With all of these writings, the defense is doing a decent job in painting the victim as an unlikeable fellow. The term blowhard comes to mind.

Me too. And I think she's really enjoying this. She may be soft-spoken, but she's not shy and she enjoys the spotlight.

On CourtTV they just said they can't believe how much she reminds them of Jodi Arias.
 
Just now trying to catch up. I am listening to Court TV and some of the clips. She sounds like she is such a fake, but it could just be a generation thing. idk and jmo.

I wasn't able to see pt 1 live but will sum it after this. Here is Pt 2 so far(apologies in advance for grammar/typos):

Starting from leaving Alex's house.
They were in her car and she was driving. They did not have any particular destination in mind. EM claims she wasn't paying attention to where they were driving. They were talking bout feelings towards their relationship
alex broght up how he felt about EM and jason and EM breaking up with alex. he seemed frustrated. em says she felt anxious and uneasy. as a result she asked alex if he could drive for awhile, they parked and switched places. em doesnt know where. they continued to talk, she didnt notice where he was going. alex was talking about what he thought of em continuing to see jason. at som point h stoppd the car and he sat there from a moment and pulled off of the paved road. he went up the muddy road and then they got stuck. the gate was open. they got stuck n the mud the first time. they planned to get out and walk around. when he got the car stuck em said she can take over. so they switched again. she got the car unstuck and alex was in the passenger seat. she manoeuvred the car onto grass. she was unable to get it unstuck. alex did not get out to help (she hesitated). she looked for something in her car to wedge under the tires. she looked in the trunk, didn't find anything. she specifically didnt want to ruin her tent. she took out a blanket from the backseat and set it on the ground and left the backseat door open. the pillow fell to the ground from the blanket. Alex 'stepped back' and let her continue searching.

She did not consciously know there were knives in th trunk. she explains that they were there fom various moves etc. one knife jason gave her, the other was a steak knife. she did not take those out. she did not opn the center console. alex got out of the car. when em was moving her paintings in the backseat sge was unaware of where alex was. she did notice the military trailer. she went over to the trailer to see if she could find something to help them. she sat on the trailer hitch to think. alex open and closed the door behind her. he came up to her from behind - she could feel and hear him. he wrapped his arms around her and embraced her. she said nothing but tensed. it felt awkward.

em did not have a working phone with her. alex did. she never asked him to call a tow. he did offer but she said she could handle it. she didnt want to get her car towed because of the cost. he let her go and suggest that she got lay down or look around in the car as she was doing breathing exercises to calm down. she walked back to the car and crawled into the back seat from the driver's side. alex crawled into the backseat. em is on her back, alex crawled on top of her and straddled her. he said ezra is beautiful, ezra is my shining sun, ezra is handsome etc. he had never really spoken to her like that. (she is speculating a lot through language of feeling. judge asks to have it stricken). he took off her glasses. she is nearly blind without them. he said he deserved this, she betrayed him. he took her scarf and blindfolded her. she can feel him touching her clothes. (she hesitates and looks for words) she hadnt thought of telling him to stop.

he begins kissing her. she pulls away. she felt him pull on her sweater and she felt him open it. she took off the scarf and could see he was cutting the sweater. she said to stop. she freezes and he is cutting her shirt off. she doesn't know what to do. she can feel the knife cutting into her skin. she could see the knife in his hand. she had not taken that knife out while digging around the car. she noted the center console was open and her wallet was out of it. he cuts through her pants starting below the button. he can cut through her tights as well on the inner thigh. the knife was grazing her skin all over the inner thighs. she thinks he is going to do what he wants. she was terrified. she is afaid he is going to kill her/thne kill himself/ her voice is wavering. She pulls her leg up to shield herself, he punctures her thigh. she is gripping the seat and trying to move. she takes her free hand and bats at the knife and is being cut. her leg is between his leg so she knees him in the groin. he drops the knife and she grabs it and drops into the footwell she cant get out and so she stabbed him. she facing the back window with alex between her and the door. she repeats the anywhere and everywhere quote. she has no memory of the order she stabbed him. she can remember him grabbing her by the throat and pressed her against the back of the drivers seat. he grabbed her hair and pulled her face to him. shes not trying to kill him she is trying to get out and get away. he wouldn't let her out or let go of her.she stabbed him in the side of the head. he then got out of the car. she gets out, alex is standing by the green trailer.

he said he needed help to go to the bathroom. she approached him. she felt disconnected. she wanted to help him. he grabbed her again and she thinks hes going to kill me. she stabbed him in the back (theyre embracing) to make him let her go. he took his coat off and then layed down on it. one of her boots had come off. he was talking to himself. nonsensical. 'he kept saying...hes been waiting for this for so long.' she decides she needs to go. she feels dizzy and faint like she was in a tunnel. alex wasnt talking anymore at that point. alex found her glasses in the car. then everything became clear. she sounds emotional. no tears. she says she was overcome with emotion. she doesnt know why she carved boy in her arm. her other boot is off now. alex is still laing on his coat and still had his shoes on. she makes her way down the road.

why is her testimony different than her le satement?
shes had time to process it. when speaking to prock she was emotional . the trauma was hitting her in fragments then.
her eyes rove or she looks up and her right. she tries to sound emotonal when speaking of the old man when mentioning he got her a blanket. she recalls dropping and breaking the phone. the knife she just dropped. she does not remember telling the man her name was monica karlen.
she speaks of her bad car accident from prior to this incident. when she woke up and asked about the horse and gave the name monica then. jason was there and was the one that old her she said that. judge asks for that to be stricken for hearsay.
she doesnt remember speaking to polcie or going to the hospital, and only remembers bits and pieces of being there. when she wss taking a shower that night the soap stung her hand and she saw it was cut and everything came flooding back. she has a little memory of speaking to prock but rmembers it as one interview. she did not tell him about alex because she was overwhelmed and terrified and didnt know what to do. she thought alex was dead at that point. she knew when she cut boy in her arm and ran from the car. when asked why she lied about who cut her arm, she said he wouldnt belive why she did it (to wake herself up - remember earlier she said she didnt know why she did it). she admits she told him everything after they tld her they found her car. she was still hesitant to tell him about her carving the word herself because she didnt want to be blamed for alex.
the night before this.she had a talk with her father. she is getting emotional for real now. 'life starts now' was the topic of the talk. when she went to see alex, she hoped they could still be friends.
