"There may have been some restraints on her" listening to a replay of a Sgt with the Madison police dept...he said that it was a person in an office building that called.....who knows what we'll be told next...he's not comfortable with classifying it as anything other than a missing person's report...now doesn't that say something!

looking for a skinny white male, 6 feet tall..dirty clothes, black baseball cap.

They can't link her previous assault with this one.

Fox reports she was walking with the man when she was spotted.. ???
(Jovin I'll keep it on FOX since you don't get that and see if we learn anything different. :) )
Fox chatter:
Talking about the massive manhunt, so what she said was credible to police, sniffing dogs are bearing her out, they're tightening the noose till they see the guy.

Circumstances are strange, in light of the earlier reported attack in which she was not sexually assaulted or robbed, one would think there was a link between the two. She may have left with someone she knew Sat am.

Yes, that was one of the reports that I heard earlier too...walking with a man...you know...something isn't sitting right here..... Why is the image code off? Oh no! I can't survive without my smilies!

Gawd... he could have been taking her to the marsh to kill her.

Thank goodness someone spotted her.

Jovin you are awesome! No cork needed!
I agree MSNBC is a great station!
Thanks for the updates -- they are much appreciated to the working stiffs without tv access.

Great news! I didn't think she would be found alive. I know her parents are estatic.

I'm watching this unfold on local TV. Interestingly at the bottom there is a constant ticker reading 'the police will not confirm she was abducted'. It has been reported she was not sexually assaulted. The police say Audrey has given them a description but they won't release anything. Why is that a secret? Shouldn't they be shouting that from the rooftops? Time is of the essence.

It was an office worker who spotted Audrey in the marsh. She was found within two miles of her apartment. Nothing has been said if the office worker saw anyone with Audrey.

Thanks anyway, Skinny..but I think my daughters would beg to differ on that point!

I can sure understand why you're hiding from Justahappyguy! and I only caught a smidgen of that conversation on chat last night. Let's hope he can't look you up. Don't answer your door, woman!

:silenced: I'm glad she was found ok..

But in the same breath, I must say something just isn't right about this event. :bang:

I have had this nagging feeling since she went missing Saturday, that something else is going on here... :waitasec: :waitasec:

Why would she leave at 2:30am just 2 month after her attack. She left alone, no escort. She told no one where she was going.. Something is strange here..!! :waitasec: I hear there is a bar across the street.. Is this young women hanging out, drinking to much.. then who know what happens..!! :silenced:

I just feel there is more to what she is telling us.. !! I could be all wrong but something is very strange about both events..!! :waitasec:

JUST MY OPINION !!

"UPDATED: 5:32 p.m. EST March 31, 2004

BREAKING NEWS: Police are searching a marshy area near the Alliant Energy Center on the south side of Madison for a person suspected of holding a missing University of Wisconsin student hostage.

A woman taking a lunch break at the Department of Revenue building saw Audrey Seiler, who has been missing since Saturday, walking in the marsh near Rimrock Road and called police, reported WISC-TV in Madison. Seiler is at the hospital. She is reportedly in "good shape," according to Madison police.

John Nolen Drive and Rimrock is closed as police search, making the commute home slow for many. The beltline is very backed up.

Police are also searching the area behind the Sheraton Hotel. Police are using a bullhorn to tell a suspect to give up his weapon and come out of a grassy area behind the Sheraton, WISC-TV in Madison reported. Police are calling the area an "active crime scene."

When I ponder the meaning of life..I always ask myself:

WHY can't those darned news conferences start on time!!!! ????

reporting news conference should start at the top of the hour...yeah, right. I wonder WHICH hour! MSNBC

Candice DeLong..FBI ....they'll be searching well into the night...reason to believe their search will lead to something....most encouraging that she was found so closeby...tells you it was someone familiar with that area....hmmm I"m not sure I agree, Candice.

news conference....they're giving out the names of who's going to be speaking..ANOTHER 15 MINUTES!!!!!! "another delay here."

Katy Ylitalo (Audrey's friend) is speaking to Dan Abrams...she can't leave the hotel where she's staying...police orders...some streets still closed off...they're showing a woman police officer checking all the cars (gun drawn)in a parking lot....I wouldn't want to be her....all those tinted windows....

Police chief and her parents and a doctor will speak WHENEVER they start.

Would anyone like to recap the news conference instead of me? I don't mind, but I'm not very good..make alot of errors with my hands...have to keep typing over...but let me know..so not two of us will be doing it.

Fox says they have a phone hookup in the news conf room so they speculate Audrey may speak from her hospital bed via phone whenever this happens
