In my years on these threads, I've found that looks are the least important factor in a match. We've had some doppelgangers who turned out not to be a match, and some matches who barely resemble the recons or post

Absolutely agree...sorry for my hard words...people who are gone don't look in most cases like the living person...the reconstructions are made for people that could recognize the broad "picture" because they know the dead person..... and if you didn't see your loved one for a couple of years, even for a known person, it is still very hard to recognize your missing family member, especially when harm was done.....

Hi everyone..since i first came across lisa schmidt on doe network, i submitted her as a possible match. Just got an email which read...was forwarded to law enforcement..though not formally ruled out, the comment was, improbable..facial structure/teeth/timing off.

Are the eyes of Racine Jane Doe's morgue photo photoshopped in? Or did she die with her eyes opened? Her eyes are too beautiful. I hope justice is served upon her killer one day.

^I heard somewhere that her eyes were photoshopped...in fact part of her upper face was. I heard this in a YouTube video years ago. The lady who made the video sounded as if she had inside information on this case.

I went back on this thread and saw that I started discussing this video on July 1, 2011. The video link says it's no longer available. I posted a few detailed notes from what the lady talked about. She claimed to have gotten information directly from the investigators. Why the video is no longer available is a mystery like so many other things about this case.

Yes they are and I don't like it. It can change a face totally. Better to show with the eyes closed.

Did Aundria Bowman have a (younger) sister that looked like her? Aundria isn't the Jane Doe but that doesn't tell me if they weren't related.

I don't know if this was posted already....

Testing performed at the Smithsonian Institute has determined where Racine County’s Jane Doe may have spent several years of her life.
The girl was found in 1999 at the edge of a cornfield on 92nd Street in the town of Raymond in Racine County.

Her identity has remained a mystery, but in 2013, her body was exhumed.
Chemical isotope testing performed by the Smithsonian on a sample of her hair and bone suggest she may originally have been from or spent several years of her life in Alaska, Montana or portions of southern Canada.

And of course I explored this...nobody found actually who could be a match....Need more eyes.....I came by an interesting story tough http://articles.chicagotribune.com/...e-20140406_1_frozen-body-palatine-1997-murder

Strange stuff is going on there....

Interesting that they think she may have spent time in Canada. Have any Canadian ladies been looked at as possible matches? Is there a database for missing people in Canada that's like Namus.gov?

I type in Canada missing and get their country's database. It's relatively new and has quite a few cases in it.
A few pages back there was one who was submitted but we don't have any updates. They take quite a while, from what I've heard, when dealing with international agencies.

Doenet also lists many Canadian cases.

On Doe Network I couldn't find any good possibilities for Canada, Alaska, or Montana. The only missing person who even reminded me of her is this one from Canada and I don't think the circumstances match.

I have a feeling she is someone never reported missing.

Hi there....

http://www.nampn.org/ Including Canada missing people

I searched canadasmissing....but maybe you see other things....

Rule-outs from Canada missing are not shown in Namus BTW
They kinda are. Patricia Salamandyk went missing from Alberta, Canada and she now shows up on the rule out list for Buckskin Girl, only I don't think it states Canada. They left that space blank, though. I think they put her on the list because she was a manual comparison and so they would stop getting submissions for her for BG

I found Amy Johnson, missing from Livingston, Montana in 1986, who resembles Jane Doe quite a bit through the chin, jaw, and forehead. But she would be ten years older than our Jane's estimated age, and she has DNA in the system so is a ruleout by default, so there's no way it's her. I'm including it just for reference in case anybody else runs across her, maybe I can save them some work :D

How could someone be
so cruel and heartless....must have had a lot of anger and dislike for women..prostitutes?
Maybe she was a prostitute or habitual runaway so was never reported missing. Could it have been her john or customer?

You would need to find out if UNT holds Racine's DNA now because LE held it a few years ago when Cathy and Carl tried to get Alexis (missing as Aundria Bowman) compared. Was a huge pain in the rear

Lisa Schmidt of NJ . Missing since 1994...anyone else think a possible match?
