I am still early in this thread but what infuriates me is that I believe the Defense found a stereotypical "big black guy with a scary record and a scary picture" and threw him right under the bus tires. I live in the south* and there is a sad history here of blaming a minority for whatever crime was done or not done and killing him for it. They are using this man simply because they know that some folks will see him and say "Ooooo, he so scary. I bet he did it." As a minority himself, JB should never have agreed to this farce! As a southerner, CM should hang his head in shame. And this admittedly felonious gentleman needs to sue for defamation.

I had a choice tonight, either tune in and watch those crazy coupon clippers who shop and try to buy the most food for the least amount of money and then store it in their panty till it is out of date, or visit Websleuths. I'm glad I came here, this has been much more humorous and no one had to clip one coupon or make a fool of themselves at the grocery store check out.

I believe that was the point of it and I believe the defense knows this whole thing is bogus. I think this was a strategic leak by the defense to get George riled up before he takes the stand and make it more likely that he will lose his temper during questioning and show it to the jury. They have had George's phone records for almost 3 years now, if their people haven't checked them out until now and they are trying to pin this on him then they are more stupid than I thought.

ETA: and the only reason they are claiming to have just now come across this information is to have an excuse why they haven't deposed him yet. Then they can claim they didn't know it was a mistake in the database. Damage will already be done, VT's face and record are all over, George's image (in their minds) is tarnished in the public eye and he is REALLY TICKED when he comes into court.

My guess is the DT is going to put up as many alternate theories as they can to create reasonable doubt. It's their only chance! Drowning, sexual abuse, ex-con kidnapper called 24 hours before child is reported missing (although not sure how they tie that in the to previous 31 days?), suspicious meter reader visiting site of remains several times, etc. They just need create enough doubt....

However they have already tied themselves to the drowning incident...you can't have other options without losing the jury ---- They were the first to come up with the exact date of death and everything else...then they say the SA throws things to see what sticks and what doesn't....as I've stated before---I feel for the taxpayers of Flordia...they are paying for this, along with the investigative hours.....

I also think that the DT is really really mad that this guy didn't let their guy in & chat......I pity anyone on that list....any bad thing they have done will come forth front and center...shameful behavior---If this is what "officers of the court" are like...wellllllllllllll :truce:

I am pretty sure this was done with ICA blessings. Thank God WS put out the right info and alerted the lawyers and TH's.. Lippman said this was being looked into as he spoke, so I assume that GA was also alerted and hopefully his attorney has told him not to react. JB and team will be pzzd at idiot bloggers once again. IMO it should be all taken care of by time GA is on the stand. JB and team has a big thwart coming there way.

I haven't yet read this thread's overnight postings so don't know if this was mentioned previously, but in defense of Vadir Thompson....

I read the link provided upstream of appeal paperwork concerning his "kidnapping conviction" and probation violation of repeated contact with his "victim".

The defense....ala media.....is suggesting that George may have contacted this "convicted kidnapper" for assistance in covering up Caylee's death....as if he has "previous experience" in grabbing a random victim and "stealing" them...

IF you read those Appeal documents, it is very clear regarding WHAT this conviction was....it involved Vadir and a "lady friend".

Vadir was arrested on probation violation after it was discovered that he was repeatedly contacting and visiting with the victim which was against his probation....court ordered them NO CONTACT during probation of 30 years....

But Vadir testified to judge that the woman was also calling him and visiting with him...

His "kidnapping" CLEARLY appears to be a domestic situation involving a girlfriend/wife who later claimed he held her against her will....after he got out of jail, the two just couldn't leave each other alone...

Remember the story ex-wfe Jill K told in her interview about how Kronk "kidnapped" her? Kronk was also apparently originally charged with kidnapping but all charges were dropped?

Just felt I needed to mention this as this Vadir is being wrongly portrayed as this big bad man who ran out and snatched someone and kidnapped them...if he did it once, why not again if GA $$ was good enough and this is NOT THE CASE!

I am sitting on needles waiting for court to convene and hear Jose argue this motion to the judge, but the reality will probably be that court opens, HHJP will bring up motion and Baez will then state "the defense withdraws the motion"...very ANTI-CLIMATIC!

This is exactly what I feared would occur...we already have the DT alleging some suspicious activity with what many believe to be your stereo typical criminal; with now, stereo-typical slang as to how this person would speak / respond.

I have no idea if this person uses broken English because I haven't heard him speak before. I'm assuming you have, since no one can predict a person's dialect, sentence structure or word usage from a picture...IMO.

There is dialect between this man and the court (judge) in the linked Appeals case provided earlier in this thread.

It does not appear he uses broken English, nor is foreign, based on his written testimony.

From what I read, he speaks with more of an "ebonics" type grammar...and if I may say so myself, has a little trouble with answering questions honestly (ala KC) based on his telling the judge "I only called her once..." "I only called her twice"...."She ain't never been to my house"...."she been at my house a couple of times and stayed overnight"...
