The whole "spokesman" thing is bizarre imo,
I can understand that they may have needed a spokesperson in the early days but in the past couple of years, why would they need a spokesperson?
Is it too much for them to make a personal statement every so often, do they really need Clarence Mitchell to be trotted out to say they sympathise with April Jones parents or that they are releasing a new book, is it that difficult for them to personally do that?

I would suggest that they have a spokesperson in place to manage what is said, for what reason? only they know.

The moment the story changed for me, was the news that Gerry McCann was planning a "big event" that would have featured people like Elton John, this was in the first few weeks of Madeleine going missing (3rd June 2007 to be exact), who would be even thinking like that at that time, surely as Parents they would have been hoping and praying that Madeleine would be found the next day, not planning for months ahead to keep the profile up, a major faux pas from my way of thinking.

And the fund pays for this snakeoilsalesman, sorry, spokesman as if spinning and lying will help find their child its morally reprehensible

Everything they've ever said or done has been morally reprehensible, from the first time they left their babies alone and defenceless, through to criticising the police, refusing to be interviewed, instigating law suit after law suit on anyone who is trying to share information about the events of that night, and planning to profit financially from their daughter's loss.

My opinion only of course.

If the McCann were as desperate as they claim to get their daughter back, the obvious way to do it would be to cooperate with the investigation at the time.

They did not.

Andy Redmond is on record as saying the "best opportunity for finding out what happened" is his review.

How farcical. The best opportunity was the original investigation, surely. Which was shut down due to lack of cooperation from the Tapas 9.

No other reason.

They may still have her page on there, but they have dropped her (very quietly) as an Ambassador. You know that role she was boasting about on her own website, only a couple of months ago...?

I have no idea why she is not on the other page as an ambassador - maybe she is a different ambassador maybe they are getting round to it maybe she wants to have a different role - tmor hands on

But to say in original post that the site has dropped her like a hot stone ( your words ) is just not true

She is posted on the FRONT Page and her bio as above states welcome to NEW AMBASSADOR
