bobby's sister and nephews definitely made some bold claims on dr. drew, but despite the obvious reasons to take their words with caution, i found them believable.

for unknown reasons, i've just not gotten a good vibe from wh's manager pat. it's almost like, looking at the situation from the day of the death until now, patricia is the one who stepped from the shadows to the spotlight. there is more beneath the surface with that woman. i just feel it in my gut.

You are not alone, doubt. I've had the same gut feeling, but my husband's is even more pronounced even though he has not followed the case news to the extent I have.

Also to note: Pat first stepped-out of the shadows on the Thursday night party, 2 days before Whitney passed. Ppl were asking, "Who is that woman?", at the time those photos were initially published.

(Nice to see you back on the thread...hope to read more from you!)

See, I had the opposite gut feeling. I thought Patricia seemed like a nice, sincere, grounded person who helped keep Whitney in line. In the pictures from the party, she seemed like she was there to protect Whitney and make sure she made it home (hotel) okay. So I was kind of shocked by what I heard Leola Brown saying because that's not the impression I got of Pat at all. But then I can't say I'm always the best judge of character so I could be totally wrong, and I don't think the Brown family would be on TV saying things that were totally false or that they couldn't defend/backup, unless they just felt like being sued. So there must be something to the accusations. Also, I did like that her advice to Bobbi K was to trust Bobby, herself, or Cissy. I mean, if she hadn't mentioned Cissy I would have thought this was just a Brown family campaign to get Bobbi K on their side and away from the Houstons.

I still don't know that Bobbi K should trust her father, though...

My doubts about Patricia increased when I saw videos of Gary's first wife Monique, and listened to her story (perhaps read more between the lines). Leolah's comments, coupled with my husband's reaction, added fuel.

I can't defend my position beyond saying something doesn't feel right about her (or Gary, for that matter).

I thought Monique came across as really sensible and credible. Like she said, it was strange that they talked like having a drink was no big deal. Any addict knows a drug is a drug is a drug and if you are sober you don't touch ANY drug, including alcohol.

They also mentioned having a casino party New Year's Eve and Whitney being there. I wondered when I heard that if the party included alcohol.

Monique brought up Gary's addiction, which I didn't know about. I was surprised there wasn't more media coverage about Monique after her TV appearance. I thought she made perfect sense and was a voice of reason in all this.

I find it interesting that Michael Houston, Whitney's full blood brother, has not spoken-out, nor has his wife Joanne who was first named as Trustee (then her husband added later) in Whitney's trust docs...iirc.

Gary Houston is Whitney's half-brother, born Gary Garland. Did John Houston adopt him, thus the surname change, or ???

I am glad that Michael and Joanne have not spoken-out, but mention of them in the press has been nil. Why?

"Many people close to the family are pointing fingers at Whitney Houston’s best friend and sister-n-law, Pat Houston, who had access to the star’s body and has reportedly inked at least one deal to profit from Houston’s death."

i heard or read that patricia houston first entered the scene looking for a music career and ended up as wh's manager when that did not pan out. i cannot recall where i heard/read it but if true, it only adds to my feeling that she may well be the most deceptive of the lot. anymore i think bobbi kristina would do well to get away from everybody she has the misfortune of being related to. i just can't think of a single one who strikes me as truly concerned for only her welfare. perhaps michael and joanne are different?

Came across this article today knowing it was an open question.

Whitney Houston Cocaine: Raffles Van Exel Admits To Removing Evidence From Singer's Hotel Room

According to a translation of Dutch newspaper The Telegraph, a man named Raffles van Exel came forward four days after Houston's death, admitting that he cleaned Houston's hotel room -- although he has not revealed what exactly he removed from the scene.

"The room had to be emptied," Van Exel, who calls himself a "highly respected entertainment consultant," told The Telegraph.

My God, who writes the publications cited in these links? Totally worse than poor use of the language; misspellings, incorrect tenses all over the place. Sorry, but it just drives me crazy. They need to hire someone who knows how to write.

agree. horribly written.

today i read that her mother is going to be on a local news station monday. she says she did everything she could and has no guilt over her daughter's death.

I think the room was probably cleaned of the cocaine residue. Who did it? I have no clue, but I know it's more than possible it happened, it's probable. Someone trying to protect Whitney's reputation, probably.

I find the whole thing just sad. She was an addict, I don't ever think she really gave up using cocaine, maybe cut down a lot, but never really quit.

I think however, there should be an investigation on where she got the cocaine, and have the person charged. Kind of like the John Belushi case.

I really felt once she and Bobby divorced, she really stood a good chance at a comeback. In a lot of ways, I think they were poisonous to each other. They fed each others need for drama and fought like cats and dogs, then made up by using drugs. I just never understood what she seen in him, but she chose him, so apparently she seen something there. He may have loved Whitney, but he certainly didn't have her best interests at heart. I just hope he can get his life straightened out for the sake of Bobbi Kristina and his other children. Bobbi Kris may not want anything to do with him now, but she may in the future.

As for Cissy Houston, I get that she is grieving, but she really should stay off of TV for awhile. And NOT blame everyone and their pet cat for what happened to her daughter. The responsibility ultimately lies with Whitney for using drugs, but someone should be accountable for selling them or giving them to her.

JMO, MOO, IMO, and all other disclaimers.

tezi, yes, just so SAD! Today I was listening to some great music, then started counting among the vocalists so many whose memories will always be at the very least footnoted with their drug use and eventual deaths, if not both spoken in the same sentence, despite their stellar performances. My husband and I added a few more to the list who are still living but certainly could have gone that way, or might yet.

ITA, the room was 'sanitized', and any 'guilty suspects' got the heck out of Dodge.

I also pretty much agree with your assessment of the marriage but could expand further. Bottom line, Not Good for each other, and together they were worse than either might have been alone or with another partner.

Saw a headline somewhere yesterday or the day before, about Bobby being arrested for a DUI. Not sure it it is true cuz I didn't click it, but the news would not surprise me.

I hope their child Krissi finds her way, somehow. Some might think money should make it easy for her, but I also know I am not alone in thinking quite the contrary.

Hopefully, the BHPD Death Investigation will lead to someone responsible for supplying. In any event, I look forward to its release.

Bobbi Kristina Brown will be making her acting debut in Tyler Perry’s TBS sitcom “For Better or Worse,” the Daily News reported.

...

Bobbi Kristina will play a recurring role in the sitcom, her first major role as an actress.

just finished reading the full and final autopsy report.

so disturbing. below are the parts that stood out to me.

she was face-down in tub. water was described as ''extremely hot.''

spoon with a ''white crystal-like substance'' was on bathroom counter. also, some ''white powdery substance'' was on counter and also on a portable mirror. there was a rolled up piece of paper there, also.

an open bottle of champagne was in main room, several open beers, a dozen prescription bottles, including 3 empty bottles of xanax. there were loose pills in the room.

she had a burn mark, and several abrasions on face, arms and legs. she had a perforated nasal septum....meaning, a hole in her nose from coke use.

a ''bloody purge'' was coming from her nose when the coroner arrived.

she had a 60% blockage in one of her arteries, and mild emphysema.

i hope i have gotten it all right. this was just from memory as i wasn't certain everyone wanted to actually read the whole report.

needless to say, it made an already sad situation even more heartbreaking.

I wonder what the skin slippage that is notated on the chart indicates? I've only seen it in reference to decomp. TIA for anyone that knows.

Thanks, doubt...and Hello all,

I think you got it all right. I too read thru the entire report and felt just so terribly sad afterwards. Sharing a few of my thoughts...

It appears she was submerged in the tub for close to an hour and there was lots of water both on the bathroom floor and extending into the adjacent room. Seems she may have died with the hot water running somewhat, thus the high water temp and her scald burn. Her assistant or her bodyguard could have closed the faucet when they removed her from the tub, imo.

I'd have to re-read the voluminous report to be certain, but I believe no alcohol was found in her system.

I am thinking that the bloody purge may be a part of the death process under such circumstances. Again, I need to re-read but it is mentioned elsewhere in the report.

The antemortem abrasions (contusion too, I believe) seem to suggest she had fallen, and I suppose that is how she ended-up face-down.

I was surprised at her ht/wt stats (irrelevant, I realize). For some reason, I had always thought she was taller.

Overall, her condition was quite good for a woman of 48 years, except the heart issues and evidence of acute and chronic cocaine use.

I am left to wonder, had she experienced this heart event when NOT in the tub, might she have survived.

There are many 'news' reports which highlight the findings but I myself prefer to read the actual report first.

RIP, Whitney

ETA: The more I think about it, I suspect she had just gotten in the tub when she suffered the 'heart attack' and fell...or she might have fallen IN to the tub as she was getting it ready. The water had been turned-on and continued filling the tub, eventually overflowing it. I base this thought on the length of time she was reportedly in the water and also on the time her assistant had run errands, leaving Whitney alone.

Hi Kat! I wondered the same thing. It appears that it was from decomp, based on citations to it further down in the report.

The only thing (unfortunately) that surprised me about the findings was that she had a full arch maxillary dental prosthesis supported by dental implants.

I wonder why? I remember her when she was so young and I've seen pictures of her as a teen model. Beautiful smile.

I know it sounds like a silly thing but I was really quite surprised. I'm not sure why.

But unfortunately I wasn't surprised by the drugs found in her system. RIP sweetie.

Some drug addictions will rot teeth in a snap... I remember a long time ago one of the tabloid papers reporting that she had ended up with false teeth due to heavy drug use. I didn't believe it, at the time, but the autopsy pretty much confirms that she obviously had some serious oral issues with her teeth.

What really got me: seeing the word "emphysema"... I don't know why, but it made me sad reading that. Her voice... she was so lost in her destructive lifestyle that she didn't even care enough to try to take care of herself and protect her gorgeous vocals. :(

I read an article last year that WH had been diagnosed emphysema & believed it because I had just been diagnosed with it myself at age 45 which I thought was young. I do not consider myself to be a heavy smoker & I do not use drugs. I thought only people like in their 60's & on up got emphysema. I also read that Amy Winehouse at age 27 had emphysema.
