Those are all referring to her current school in Barron. It was mentioned in some MSM and in earlier threads that she had switched schools this year.

Was it this year? I thought we didn't know what year she switched. But I had to skip a bunch of posts. These threads move way too fast. I could have missed that. Can anyone provide a link as to when Jayme switched schools? TIA.

I have not seen any indication that Jayme resented mom's control. By all accounts, her mom was involved with her activities but I would not make the assumption that she was overly controlling in any way. I have not seen any statements that her mom stated at the movie theater when Jayme went with her friends. That she stayed at the skating rink is not evidence of this either. Maybe she didn't want to drive home and have to come back 2 hours later. We don't know how far away the rink was. Jmo
Given that Jayme is still in middle school and went to an out of district school initially, this is actually pretty normal sounding to me. I have neighbors with a son that goes to school 35 minutes away and before he could drive they would just stick around when he was at sports or other activities in that town so they could get to know the other parents/be there when he needed to leave/etc. I think this is a similar case and at 13 that's warranted because she is definitely not old enough to drive.

Two dead, girl missing in Barron County
This MSM link states she switched schools, I think one of the pressers stated it was recent. FWIW, the church the family attended is also in Cameron.

I made a map with the Closs house, the Casino, Jayme's school, Jennie-O, and the Sheriff's office. Are there any other places to include?

This is the first map I have made, let me know if something is wrong.

Note: street view of Closs house on Google maps is incorrect as many have noted, and possibly speculated could have led to a "wrong house" situation.

Google Maps

Edit: Apparently this map shows the house correctly on street view when you click on the dropped pin but lists the address at 1271.

Interesting. With all the new information the past couple of days, this is very helpful.

I do suspect the intruder(s) had an awareness of the family and a specific timeline. IMO.

One puzzling factor is the dad being found near the front door. It does make me wonder if he stumbled across the crime in progress coming home from his late shift. This could have created a diversion and allowed Jayme or her mom to make the 911 call.

I agree with many here, Jayme was likely the target, but don’t rule out both her mom and her as targets, and dad interrupted. He may have walked up to a kicked in door like the investigators did and got shot. IMO.

A couple replies from the last thread. I couldn't even keep up!

People were saying they must have heard Jayme on the 911 call to know she was in the house when the murders were committed. Maybe they found her footprints or fingerprints in the blood. Or some other physical evidence.

We keep being focused on how they could have got out of there in 4 minutes, but from the start of the 911 call to the first officer on site was 7 minutes. 911 received 00:53:26, dispatch at 00:56:01, arrived 1:00:29.

We also focus on how they could have got a struggling child out and in a vehicle and left in 4 minutes (actually 7.) She might have been unconscious. She might have seen them just shoot 2 people dead and be holding a gun to her. They might have thrown her in the car trunk.

I do the same thing along with many other parents as our school is 25 minutes away. If the ice skating rink was far away, it would make sense to me. Even if it was close I don't see waiting there or watching the kids as being controlling. Jayme is described as being quiet and shy. She may have even wanted her mom to stick around. Jmo

Thanks, but this is all I see at the link:
There is no history of family trouble or custody disputes, he added. He said Jayme has lived in Barron County for several years.

“I know she’s gone to school locally,” he said. “I know she goes to Barron Middle School and went to Cameron previously.”

It doesn't say what year she switched. There were other quotes about a family caretaker that I have seen that also did not specify when the change in schools occurred. I don't think the school change is super relevant unless it happened recently (new school could mean the perp met her or saw her at a school event very recently and became fixated on taking her). But if this was 2 years ago then it really seems less likely there is any relevance. JMO.

I thought I read that it was this school year but I have no idea where.

I know. Four minutes from the dispatch call, though. Not sure if that is calculating how long the 911 operator spent trying to call back, with no response. That should be considered. All said, the abductor had time to take care of business, and get out of there. For all we know, the responders passed the perpetrator getting out of there, while they were headed to the scene.

This story tears at the heartstrings. I sure hope Jayme is found soon and is okay. :(

"Naiberg, Denise Closs' father, told The Associated Press on Tuesday that Jayme "was quiet as always" at his grandson's birthday party. Denise Closs, Naiberg said, was "a thoughtful person (who brought) a little gift for everybody at the party"

Sheriff: Wisconsin parents shot to death while teen daughter...

It’s pretty remarkable, isn’t it? Came in shooting. Killed two people using possibly only two shots. Gone within a short window of time, with Jayme and without much of a trace. This person knew exactly what they were doing.

A question-
If we accept that we don’t know when Mr Closs came home, (I don’t think we have confirmed his whereabouts at all) and
If we accept he was deceased in the open doorway when LE arrived (seems logical from the 911 call log) then
Which side of the door was he on when alive? Inside defending, or outside kicking in?
I was thinking outside kicking in until Ocean BE (I think) made the point that the deck outside the door would be more carefully maintained as a crime scene in the photos we have if he’d been outside when shot.
I think we can’t call this until we know, for sure, his activity that Sunday and therefore can’t speculate.
My garbled thought for tonight.

one thing that bug me to death, there is no pleas for her safe return, no organized searches, no sense of urgency . Just maybe they do have a clue? or maybe absolutely nothing.

From what I have read, an Amber Alert was issued in this case, even though though there was no identification of the suspect or a vehicle. That is rare. It makes me think the investigators used the alert as a way for people in the public to see her picture and be alert. Not sure.

They made an exception in this case. It helps when you have the FBI involved.
