JB might make this kind of blunder but I would expect CM to make sure the evidence supports his contention before attempting to add him on the witness list at this late juncture.

I just read the criminal record for V. Thompson in todays current news thread.

This guy should still be in prison in my opinion. This guy is right up Baez's alley in my opinion.

I hope I don't get into trouble for saying this but I have to wonder what the defense gave to V. Thompson in exchange for whatever he is compelled to say.

He has refused to speak with the defense and called LE on them so I wouldn't say he is a willing witness.

Ok all joking aside if the DT actually calls this guy to the stand or they try to insinuate to another witness regarding this alleged communication they will lose ALL credibility with the jury. It will go out the flipping window for sure, if it hasn't already.

I thought George had the right number, Vasco Thompson's number was added to a database incorrectly. George called work and work responded to him, he had no knowledge of Vasco or Vasco's real number. The investigator obviously had to justify his money and this is what he came up with, sucks to be the defense if they run with this one. This info is 3 years old already...sheesh!!

What they will try to do is the old smoke and mirrors trick on the Jury. I have faith in the SA.

It can't get much worse. They are so embarrassing!!!! They can't be serious thinking anyone is going to buy this and they are not going to be proven wrong in about 3 seconds. JP will never allow this witness when he finds out the truth of this matter.

Although, maybe the defense doesn't care and is just hoping that by putting this "story" out to the media (you know it was Jose!!) that a jury members loved ones will spill this to them and hope to create reasonable doubt such as "Oh my gosh, the news said George called a kidnapper. Why aren't they letting you hear that evidence?". I know family isn't supposed to talk to the jury about anything but the defense is probably just hoping they will. The thing they didn't count on is that Websleuths has already thwarted them and hopefully KB or some other news station will report what's really going on here.
