WI - ICE seeks help to ID youth in photos #2 - Identified

I haven't read this entire thread, but I'm wondering why we are assuming that the boy in the video is being held against his will. Isn't it possible that he molested the little girl in his basement room a few years ago and filmed the video to make money? Since then, LE got their hands on it and are now looking for the molester, who could be anywhere. Maybe the boy is only 'missing' in the sense that LE doesn't know his name and cannot locate him. And now that his picture is everywhere, he could actually be in hiding.

I suffered through three years of braces, and it was not at all comfortable to keep my mouth closed, especially right after I would get a new wire and brace-tightening each month.

I can't decide if this boy looks emotionless or just scared. He might be keeping his mouth closed because he's clenching his jaw due to tension or fear. He also might not have braces, which might explain why his mouth is closed.

I do think the self conscious nature of a teen with braces might be enough to keep his mouth closes while making a video of this nature, was just wondering if there could be another reason braces might cause it.

There is no evidence from the pictures we've seen that he is being held against his will.

It looks like two typical kids in a typical basement.

No adults are seen in the pictures on imageshack.

No one who has admitted seeing the video has said anything about an adult being seen or heard in the rest of the video.

He could have had the braces for several years and is used to them. He could also have a large enough mouth that doesn't rub against the braces when he closes it. He could also just be wearing a retainer, which isn't as bulky over the teeth as braces are.

I would think that the webcam would be attached to the lid of a laptop, and then someone simply moved the entire computer.

Webcams are VERY easy to move.

The kind you add on have an almost unlimited range.

The kind in the laptop have the same range as any way you can move your laptop.

The scene is never viewed from above for example, or from another part of the room.

All that really changes is the angle, or anything that could be explained simply be moving a laptop further down a coffee table.

But you can see his arms reaching forward in the same way one does when reaching forward to type on their computer.

Does anyone know if the folks over at 4chan are trying to figure this out? Someone said if anyone could find out who the boy is, it's them. I'm hoping they are working on it. All help is needed. I could even rest a little easier if I knew they were working on it.

No we don't know anything for sure really.

I haven't seen anyone say "I watched the video and at one point someone calls him by name".

Also, even *if* that occurred all it would mean is that someone else is in the house or even the room at some point. Not necessarily aware of or involved in what is going on.

Unless someone says "I watched the video myself and there is an adult in the room speaking while it is happening" ... it is all just speculation.

This is my first post here. I did look at friends of B**** and didn't find anyone with the same shirt, but I did come across old photos of someone who looks like a much younger version of the ICE boy. Unfortunately, there was no name since he just appeared in someone else's photos. He didn't look like TD to me, but I could be mistaken. I gave the links to ICE earlier today. Maybe the sleuther believe09 mentioned earlier made the same connection I did. Hopefully it will help!

I saw the (I'm sure) same pictures and my thought process was identical to yours.
When I laid eyes on the "younger" boy, the hair stood up on my arms.

It's probably coincidence that someone somehow loosely connected to TD looks so much like the boy in the video stills, but it's still uncanny how much they look alike!

However, I've seen the help that Websleuthers have provided in other cases...please, PLEASE work together to find this little girl and help her....(and the youth involved, if he has also been a victim...whatever the case, and whatever abuse he may have suffered, he needs to monitored for the rest of his life, that's up for specialists to decide.....)

He's no little kid and whatever may have happened to him, or is happening, he's deeply damaged and nearing adulthood. That's concerning (to put it mildly).

I just went back and looked though I already kind of remembered, you cannot see his teeth in any of those pics.

I know that braces make one self conscious sometimes, and that the people viewing the webcam might have remarked or suggested that he not show the braces.

So, this may be a stupid question but, do braces make one likely to keep their mouth closed for other reasons?

(I had thought that they tended to keep their mouth open more because the braces hurt the lips more when the mouth is closed but I've never actually had braces so I don't know.)

It is not physically uncomfortable for me to keep my lips closed over my braces. I know that I do after I've eaten something in public and can't brush immediately, because there might be food stuck in them. I don't care who sees them. However, after looking at the stills, I just noticed that about the area above his lip, like where a mustache would be. It's puffy... and I see that in that area on my face as well. My braces don't hurt at all.

I just thought.... if it was possible, and LE knew that this person had been in MN or WI, that the states usually have a board that the Orthodontists would register to. Send his pic to them, and have them send them to all the states' orthodontists. When I think of that little girl, it seems worth a dang shot, you know?

I think (hope) that if school was in session maybe they would have sent the pic out to high schools at least in that general area.

The fact he disappeared around the time the video was released (2010) is also my reason to believe that it's him.

Not to beat a dead horse, since it seems most have moved away from TD as a possibility, but just wanted to add that TD ran away in May of 2010, and this t shirt design, according to the article on msnbc, was not on the market til July of that same year. Maybe that has already been pointed out and I missed it?

Since the t shirt is described as faded from washings, I would guess that the date of the video to be even later than July. Whether that is helpful or not, I don't know. jmo
