help them anyway.

He says they helped the Anthony's. I guess they showed them a lot of support.

So again, can you fault GA and CA for wanting to help an organization they feel is helpful?

The Milsteads certainly did help the Anthonys, in many ways......none of them good. They taught them how simple it is to create a foundation and live off of it. The Milsteads are thugs, the Anthonys love them. Why is that?

I noticed the web page counter was under 500. And that counter moves up 1 number every time you change pages in the site. So way under a 100 people have been there. The public has not been deceived here.

They are always resetting that counter. I can remember it being over 4,000 hits and then the next day it was reset back to zero.

Why is it anyone's business but the A's how they afford anything?

It is everybody's business because they are asking the public for money, that's why. If they were working, dong an honest days work I could give a flying fig if they bought 10 new Jeeps.
When they start hawking charities and refuse to work then it becomes the public's business.

And THIS is what they are backing:

http://www.orlandosentinel.com

Yep, sounds REAL tasteful... *GAG*

They guy is a shonky doctor with an online degree that he got from the comfort of his own home in 2 1/2 hours and no license to practice. Also they haven't actually purchased the block OR got the permits or rezoning. Guess this is what Lippman needs to look into. (read - the A's might not make any money out this...)

I cant get the picture of this horrendous monstrosity out of my mind... WHAT ARE THEY THINKING INDEED!

Two hundred thousand dollars is a lot of money. Why not something small and tasteful? It doesn't have to elaborate. Cost of maintenance should be a factor too. What sort of maintenance is required and who will do it should be considered.

They took two crosses and put them in their car. There was nothing about destroying teddy bears and trashing the memorial, as was stated as fact here.

At the time this all happened, there were several articles in the local media about the memorial being tampered with and stuffed animals being destroyed.

I was just reading old articles about this today. Gotta go back and search the links. But I clearly remember CA stating she threw away stuffed animals because they smelled like cigarettes.

Well, hmmm....they're public figures taking/have taken/asking for the public's money? :bullseye:

Running a foundation does not open someone's personal finances to the public. Would you ask Tim Miller how he affords his home or vehicle?

Check Dennis Milstead's criminal record, it's very easy to find.
His name takes up a great deal of space on the civil dockets as well.

I remember reading those criminal records and if I remember correctly Dennis Milstead had arrests in more than one county. I don't remember now which counties, but it wasn't Orange. He had several arrests for impersonating a police officer. But his record was long - many civil and criminal cases. At the time the Anthonys were involved with them (are they still involved with them?) Dennis and Sherry Milstead's home was being foreclosed. I suspect they were living off the Anthony's to some extent at that point.

I would classify Cindy's performance during the trial a "poor, pitiful me" act but that's me. After all, she has a shrine for Caylee in their home, if it is still there and wasn't just for show for the media that interviewed them. Caylee's room was still in tact, fingerprints still on the mirror, death certificate placed out where it can be seen when they walk by, photos still on the walls and shelves of Caylee.......but one photo on the monitor during her testimony and she has to ask for it to be taken down because it is to hard to look at. Something about that just doesn't add up. Hmmm, what could it be?
