I should have been more clear because my original focus was not meant to be on the chair ties or the chair. My theory is that DC was held against her will somewhere in her home while Jayme was located by the killers and brought to the same area as DC. (I said 'maybe tied to the chair' but I should not have since it isn't key to the theory anyway.) I think there were 2 men involved and they had guns so tying anyone up wasn't necessary anyway imo. What I should have emphasized is that I think DC managed to break away from where she was being held and ran to call 911 when she got to her phone. I should never have mentioned the chair at all; my mistake.
this would be an explaination for the 20 minute delay between the shots and the 911 call. DC might have been restrained but then got free and got the call off.

We live a few hours from the ports of entry with the highest level of smuggling and two major cartel routes in TX. This stuff is no joke down here.
Its no joke anywhere. Smuggling into the usa is at least a $1 Trillion per year industry, people, drugs, you name it. The major distribution hubs are not in TX. Its now Phoenix and Chicago. Note that the Phoenix area leads the usa in female abductions. The Barron area is just a few hours from Chicago. Property is cheap because there are few ways to make money. Study demographics of the area and crime stats. The cartels are years ahead of local LE. The federal government really needs to step up, and at a minimum double resources and infrastructure battle this stuff. Corruption at every level occurs because of the vast money involved. Drugs should be decriminalized and everything thrown at stopping violent crime and smuggling.

This has never seemed like an amateurish action to me. Quite professional the way they went in and out of there, and then disappeared without a trace. Something very "pointed" and personal about this murder/abduction.
How is it pointed and personal?

Exactly correct, JRW.

A poster also discovered that the mystery of specifically contacting the Sheriff Dept. in Ontonagon, MI at 12:15:13 per the 911 log is because they are specialists in regional human trafficking.

The Ontonagon notes are referencing a sighting that took place 12 hours after the event, Police followed up located the girl confused as being Jayme and tip was closed out

That's interesting. Do you have a link? I have read almost all of these 20 threads with some catch up gaps, but I don't remember this one. A google search does not return any results supporting your post. Ontonagon is in MI = Michigan, not FL. Thanks.

I will see if I can hunt something up but Paul Blume about the only reporter covering this story much anymore had asked the sheriff about this issue in the call log.

Okay, thanks. I tried to search WS for the post about Ontonagon's human trafficking expertise and my electronics crashed, go figure.

The house was picked for a reason. It was a "pointed". It wasn't a random choice. They went in and out of there in a very calculated way - nothing messy about it. It was "professional". Why? I'm not speculating on the "why" but I do think there is a very specific "why" involved here
<edited to add more thoughts to my post)

I have thought this all along too. I mean whoever did this, did it very, very well. I don't feel like it could even be a local at this point, nor do I think Jayme had anything to do with it in any way shape or form.

But with that said, the whole house thing when you put the two different street names in is making me wonder. You would think if this was professional they would for sure go to the right house? I mean, I guess I don't see someone like that just pulling it up on google maps and going with that.

Yeah. I’m definitely not a fan of any “gang” theory here.

These people were low risk victims, with no known ties to gang activity.

I’ve lived in a couple cities with major drug and gang problems, and I’ve never heard of anything like this.
I understand the gang theory may be far fetched to many, but unfortunately I do live near an area where gangs are quite active. I'm not mentioning any specific type of gang, but many have been known to kill to obtain whatever they want. While most of the time they fight and kill amongst themselves there have been cases of teenage girls being killed due to a disagreement she had with a gang member on line. They brutally killed her and her friend who just happened to be with her at that time. In NO way am I saying Jayme knowingly was involved with any gang type members, but maybe she had come in contact with this type of person(s)somehow. How is the big question? Or was it a random thrill seeking kind of crime? Could they have been at the casino or in Barron and were just looking to rob or terrorize a home and took Jayme as the prize?
If there were cars involved as mentioned by LE she doesn't have to be close .
There are major cities not too far from Barron
. If people in gang areas have seen something they will never alert LE due to fear. I tend to lean more to a gang type theory at this point rather than any cartel theory. MOO!

The "why" is the key

Here's where Mexican drug cartels operate in the US, according to the DEA

I don’t think these are true. Is there a credible link to these stories?

Valleyfair closes early; Shakopee police respond to park after large number of fights

OT: Not that I think this has anything at all to do with this case, but I think this is what they were referring to. Valley Fair is an amusement park south of the Twin Cities, not an actual fair. A bunch of teenagers (<modsnip - rumor not in article >) were setting up flash fights within the park via Snapchat and/or other social media.

Agree gangs are business and people need to think about them that way. IMO all signs point to this being about something other than money or illegal business. I think it is highly likely the whoever did this is no stranger to the criminal justice system, and might even be part of a local group of dirt bags the run together sometimes, but no way is it any type of organized gang activity IMO.

BBM
I think there is more than likely a clear motive but the public hasn't been made aware and the not knowing is scary scary scary. If I lived there I would be on edge for sure.
agree, but in this case it may only be known to the perp. LE might not even know (yet).

Man wanted by Rusk County arrested in Rice Lake after tip

Right next door. Not JC case but another example of the things that go on in that area

An 18-year-old Ladysmith man could face up to three and one-half years in prison after Rice Lake police found him with information provided by the father of a 14-year-old girl in the defendant’s company. According to a complaint filed Thursday, Oct. 25, the defendant is identified as Izak W. Reeves, of Ladysmith. Shortly before 1 a.m. that day, Rice Lake police went to a home in the 100 block of East Allen Street in Rice Lake to pick up the defendant on an outstanding warrant from the Ladysmith Police Department. Police first spoke with a 14-year-old girl who was at the apartment. The girl’s father had informed police that the girl was dating the defendant and the father “did not want her hanging out with him. The girl repeatedly denied Reeves was in the home, but eventually agreed to get him. He was arrested. Police spoke with a woman whose name is on the lease where the arrest took place. She claimed the girl brought the defendant into her home without her knowledge. The woman said the defendant had brought a backpack with him. In it was a straw containing what later tests proved to be crystal meth and a glass smoking device, which also tested positive for meth. A preliminary hearing is set for Thursday, Nov. 8, court records said.

Just proof that age is no matter when it comes to drugs. That girl was willing to hide him

Agree. I think the father and mother were meant to be killed from the beginning. Why? It's going to take some digging, and while it could have implications of something sinister, it could be something in the past they know, have seen, or about which they have first-hand knowledge. As to how and why Jayme became involved, I just don't think she was the target but an after thought.

If she's still alive, how do you deal with a 13 yr old that cannot be seen anywhere for a month? It would be starting to get old and more difficult for the possible captor(s). Could the publicity/billboards be encouraging Jayme's elimination?

It sure seems to me that the culprit(s) is not someone in the community. You can bet LE/FBI have knowledge of everyone and everything around town and the area. Meth is a problem, but, again LE/FBI know who's who in the meth production and distribution. I have widened my horizons to someone out of the area.
