I believe that most of us following this saddest of threads knew that darling little Elijah was dead. IMO, he was dead before Jesse Vang reported him missing, and I can't imagine what kind of proof will be required to convince me that Katrina Baur hasn't known the same thing all along.

Is it wrong to feel this bittersweet joy that he's been found? People who never knew him, never met him, cared more about him than those wretched adults ever did. I know I did. I'm so glad he was found. I'm so glad they couldn't erase him.

Poor darling boy. I hope he never knew.

Agreed. Typically in cases I’ve followed LE doesn’t even say they are waiting to confirm if the remains are the missing person’s unless they’re pretty sure. JMO though.

TWO RIVERS, WI (WSAU) – Police in Two Rivers believe that a cold case revolving around a missing child may be coming to a grim end following a possible break in the case over the weekend.

According to sources who spoke to radio talk show host Dan O’Donnell, Two Rivers investigators located the remains of a small child in a “remote area” of Girl Scout Camp Manitou-Two Rivers on Saturday, which early indications point to belonging to missing four-year-old Elijah Vue, who has been missing since February 20th.

Vue’s father, Jimmy Vue, spoke during Baur’s bond hearing and asked the judge to deny her request, saying, “I would like to ask you to deny bail based on the fact that my son is still missing… We need answers, and I think Katrina Baur has the answer.” Baur is scheduled to appear back in court on October 22nd.

I've been AFK for the weekend and saw this news early this morning. Has anyone mapped where the remains were found and where it fits into the travel timeline for Jesse in the days before reporting Elijah missing? Was the camp along that route?

I am relieved. Nobody ever wants to wish for a child's remains to be found but I think we all knew this was the predictable end of this mystery. After confirmation, no more will we be asking "Where is Elijah". He can be laid to rest properly with loved ones to mourn. One step closer to the only sort of closure this sort of case can offer RIH Elijah.

Thank you! This is what I've been thinking about, too, Elijah's blanket location in relation to the remains. Wondering if that was an intentional plant of evidence to mislead, or, now, accidentally left behind while looking for a place to dump the body.

But either way, I see now that all along I gave Vang and Baur too much credit for getting away with it. They were in fact lazy, dumb, cruel and heartless. JMO. Innocent until proven guilty, I know.

Multiple agencies working to ID human remains in Two Rivers; followers of Elijah Vue’s disappearance await news

Elijah Vue's grandmother wrote on Facebook, “It is likely, but not confirmed until DNA has come back."

Neighbors react after human remains found in Two Rivers

According to the Manitowoc County Sheriff's Office a deer hunter found human skeletal remains on private property in the town of Two Rivers on Saturday.

While in the area, TMJ4 saw a Two Rivers police car parked outside Camp Manito Girl Scout Camp.

A camp spokesperson wrote on Facebook, "There is no police investigation going on at Camp Manitou. The rumors circulating about police investigating Camp Manitou are erroneous. Camp Manitou is not involved in this investigation."

The Sheriff’s Office added that the camp is not where the remains were found.

I was so sure he was in landfill, and no baby deserves that. I've never for a moment doubted he was dead. That photo... that was too much like a trophy. Sharing his pain, and getting off on it.

There was a photo the guy sent to the 'mum' - Elijah severely bruised and blindfolded, lying down on a bed.

I honestly don't know if he was still alive when it was taken.

The photo of poor darling Elijah laying blindfolded on a bed in Vang's apartment, with bruising visible along his jaw and upper arms, that was sent by Vang to Baur and then deleted. LE recovered the deleted photo after they confiscated Baur's phone.

And you know what? This is why I know she's absolutely involved. IMO, any ordinary mother would have called 911/police immediately upon seeing that photo and screamed to them to go rescue her beloved boy.

I just can't believe how much this case breaks my heart. Elijah was wanted, just not by the people who had him.

I don't think that's what happened. I don't think Vang sent the photo to Baur.

According to the link below, the mother went to Vang's apartment on Feb 14.

"In the car with her the morning of Feb. 14, the criminal complaint says, is Baur's young daughter. Baur exchanged messages with Vang about leaving the child in the car while she came into the apartment for sex."

"Then, at 3:13 a.m., with her daughter alone in the car -- outside in temperatures ranging from 36 to 27 degrees -- court documents show a photo of Elijah Vue was taken on Baur's phone, inside Vang's apartment."

"The criminal complaint says the picture, which was deleted about an hour after it was taken, showed Vue laying on a bed, blindfolded. It also appeared he had bruising on his jaw line, the left side of his neck and on the upper part of his left arm."

So it's possible the mother took the photo.

Yeah, that photo convinced me beyond doubt that Baur’s hands are just as dirty as Vang’s. All the nonsense about Vang taking Elijah in order to “make him a man” is just that; nonsense.

IMO Vang and Baur were getting their jollies from the torture of Elijah, bonding with each other through disgusting texts and pictures. How the heck could they enjoy sex with each other after that photo?

Poor Elijah, so many loving people would have felt blessed to have him in their family.
