I have to think about my actions when I was 13. I was known by family to be a quiet child and they did not and never did know that I sneaked out of my grandfather's house to see a young guy working at the grocery store down the block. Just saying.

I did the same, and this was when I was about the same age. I was very good at quietly unlocking the door, leaving it unlocked, meeting friends, then sneaking back into the house. Semi-rural area... I didn't consider what might happen if my parents got up while I was gone and locked the door. I was lucky this didn't happen. I knew every creak in the steps to get back to my room.
