I was looking at her post mortem photos and she seems to look more like 65 maybe more and her clothing look more of a person in her 60 or 70s which makes think like they killed her for her SS check or property.. that is what it seem like to me. Almost like she was a person who lived alone. Maybe if there were records of people that lived in the area who in the last couple of years before her death became widowed and people knew she was alone .

Just in searching I found a Real Estate group and this is from their site (( We have been located in El Dorado Springs,*Missouri since 1984))

Just think of Mr and Mrs Yakvolev who was a real estate agent from Brooklyn and what they did to the old man Michael Klein and others and also reminded me of Sante and her son Michael and what they did To Irene Silverman

Maybe Missouri might be too far.. but it was just a thought I had.. maybe to see who in the area was putting up new homes

Also there is this story that happened not to long ago on these 3 gypsies/grifters who befriended this little old lady in California and made her sign over her house to them and road cross country to MAINE and stuck her in a cabin.. and it was her neighbor who found her!!!.. its sad she has no family and she is now in a nursing home alone in Maine and they took everything from her. if it was not for her neighbor nobody would of known who she was. This breaks my heart because I know it happens all the time. http://www.latimes.com/local/la-me-w...012-story.html

below is a photo of the 3 people that pretty much got away with it.. there are actually a lot of gypsies/grifters that prey on old people you can find them online..
http://nypost.com/2014/10/13/elderly...n-maine-shack/

so every time I read about a unidentified elderly person I think of either a family member or one of the gypsies/grifters and the motive is to get everything that they have worked for all their lives.

I think really this is what happens with a lot of the unidentified old people.

Lola Celli would of been 62 in 1984..
I was looking at her photo and her Nose sort of reminds me of the Vernon DoeLCelli[1].jpg

its interesting I have been looking at the Vernon doe morgue photos (not reconstructions) and have been looking at her hair it almost seems as she has a little more on the upper right than the upper left which to me looks like she used to part it on the upper left. I say this because it reminded me a bit of my moms hair which I used to put curlers on or she would get a perm .. and my mom was one of those old ladies that maintained the same hair do forever.. which makes me think the Vernon doe could of been the same and parted it on the side and had her perm or curlers

I came across this I don't know if anyone else had posted it or what became of it

http://www.news8000.com/news/local-...-new-possible-lead-in-jane-doe-case/169759041

They sent her clothing, shoes and dentures to the state crime lab to be re-examined.
Retired Vernon County Deputy Sheriff Jim Hanson responded to the call the night Jane Doe was found.
He was hoping a second look would shed new light on the case.
"To lay this out to the public and the media, it is a bit of a sigh of relief to say, 'OK, we've got it to that point, now public help us out,'" Hanson said last year

Investigators also set up a Facebook Page for Jane Doe.
About half a dozen tips came in, but last September, Spears received a tip from Portage County, Wis., that caught his eye.
Three people were being investigated for cashing fraudulent Social Security checks for a missing woman

"Apparently it looks like her family had been cashing those checks for some years," said Spears. "That intrigued us because the dates were similar to our Jane Doe."
But that wasn't all. One of the three being investigated, Dolores Disher, resembled someone familiar.
"My heart skipped a beat thinking, 'Oh my gosh.' The one daughter, her picture to me seemed remarkably similar to our Jane Doe," said Spears.
Investigators still don't know if Disher is Jane Doe's daughter or someone related to her.
Spears said there's only one way to find out.
"Obviously DNA from the living relatives and comparing it to the DNA from Jane Doe should rule it out or confirm it," said Spears. "So that's what we're waiting on."
Investigators are still waiting for the DNA results to come back to see if the two women are related or if it's a tip they need to rule out.

In the meantime, they still need the public's help.
This is the most up-to-date information we have on Jane Doe:
Investigators said Jane Doe was in her 50s to mid 60s when she was found.
She had brownish grey colored hair with blue eyes.
She was about 5 feet and a half-inch tall and weighed around 150 pounds.
Anyone with tips or information should contact the Vernon County Sheriff's Department at 608-637-2123.

I also noticed now they are saying that she was 5 feet and in other places she is said to be 5.5'' to 5.6" http://www.wsaw.com/home/headlines/...-Junction-Missing-Persons-Case-168638026.html

Out of the many does, I have to say that when I saw Vernon's doe morgue photo, my heart jumped and I was shocked.

I feel that she's definitely about 55-72. And I do think that there's a few scenarios:

1) She could have been living alone for a long time and did not socialise with anybody. As a result, she could have been murdered by a feuding neighbour.
2) She could have had a child. And was murdered by that child.

It is impossible for anyone to not identify her after so long. I am sure someone out there knows her at the very least. A co-worker, an employer, a neighbour, a mailman, and the very least possible for now- a family.

It's been 4 years and I wondered what they made out of the investigation.

Cases like these are so frustrating. Considering that she was quite old at that point of time, people who knew her could have been dead by now. I hope Vernon Jane Doe gets her justice one day. I feel absolutely upset that she's died without her killer brought to justice and as of now, no clues at all.

To be honest, I doubt she had been living alone. She must have lived with a child or a husband or a family member. If she had been living alone, wouldn't neighbours ring the alarm in the way that she was suddenly missing and no one was at home? And if she was living alone, what happened to her house? Is the house still owned by her to this date with no one going into her house to ask for property resales? Her house could have had her items and belongings.

If she had been living with someone, for example- a child, and if she was killed by that child... then it would have been easier to escape a neighbour's eyes. Her family member could easily cover up her murder by telling a neighbour that she's sick and needed to go to the hospital or that they needed to move out. Her murderer then took her belongings and sold the house. It's much easier to cover up a murder like that without anyone finding out.

I still stick to my conjecture that Jane Doe had been killed by a family member.

Hello, while watching the video for this on youtube for Cayleigh Elise. She is from or lived for a long time in Onalaska she didn't have many friends but she did have a close friend she made quilts and clothes with. She has or had a son, she used to be an alcoholic I believed she knew her killer from AA they were friendly but not friends like he believed. He called her when he began to drink she came over to help him get through it he came onto her she turned him down he beat her in a drunken rage and killed her. He's dead now and he didn't live in the area for long so when he left he had no ties. I think her son is still alive but I'm not a hundred percent sure.

New evidence suggests Vernon County's 'Jane Doe' from the southwest

https://www.news8000.com/news/crime...ounty-s-jane-doe-from-the-southwest/740540067

According to the Vernon County Sheriff's Office, new evidence suggests the woman found murdered in the ditch of a rural county road in May, 1984, is most likely from Arizona or New Mexico.

Recently, all of the clothing found with the victim was submitted to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Chicago for pollen testing. The pollen profile suggests the victim is most likely from an urban area in the Semi-Arid Highlands or lowest elevation zone of the Temperate Sierra found in the states of Arizona or New Mexico.

By some it has been called the perfect murder because in a time when fingerprints were the best method of identification, this Jane Doe had no hands. They had been severed at the wrist.

Her body has recently been exhumed by investigators and sent for testing with the hope that new technology can shed some light on the case.

Bjerkos said the tests being done on Jane Doe will create a more accurate "likeness" or facial reconstruction photo, and the DNA testing should hopefully give Jane Doe back her true identity.

"In our Jane Doe case we know the hair color, we know the color (of her) eyes, and along with the precision measurements that the forensic artist is going to be doing, we feel very confident that the likeness is going to be a life-like likeness," Bjerkos said.

COLD CASE: New evidence found in woman's clothing in 1984 Vernon Co. murder

http://www.wxow.com/story/38163269/...d-in-womans-clothing-in-1984-vernon-co-murder

On Wednesday, the Vernon County Sheriff's Department said that the clothing the woman wore was tested for pollen. Based on that evidence, the pollen places the woman likely was from an urban area in either Arizona or New Mexico

The victim was wearing a plaid three-quarter length coat, brown and tan, black turquoise color with checkered pattern with a lining on the purple coat. The victim was also wearing a dress with a light blue turtle neck top; the dress has a black background with a large paisley pattern, which is blue and white. Victim was wearing nylons rolled just above the knees, a tan slip and brown shoes size 8 ½ B.

The victim had full dentures with raised numbers inscribed in the dentures, ‘p85’ or ‘p8s’. The dentures also had the numbers inscribed of 289 or 682. The other number inscribed is either 420 or 4-20. A yellow two door compact vehicle was also seen in the vicinity where the victim’s body was located.

The victim is described as a white female, approximate age of 50-63 years old at death in 1984, with brown graying hair, blue eyes, height 5’5” and weighing approximately 150 pounds. The victim also had an approximately a 4 inch abdominal surgical scar.

[h=1]Pollen links Wisconsin cold case Jane Doe murder to New Mexico, SW[/h]
Investigators believe the woman was killed elsewhere and that her body was dumped in rural Vernon County. They believe her death came just hours before her body was found.

"Somebody knew her," said Sheriff John Spears of Vernon County, Wisconsin. "Somebody knows who she is."
With new forensic evidence, Sheriff Spears and investigators at the Vernon County Sheriff's Office hope someone in New Mexico can help.

"It's just a matter of getting that information, her picture and all that stuff to that right location where somebody will put a name with her," said Sheriff Spears.

The Vernon County Sheriff's Office recently submitted the Jane Doe's clothing to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection for pollen testing.
The tests found tree pollen on the woman's clothing matching a profile though to be from the "semi-arid highlands or lowest elevation zone of the Temperate Sierra," found in New Mexico and Arizona.
A 31 year veteran of the Vernon County Sheriff's Office, Lt. Scott Bjerkos has kept track of the case since he began his career.
"Our goal is number one to identify this person, and to bring this person home," said Bjerkos.
Bjerkos spoke to KRQE News 13 Thursday over the phone from Wisconsin. He believes the latest information may finally help investigators identify the woman who was killed, and the person who killed her.

UNSOLVED: Wisconsin cold case murder victim may have Arizona ties, authorities say

https://www.abc15.com/news/state/un...-victim-may-have-arizona-ties-authorities-say

Due to recently uncovered evidence as the result of pollen testing, it’s believed the victim was likely from Arizona or New Mexico.

The woman’s clothing was submitted to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Chicago for pollen testing and a profile revealed that she was likely from an urban area in the Semi-Arid Highlands or lowest elevation zone of the Temperate Sierra found in Arizona or New Mexico.

Long shot, but could this Vernon doe be Edrel Mae Pierce?

Edrel disappeared from California a few years before this doe was murdered, but she had psychiatric problems and who knows where she might have gone and what she may have been up to. (She also had a 1 carat diamond ring and a watch with diamonds on it.)

She's the right age, height, weight. Has the right hair and eye color. One problem, is she has two abdominal scars (appendix and hysterectomy), as opposed to just one mentioned for the doe.
