Dear Members,

In no way will we allow ANYONE to suggest that a minority group, a gang, the Nazi's or a coven of witches are the ones who killed Jayme's parents and kidnapped her.

If anyone hints, talks around or in anyway suggests a group is responsible for this horrible crime that person will be gone from the discussion. Same thing if you mention anyone as a suspect without evidence.

If any reliable information comes out about the suspect or suspects then, of course, we can discuss the new information.

Until then, please stay on topic, do not start discussing any other cases, and remember while Websleuths is first a true crime discussion forum a very close second is we are a victim friendly forum. 99.9% of the time we can easily be both. In Jayme's case, there is no reason to disparage the parents or Jayme. There is no evidence of any issues with Jayme's parents or with Jayme herself.

PLEASE STAY ON TOPIC. We know teenagers can be very difficult, however, there is no evidence to suggest Jayme is anything but a victim.

If your post starts with "Me", "My", "I" it very well could be off topic.

We have the best sleuths in the world on Websleuths. We need to keep on topic to make sure the topics are easy to read. When a post is made about anything that is not directly related to the topics it makes the thread harder to read and way off topic.

The work the mods are having to do on this thread alone is overwhelming.

The rules are easy to follow on Websleuths. Thousands of people follow the rules every day with no problem.

Thank you for your cooperation,

Tricia

WS does not tolerate bashing LE. Everyone knows that some LEAs are corrupt and some aren't. Some LEOs are corrupt and some aren't. A small town police force can be just as great or just as bad as a large city police force.

I see nothing in this case indicating that LE has botched the entire thing or is not asking for the help from other agencies that they require.

Unless and until LE in this case proves to be incompetent, there is no reason to bash their efforts to find Jayme.

Hi everyone- As this is a very active discussion, please make every effort to stay on-topic, victim friendly, and courteous to your fellow posters. If you are posting information as fact, posting a picture, etc. include a link to your source. If you see a post which violates TOS, report the post and do not respond to it. Thank you and carry on :)

Dear Everyone,

I've decided to allow Radaronline.com to be used as a mainstream media source. Yes there are times when Radaronline.com is gossipy and wrong. However, they do have great interviews when it comes to true crime. They can find out things that no other source can find. I believe they pay people for their stories so that's probably why.

www.radaronline.com is now considered a usable media source.

I'm closing the thread down for the night because the alerts have been out of control. I have never seen this type of alert frenzy on Websleuths. We are going to have to figure out how to stop everyone from alerting at the same time.

We will open a new thread in the morning.

G'night,

Tricia

Respectfully, I disagree.
While this source can be an approved link by the administrators here, I believe Tricia herself would fully endorse each of us using our own judgement to decide if we find their reporting to be credible or not.
EXACTLY COCOCHANEL!

The reason I decided to let members use Radar online as a media source is they are the ones actually getting the interviews. The regular mainstream media has little to nothing.

The reason why Radar gets the info is that the site pays for their stories. I have found their stories to be true more often than not.

However, I will leave it up to each of you to decide if you feel what Radar reports on is accurate. Just like you can do with any other source we allow.

Also, by allowing Radar online, I am hoping we will see less arguing among your fellow posters and more sleuthing and discussion of the information.

Any source can be wrong. Always remember that.

Thanks,
Tricia

Thank you very much for posting call log...very interesting to see in native form. Terribly sorry if I missed this...has someone mapped where the police station is in perspective to the Closs house in perspective to the casino? TIA

I made a map with the Closs house, the Casino, Jayme's school, Jennie-O, and the Sheriff's office. Are there any other places to include?

This is the first map I have made, let me know if something is wrong.

Note: street view of Closs house on Google maps is incorrect as many have noted, and possibly speculated could have led to a "wrong house" situation.

Google Maps

Edit: Apparently this map shows the house correctly on street view when you click on the dropped pin but lists the address at 1271.

Brilliant - thank you. Is it possible to see all the pins on one map (i.e., all locations depicted on one map at the same time)?

Do you mean with driving directions/distance between them or something else? They all show at the same time for me and the bright red pin moves as I mouse over the left side list.

I have never done a map before, so maybe some other people can chime in if they are seeing something different.

Dear thesnowflakesparkles,

Thank you so much for creating this for us.

Greatly appreciated!

From Thread #6 - Clarification on Dispatch Log Reports:

MAN DID NOT ANSWER DOOR FOR POLICE (It was open when LE arrived)

[snip]
Sheriff Fitzgerald says a 911 call came in around 1A.M. The call came from a cell phone inside the residence but it’s not known who made the call. “We could hear yelling in the background on this 911 call, not much information," said Fitzgerald.
He says the call lasted less than a minute and the only word that can be understood is “help”.

"Deputies arrived at that address a short time after the call ended to find no one around on the outside,” Sheriff Fitzgerald says as deputies approached the house, they saw the front door was open and there was a deceased male in that front door way. Officers later found a deceased female while searching the rest of the home. BBM

UPDATE: Sheriff: Missing girl was in home at the time of the murders

ETA: Index post #336 for future reference

You might have to zoom out to see everything. I see all the locations without doing so. All the locations you asked for are teal colored balloons with with squares in them except the Closs house which is a brown balloon with a red square. The casino is the outlier because it is some 12.6 miles or so west of everything else.
