Ariela has been mentioned on the other thread, but no mention that she has been submitted.

I would think that being from Milwaukee, she would have already been checked, but I wouldn't assume that to be true.

She is a little heavy compared to the UID, but she could have lost weight after running away. If so, she would have needed to shop for new clothes, as the clothing was sized for a petite girl, and would probably not fit a 150 lb girl.

Here is one that I just stumbled upon that reminded me of Fond du Lac Jane Doe. I don't recall that Kateri Marie Mishow has been mentioned yet as a possible for FDLJD.

The ethnicity fits. Height is within an inch. The geography is pretty good. Timeframe is a little over a year, but OK if she is a runaway. I don't think the Tweety tattoo would be still there given the decomposition. And I don't think FDLJD's weight estimate is accurate given the decomposition. 100 lbs qualifies as "petite".

She is slightly too old but not that far off. She looks like the feminine "girly-girl" type who would wear FDLJD's clothes (especially to show off Tweety on the back of her shoulder). No mention of whether she walked with a strange gait.

Does anyone buy this as a possible? ... Or does anyone recall if she was discussed as a possible? I checked a few of the threads on FDLJD and couldn't find her name.

That looks good to me, Carl. I don't recall seeing that name mentioned, either.

I just contacted Detective Cameron McGee of the FDL Sheriff's office to find out if Kateri Mishow had yet been submitted as a possible. He did not have the exclusions list in front of him at the time, so he asked me to send him an e-mail to submit the case. Here is my e-mail:

Mr. McGee:

I am writing in regards to your case involving the skeletal remains of an unidentified female, possibly with American Indian ancestry, found on November 23, 2008 in Fond Du Lac County (See link)

http://www.doenetwork.org/hot/hotcase1764.html

Browsing through missing persons in the Charley Project website, I came across this profile that reminded me of this Jane Doe

Kateri Marie Mishow

http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/m/mishow_kateri.html

• Kateri’s Native American ethnicity fits the description of Jane Doe
• Kateri’s height (5’2”) is within the estimated height range.
• Kateri’s age is at the high end of Jane Doe’s age estimates.
• Kateri’s weight (i.e., 100 lbs), while somewhat below the weight estimates based on skeletal remains, qualifies as "petite".
• Kateri is from Minneapolis (about 300 miles from Fond Du Lac WI).
• The circumstances of Kateri’s disappearance are not mentioned, so in is unclear if the nearly 1 ½ year time frame would be inconsistent.
• Kateri had tattoos at the back of her shoulders. Jane Doe’s shoulder-less blouse would be appropriate to someone who wished to display her tattoos.
• There is no mention of whether or not Kateri walked “knock-kneed” or “pigeon toed”.
• There is no mention of whether Kateri’s DNA profile is in CODIS.

In Websleuths.com, an online bulletin board dedicated to solving missing persons cases, members have discussed the various missing persons submitted to law enforcement as possible matches. Browsing through this website, I couldn't find Ms. Mishow’s name among the possible matches mentioned.

I ask that you look into this woman as a possible match

I just received a call from Detective McGee. Kateri Mishow was ruled out on dentals.

Carl,

Did Detective McGee happen to say if he had a list of ruleouts?

I know a few people on this thread said about ARIELA MALDONADO

http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/m/maldonado_ariela.html

http://www.doenetwork.org/hot/hotcase1764.html

The noses look a little different..

Age height fit... the weight is estimated. Did anyone send her in? Ariela is from Wisconsin, I would think she would have been compared???

Yes, he is going to send me the exclusions list, but wants to make sure that it is OK to release it to the public before doing so.

I will post it if/when he sends it to me.

Carl,

I hope he sends you a list of rule outs so we can narrow the field on all these girls that were brought up in this thread...

It's amazing how many of these names are not listed in NAMUS, Doe, or Charley.

On Thursday, I submitted the following to FDL LE as a possible match for this doe:

Lisa Parker
Chicago, IL
DOB 12-02-90
5'1"
110 lbs.
missing since 4-15-07

National Center for Missing & Exploited Children
NCMC1069921

http://www.missingkids.com/missingk...NCMC&seqNum=1&caseLang=en_US&searchLang=en_US

(Couldn't get link to work so had to copy & paste)

Endangered runaway in the company of a male companion and could still be in local area

Missing from northwest side of Chicago which isn't that far from where the doe was found

Age, height, weight are all spot on. Distance from northwest side of Chicago to where doe was found is very doable. Time frame is very possible. Lisa is not on list of rule outs. Personally, I think she could have some East Indian in her genes.

Nothing was reported in the Chicago area news media until July, 2009, which is over two years since Lisa went missing. I'm not sure if this was when Lisa was first reported missing or if police did not put Lisa's information out to the public until that time. I'm thinking she may not have been put into the national data base until July, 2009. If so, her information would not have been available when this doe was discovered.

I tried to post the picture but couldn't get it to work. Would be great if someone could do it for me.

Excellent possible - great find, CJ.

It looks like she has crooked front teeth, so FDL authorities should fairly quickly have an idea of whether this is a good lead.

Oh, she really does look like the UID. *fingers crossed*

Thanks to carbuff and carl for posting the pictures for me.

Here are three more possibles that are not on the exclusion list. Each of them have some weaknesses, but I am putting them out there to see if anyone wants to make a case for any of them.:

Maria Rosita Trejo
http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/t/trejo_maria.html
(Her chin looks a little too broad.)

Diana Mazariegos

(Braces on teeth at time of disappearance, not on UID)

Cassandra Lee Flores

(Jawline and chin are a little too narrow)

Except for the braces, Diana looks like an excellent candidate. Facial resemblance is very close, especially through the eyes and nose -- and that wide spacing between nose and upper lip. Her hair is the same streaky brown/blonde. No indication that she was killed at the time she disappeared, so might well have traveled. She'd have been 17 at the time the UID was left in the woods, so age, height, and weight are all within range. Two years is plenty of time to have braces removed. She was wearing a black top and jeans when she disappeared, so she wears the same kind of clothing the UID was found in.

I also thought the same about Diana Mazariegos...just wondering about the braces...

Carl,

Are you going to submit Diana... I think you should!!

I called Detective McGee about Diana Mazariegos. I told him about the braces on the teeth, and he said he was nearly certain that FDLJD never wore braces.

But he asked me to e-mail him the link to the Charley page, and he will look into it anyway.

I also forwarded him the link to Maria Trejo.
