I don't think it is Patrick. On his facebook page he appears to have a birthmark on his face that is not present in the video.

The kitchen cabinets are a different color, too. If that is his kitchen. (looking at photos on one of the FB pages)

The hair is really different, so yeah, it's probably not him.

The man in the video honestly does act like someone who has done theater before. Not professionally, but perhaps in high school or a local community theater? His tone is fake and his acting is overly dramatic, but the video does not seem fake at all to me. It seems like he's a nutcase who is now enjoying the fact that everyone is watching and talking about the show that he has put on.

One of the 'debunked' versions of the video on YouTube that I watched did note that it sounds like he is saying 'action' as he gets up to go open the door. I'm not sure that's what I heard, but whomever made the debunked video I saw claims to have also heard that

Meh, that doesn't really mean anything. If it is real, this dude is one nutso egomaniac who probably fancies himself an actor & 'action' would not be so out of place in one of his weird 'movies.' If the video is fake, and I think it probably is, the main thing IMO is that the girl doesn't scream until he opens the door. You'd think you would hear her say something or scream while he's talking & 'why are you doing this' possibly seems rehearsed. This is something the Debunked youtube guy mentions that I agree with

I'm leaning towards this being the product of two weird drama kids possibly making a horror short for a school project or just for fun, to create an 'online hoax' or whatever. But you never know. I hope there are some answers soon.

this report is saying they tried to contact someone in marathon county, isnt wausau in marathon country?

Yes, Wausau is the county seat of Marathon County. Kronenwetter is a small municipality right outside of Wausau so it's really one metro area. I can drive from the other side of Wausau to Kronenwetter in maybe 15 minutes.

According to this article a Marathon County man was contacted and cleared for looking like "Patrick".

It's unclear why Kronenwetter police made the statement they did, I can't find any direct reference to a Kronenwetter residence in other reporting unless that is also the "Marathon County" man that was being looked into. Unfortunately our local news reporting can be a bit lacking in connecting the dots in their stories sometimes.

There's been a whole slew of unsolved murders of young women and girls in this area for many years around Shawano County, Wisconsin. I believe the common link of many of them is the Bowler, WI casino.

Also, another interesting point, Walter E. Ellis, also known as the Milwaukee North Side Strangler, was a serial killer who raped and strangled seven women in the city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin between 1986 and 2007. He was arrested September 7, 2009. The video was first posted October 11, 2009.

Do you think the 'hey Walter' is a reference to Walter Ellis more over Walter Lassa? It makes more sense to me that he is addressing a serial killer than a guy who killed his ex-girlfriend. I don't know if this is the true reference is it more likely this was a spoof video made in quest?

Boy.. that's tough.. sure looks like him.. even with the teeth. Maybe they already know who it and are trying to find now? I read that they traced the ip and went to the location and guy wasn't there but I want to know more.. like where was this location?

It has only 2 audio-only clips with a kids voice. One mentions a creepypasta "Candle Cove" which is a story by Kris Straub from 2009, which has recently been brought back into focus due to a SyFy channel show. The other says that "Hi Walter it's Me Patrick" is going to kill him.

While I think the video is disturbing I believe more that it was a hoax. The girl in the video looks a lot like a girl (SB) who posted 7 years ago on that video's youtube page. She is in theater and she sounds a lot like the girl in the video when you watch her youtube channel. Also, a guy posting a response on one of her videos looks exactly like the guy in this video (DR).. I feel pretty sure this video is an acting hoax

I read that possibility on imgur. I read the three people commented on the video after it was uploaded. I tend to agree. For regular everyday people it is a bit bizarre why anyone would want to participate in something like this voluntarily but there are a lot of people who role play and do this sort of stuff. The woman however denies it is her. It could be someone else though who was acting who was into this type of thing.


ETA: I found the DR guy not on imgur but the youtuber. yeah I definitely see that. very weird all of it.


Either way with this getting national attention I'm sure someone will recognize "Patrick" in the video.
