She cannot qualify for a mortgage.

I find it impossible to believe the father can even qualify for the loan. But lets say Nadya made enough monies off as a media *advertiser censored* to put down a substantial downpayment, the money will eventually trickle down to nothing. There are taxes, utilities, etc. All the student loans she owes back, the massive hospital bill. There is not enough money in this entire story to help her afford these kids to the age of 18. Not even menial food stamps is going to do anything with the insane cost of living where she resides.

BTW, LOVE the WHITE carpets. That will so work with 14 kids.

So CPS is really going to let her 'give this the old college try hey?!'. Well which CPS management volunteered to go to jail for murder by proxy when one of these babies die. Something very bad is going to happen in that home... This is a sad day.

My thought is that when it is in her name, it will affect the various welfare she can have. The SSI is on income and assets, for example. As is food stamps IIRC.

On the Today Show this morning they were talking about how difficult it is to keep a child from its biological parent. It came up when someone asked if Octomom would be allowed to take her babies home. So what does this mean? That Octomom will take the babies home, but it will take some horrible tragedy before the state says she's not a fit mother?

if she does bring them home,then I'm hoping once the caregivers get in the house and see what's happening,they'll be able to report on it all,(and perhaps that will be enough to remove them),and hopefully,nothing bad will happen in the meantime.

Kat, your opinion, judging from the posts here, is not that unpopular. We have only one way to judge her and that's what we read in the news reports. and seen in the clips. Something is wrong with this woman. She is totally the opposite from what we see as a appropriate behavior for a responsible adult mother. We even question her motives for having so many children. Who can believe her reasons when she claims she only wanted one more child but had 6 implanted. She knew what she was dealing with. She's been there before and knew what could happen. If not, her doctor should have been more ethical.
Every day, or few days, it's something new from her that makes us shake our heads and within our hearts and minds builds a fear and uncertainly for the eight infants still in the hospital.

I was thinking about that,and if she only wanted one more girl,then she could have had the embryos tested to see which were male and which were female,as that can be done.and then had the only female one implanted.(plus,if it's true they were sewn in,then yes...she knew they were going to take).

even so,she really talked out of both sides of her mouth when she said said she only wanted ONE more,but then turned around and said she considered them ALL to be human,and as such,didn't want any of them disposed of.

Thanks for posting that, guess I missed it on the news. Maybe her father had something to do with it since her mother moved out and the father said he wasn't going to let anyone take his grandbabies away. Of course, the news is focusing more on the 2nd publicist quitting than the Angels in Waiting news. At least she's sane enough to know when to relent and wave the white flag. Hopefully she'll learn to appreciate what is being offered instead of holding on to her fantasies.

The current 6 kids need serious help that they evidently are not receiving. I believe very strongly that in time, she will be left without 1 child to raise and that is the best thing that could happen.

Oh Lord, I truly hope you are right! PLEASE let this be true. There was nothing better than this offer, it was a heaven sent offer for sure!

Maybe she woke up realizing her 2nd publicist has A LOT of crap on her and will assist in having the kids removed so she felt truly cornered! OH gosh I truly hope this is for real. To me, I think its the perfect thing to do.

Complete safety guaranteed & a bunch of trained nurses watching NADYA around the clock too all the while making notes on every little thing. Everyone can really provide the proper nurturing for the babies too. This means future safety for the children as well. Nothing is better to a judge than a huge list of professional nurses all in agreement with their opinions of the state of things going on in that home! MAYBE she has a shot at keeping these kids.

I'm suspecting there was a take it or leave it deal with CPS. Leaving her no choice at all. I sure hope that is what has happened and probably did. I just can't see her insatiable greed changing so quick without a serious threat of removal of the children.

I believe the agreement included mental help for Nadya, I had read that in a few places. It would be stupid not to make her go into therapy, clearly there are a lot of mental issues. If she has resources now, which she probaby does, she may lose the foodstamps. Doubt she'd lose the disability support for the 3 disabled children though. Putting the house in dad's name was a smart move.

*Resources meaning contributions and any deals she's made, though those would probably now be void since she has accepted the Angels in Waiting offer (which included a stipulation that she could not do paid interviews or reality shows).

I'm a Realtor so here's my take on this. Closing is PDQ - so this tells me that it could very well be a cash deal as no-one is waiting around on loan approval, appraisal or survey etc. Also, it's in dad's name so Kaiser and the school cannot put a lien on the house as I doubt that no matter how much money she has she'll never pay her bill to them.

I just read that NADYA will yet again be on the Dr Phil show for the next 2 days. What tees me off is that the guy is doing it for ratings, NOT to help her. HE knows the controversy and how the whole world hates her... so all about ratings. Dr Phil, didn't care for your show before, really can't stand it now! :furious:

Dontcha think there are other people who WANT mental help out there & your time could be put to better use? Now that these babies are going to have long term help and everyone is going to get a really good look into Nadya's life and how she parents I WANT THIS TO GO AWAY.

No one can pretend to be a well grounded competent mother for 6 months. So if she's a screw up and needs to have the children removed, it will happen. I trust fully that the nurses will be monitoring the entire situation very closely and also be given legal advice before entering the home because of the lives that are at stake.

I too hope she has taken the Angel offer. But, sorry to be so negative, but will we see a line of nurses leaving after being in the situation with Octomom. Seems like everyone who has stepped in to help has left within a short period of time.

This is exactly how I feel. I'm afraid they aren't going to want to deal with her craziness and after awhile, it's going to get old and they'll quit.

http://www.tmz.com/OMG-I am sorry...my ethical standards are shot...you have to watch the video of one of the 6 playing with the media...one of the cameramen gave him their camera and he did a fabulous impression of a photographer stalking a subject.

The sad part is when Nadya comes home to find him outside with them and tells him not to play with them...the poor boy says, "it's OK Mommy, I know them."

I believe this is exactly what will happen. And there will be a documented record of it, giving the government clear and concise proof to take to a judge for removal of all children.

Did anybody see Octomom's dad on Nightline last night? HE was scary. He comes across mean and intimidating. When asked about the possibility of the children being adopted out, he said something like "Nobody! Nobody! Nobody will ever take my grandchildren!!" and that he'd make sure of it. He was giving awful glares at the interviewer the whole time. Very mean and spiteful.

When asked about people being angry because the tax payers are paying for everything, his response is we should be angry at wall street, not them!! (rolling eyes) I think I see where she gets her attitude. I sense her dad is the same.

On a different note, since it seems an anonymous donator gave gma and gpa some help, octomom will continue to get government help, right? Because all the gifts are in gparents' names.

Everytime I hear her talk, there is just something about the way she speaks that annoys the hell out of me and I can't put my finger on it. Her tone is condescending or something. I can only imagine what the NICU nurses think. I'm sure they can't tell her anything - she already knows it all.
