Keep in mind they don't have to lay out the entire case, just enough to convince the grand jury there is probable cause to indict. It's very possible to do that in one day.
And, yes, they can take the case back to the next grand jury if this one doesn't indict.
David Lohr, crime writer (went down to help tim in the last search) said on criminal report daily (http://blogs.discovery.com/criminal_report/) GJ is expected to make a decision by EOD Tuesday. This case is the last they'll hear (at 4PM) before a new jury is seated. Apparently, there are occasions it will take months for a GJ to return. Remember, only 1 witness can testify at a time. DL says in the link above they expect a ruling by EOD (lends to, this is a slam dunk in which prosecutors will only need a very short timeframe to secure a ruling there's prob cause). And, they'll only present what they believe will get the ruling for "Yes, there is probable cause" - they do not have to convince of "beyond a reasonable doubt" in GJ trials so there's a lot of compelling evidence they could potentially decide to hold back for trial.
My bf, who's a lawyer says if the GJ returns a ruling that "Yes, you have probable cause", LE must arrest her... Now, I will caveat that with...he's a litigation attorney in CT but non the less, he is a whipper snapper and I believe that to be that case based on that.
I guess the point I wanted to make was that all we experience is the education that tells us what makes the world tic and what we can do in that world. Some people are convinced that this is a dog eat dog world and since they expect to be treated in an unfair manner, they tend not to be too interested in fairness for others. What we experience has much to do with how we perceive and understand. Casey for whatever reasons internal and external hasn't seemed to have benefited from the benefits she has received in life. And she has chosen to live in a fantasy unfeeling world either conditioned by herself or others pressures.
Since we don't have any truly effective treaments for any of them, treatment is likiely not to help, in any case. We don't have spcific and effective meds or personality disorders that work.
Many Axis IIs go to the shrink, become a perfect chameleonic patients, and take no benefit from treatment. They just become what the treator wants.
The patient DOES have to participate to benefit.
However, it is NOT true that most shrinks tend to group them together and treat them all the same. Which is why I think we'll see (if we ever see) about three different Axis II dx, in KCs chart. MOO.
Yes, that information IS quite incorrect.
I was kept locked up, and overcontrolled.
So, I got a job and got my own place. That's what KC could have done, rather than stealing, lying, and maybe worse.
That's what makes her disfunctional.
when Casey goes back to jail for murder do you think she will be put in general population this time???
I hope so
If I knew she was going to be in general population I would consider getting myself arrested just so I could go beat her up in jail. lol
Isolation for the rest of her life doesn't sound half bad either.when Casey goes back to jail for murder do you think she will be put in general population this time???

Brini---thanks for your posts. Ok true that we should be in the domain of characterlogical issues with Casey. I have read and understand that the sense of right and wrong is inborn then further developed by education. I understand it as the conscious or intuitive ability to debate inside when there is a decision to be made that there is in fact a choice to be made in some incidence in life. But if someone draws only from instinct of a drive that is not conscious haven't they short circuited that place of soul that houses the information that needs to be processed. Why would they do that like a compulsion impulsively acted upon without that deeper thought process. Isn't that the lack of development that is a developmental issue.

And I lived seriously mentally ill... psychotic, addicted to and selling prescription drugs, attempting suicide, writing bad checks, stealing from stores, crashing cars, being commited to psych wards, cheating on my husband then when I left him, working as an escort, moving in and out of mens homes that I hardly knew, arrests for assault, larceny, sale of narcotics and controlled substances, and finally, finally ended up living in the back of my car (my son slept at my mom's- she let him but not me), talking to the voices in my car stereo.
But ya know what? My child has never even had a spanking and I never lost custody of him and he never slept in the bed with me and any men I was screwing! So ya know, we make choices in life and disfunctional or not we have to draw the line at something. It seems to me murdering your child is as bad as it gets... I can come to terms with the other I have done.. just as Casey could have, she was no worse than me before all this.
But your child? To murder your child and then go on with life as if nothing happened, naw. no. That's just, No- we should stone her!
O/T...May I just say that I respect you and thank you for being honest with yourself and sharing with all of us:clap:! We all have demons in our closet, only those of us who let them out and learn to forgive themselves will find peace and be able to enjoy life again...it sounds like you are well on your way or already there! I struggle with this every day!
:blowkiss:

I had started to write out a response to the post you are responding to here as well. But I was a bit overly frustrated at the time and chose to by-pass it. Thank you for answering the post, it needed answering!
