It’s doubtful there is highspeed (or cable) available . So mobile / cellular would be his mode of connecting.
I’m not seeing any overhead electrical lines / service into the house. Off the porch area, I see a service box so apparently the lines are underground. Also, not seeing an antennae on the house or a dish of any type on the property for television connection.

Pretty typical in such a rural area. Still, surprised there’s no dish of any kind (at least from what I’ve been able to see on pics published)

On a side note, nowadays there is some research coming out about the correlation between facial structure and brain disorders. Gestational brain disorders are reflected in facial structure resulting in craniofacial dysmorphology as in velocardiofacial syndrome (DiGeorge Syndrome DiGeorge syndrome | Children's Hospital of Wisconsin). I find both brothers to have striking oddities to their facial structure and wonder about developmental disorders that could be linked to specific mental illness and brain disorders.

I really think all that Bellyup was saying is that no one knows how Jayme or anyone else will react. Each person is different. I don’t believe she was arguing that Jayme won’t be traumatized. We just can’t know specifically how she will react to this trauma.

I would also point out that it was not Bellyup who was making the claim; they were paraphrasing a claim made by the author, Bessel Van der Kolk, a clinical psychiatrist who specializes in trauma.

The people who tend to have mental breakdowns at boot camp, are people who have undiagnosed or hidden conditions prior to arrival.

So the experience doesn’t cause it, but it can bring it out.

A service box is an indication of a landline at some point in time. Most landline providers do offer Internet access especially because so many have dropped their landlines. JMO

hmmm, if he failed in boot camp, maybe he planned a military-mission with kidnapping as an added benefit to him in order to prove what he was capable of or in retaliation (misdirected) for failing boot camp. sort of a FU to those who thought he couldn't hack the military. or maybe the military just jump started grandiose delusions of military power and force.

Adam Lanza definitely had a gaming connection.

Just want to jump in. It does look to me like there was a trespasser from the surrounding area that took photos through the windows. And also removed items from the trash can, pics of junk in the yard. Submitted them to daily mail. They pay a lot for things like that. The house looks like an adult female did live there at some point, so that may explain the “diapers” that he no longer needed and just junked. The backpacks - who knows what this guy’s deal is with children. It could be part of his obsession/hoarding. And it looks like Jayme slept on that bed and used that big white stuffy as a pillow. All IMO.
And the Marine thing definitely helps clear up my confusion on how he was able to single-handedly do what he did.

As much I hate the pictures DM posted I noticed the GREEN balloons hanging in the room with the wood stove. Didn’t they release green balloons in Barron for Jayme?

Ive looked through all the pictures from Daily and they are all taken from outside windows looking in. In another picture they show up as a string of cloverleafs hanging down across the window.

I saw a Direct TV remote on a table in one of the puctures as well. I believe they could also offer internet?

Am I the only one who wonders if this kid even lived here prior to this abduction? Or at least possibly not full-time? And even after the abduction? The sheriff said one thing they were looking for were receipts and whether she had been there the entire time she was missing, etc. I guess even though secluded and with many part-time residents, no one seemed to realize he lived there or that anyone did it sounded like from some. Maybe he planned this for mid October for several reasons. People perhaps who may stay up there most of the summer go home, some probably winterize (possibly). It is about the time utilities will not cut you off if you do not pay. If the concrete job is true, he may have known he would now have free time. As someone else mentioned, could he have said to dad, I will be laid off soon, let me live there and I will work on remodeling the place. Could the concrete company have had a job in Barron this past summer? Another possibility... He may not have not lived at the place, went up there as he felt like, couch surfed, lived with a friend, family member, moteled it if the company sent them out of town (I have no idea if the concrete company does more commercial or personal types of concrete jobs). Another thought is, is it possible he is drawing unemployment? One would need enough hours, etc. and there is a formula but just a thought....

All the photos are attributed to different people/organizations, so it looks like a bunch of reporters were quite busy up there.

Yeah. Three tabloids that are willing to go to extremes for access.

I simply cannot believe that law enforcement could already be done with searching that property.

So either they are somehow done, and the property wasn't being monitored, or it was monitored, and someone looked the other way.

The one "tabloid" I forget which, stated there were lights on but no one came to the door. I guess you could pull in and knock but does that truly give you a right to shoot pics? It is interesting, they all have the monopoly and alcoholic empty bottles pictures, but some have a few more. I wonder if some inside (like of the lower level) could not even be realtor pics if the house was ever up for sale? And not even be current....

In the older google earth versions, there is an odd array of strewn clutter opposite & southwest of the property structures (across back/side yard). It seemed like buckets? I can make out that something is still there but it's difficult to determine. Have you other ideas about those scattered shapes?

IMO, what look like buckets are tree stumps, and with a wood stove, rectangular shape out back could be a wood shed.

While I think if honest, when they first came out, I was curious to see them as most probably were. Yet in all honesty, it made me sick and angry once I did. I thought maybe we would have some outside shots and a bit more detail of the property. As for realtors, I was thinking more of a local realtor for "pay", not Zillow. Just speculating. Certain pics are all the same or close to it but the ones in the lower level, etc., it seems they had to be taken from inside the house for sure. Could they have even come from a divorce file? Again, just speculating. I agree with others that the makeup and stuffed animals were likely the sister's room at some point in the past years....
