Was he portraying himself as the one who wanted to be the slave, though? I don't think the deaths were accidental at all, but began with more of a bait-and-switch type thing.

No, he doesn't. I have read many Yahoo messenger messages between him and other women. Yeah, I used to snoop a lot.

Doesn't it make you wonder why Hollatz had SZ on his number one radar & never did a darn thing except sent a cop, wrote a letter when he ignored that after several weeks he finally sent someone to talk to him. Grrrrr

I'm stuck on where the investigation went once it was discovered Laura never checked out of the motel in Rochester. I have to go back and reread, but was SZ on surveillance leaving the motel?

I'm also curious if there are more incidents like the one which was swept under the rug with SZ's resignation.

it appears multiple jurisdictions dropped the ball. This could have been prevented. I'm especially steamed about the type he preyed upon. We'll see what occurs next court date.

JMOO I think she was in the suitcase but very much alive. We've only heard his side of the story. Consenting sex gone bad......They said he left the motel alone. If he wanted a slave why kill her ASAP? Makes no sense to me.

LE isn't saying much probably afraid of the lawsuits. A good lawyer will destroy the LE Departments.

If I remember correctly, the Collarme profile was created in 2007. (Did anybody get a copy of the profile before it was taken down?) The thailandsexy profile was created in 2009. The posting on the Yahoo group was made in 2012. Could it be that he realized he was going into a dark place in 2012 and was, therefore, seeking to be enslaved to prevent himself from committing murder? Or I might just be over-thinking this.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure that is the case. I remember looking at his profile on Bondage.com and then I had found another one that he had up there looking to be owned. That was back in 2008. I cannot remember for the life of me what his username was for that one though.

That is a pretty good article, but I'm not sure if it is considered MSM. Also, they have some of the facts/timing wrong. The part about him being questioned by police and then posting and ad looking for an owner is off. He was questioned by police in 2014, he posted the ad in the Yahoo group looking for an owner in 2012.

Edit to add: The article says that the "online realm of S&M is buzzing about mrhandcuffs". Has anybody found that buzz? I would like to read it.

Thanks, JSR! I know you can't answer some questions and I respect that. I'm going to throw a few out there anyway:
What was his regular username on bondage.com?
Do you know any other user names he used besides Mrhandcuffs and steve53227?
Do you know of other websites besides collarme, the yahoo MasterB group, thailandsexy and bondage.com?
It sounds like his main interest was in being the master, was he also into being submissive?
Is it common in S&M for people to switch roles?

I did notice dates & timing were wrong. Not many articles with the true facts out there.

His regular username on B.com was MrHandcuffs. Other usernames, I'm not sure about. He was also on Alt.com as MrHandcuffs3. I had read profiles of his where he wanted to be the sub/slave but that wasn't when we were together. It was after I had left. It can be common to switch roles.
 
Greetings all! I'm a newbie who found your forum while searching for info on this horrific case. (I'm a native of WI who returns there often, spends a lot of time driving those roads.)

It occurs to me that Zelich, being a clever guy and all, could have found a myriad of ways to ditch those bodies. IMO he knew that the net was closing in on him and it was time to produce the evidence and take a hit on "hiding a corpse(s)" vs muder(s).

I was thinking the very same thing . . . oh and I'm also quite curious how he moved a body from MN to WI with no one noticing anything. Did he check in w/a large suitcase? Did he leave at any point to buy one? Dunno. Hopefully there is surveillance footage.

Oh and I believe he's going to play the sex gone wrong angle. It's worked before (elsewhere) but he's got TWO deaths under his belt as well as concealment.

Did the women who responded to his ads respond as master or slave?

I mean, this would be the ultimate punk...putting out there that he wanted to be a slave yet murdering women (maybe couples too?) by dominating them.

Believe09 ~ hopefully they will produce some correspondence / ads from these encounters. since he's going to take responsibility for "causing" death vs murder, he'll want us to believe he was the dominant one.

FYI ~ I found an article from the UK where a slave died while under the care of his Dom. The case was eventually dismissed (high profile individuals as well). Zelich knows what he's doing (or thinks he does). I would not want to be his defense atty.

Actually, only the headline says "he says it was rough sex gone wrong" and the article makes no such statement to back it up
